Perseus almost couldn't believe what he was hearing. He was so thankful that Kura had spent the last few moments eating, and was happy that she was enjoying her food. But he continued to eye Asthar, listening to him and shaking his head in disapproval. "I don't know what you're talking about. I don't see Lady Kura in such a way as you do. I would not be so bold as to try anything, only to replace her with the next woman who catches your eye," he grumbled with a hint of resentment.
Although he didn't mean it in a rude manner, he truly did not think that Kura was the kind of woman who would take too kindly to being a trophy around a King's arm, and then, as if like an old fashion, thrown in the back of the closet for the newest woman to flaunt. She herself was royalty and deserved to be treated with such a dignity as not to be only used for her beauty.
His thoughts were suddenly cut short by Kura's voice as he looked to her once again. "You wish to see the city?" he smiled brightly. "I would love to escort you, if I may. You're welcome to stay in the castle for as long as you require. I know that it must have been a while since your family has had a comfortable bed to sleep in. I can't imagine staying in the ruins is exactly an easy lifestyle," he shrugged, his hand moving to his spoon as he slowly brought the soup to his lips.
"And please do tell your brother and sisters that they are welcome to stay here any time they like as well. My doors are always open to the Hyrule family."
Suddenly, Asthar had spoken to her, asking about him, to which he glared at him, his cheeks flushing slightly as he cleared his throat. He could see that Kura was quite flustered as well, to which he sighed. "Please ignore my friend. He likes to pester women around me because I'm apparently a 'clueless romantic,'" he shook his head, giving Asthar the stink eye.
Kura then spoke of her sister, to which he listened intently to what her opinions on the matter were. So she agreed that it was time that they started to make a name for themselves, aye? Well he was glad for that, but her next words came as a bit of a surprise to him.
"I can see your concerns, but I do believe that she has it in her to watch over her kingdom, as well as follow her duties. If that were otherwise not true, how did your ancestors do so?" he asked calmly. "However, I can agree with you on that last part - I do not believe she is in the right mindset to rule. Her obsession with rescuing Link is blinding her motives and clouding her judgment. Either she must let go, or if he truly is able to be saved... she needs to do that before anything else."
He took a pause for a moment, taking a sip at his tea, thinking of it for a moment. He never quite knew how the rest of Zelda's family felt on the situation. Especially since he himself has watched Zelda mourn for far too long. "What do you think, m'lady? Do you believe that it is possible to save the hero?"
Was that actual snark from the goodie two shoes king himself? While sure Asthar knew Perseus wasn’t one who would merely allow somebody to walk over him easily, but damn did he not expect such a reaction so soon. In a way, seeing and hearing this was something that motivated Asthar at tad further than before. The concern Perseus felt for Kura after hearing Asthar’s plan was inching Asthar’s belief that there may indeed be something already between the former princess and the current king of Labrynna.
It was quite intriguing how earlier he was praised for his popularity with women by Perseus and now all of a sudden he was scorned by the very same person. Though such a reaction was something that amusing, Asthat did find it a bit disappointing that the man he treated like a brother thought so lowly of him. True he was a flirt, but he was no man who merely diminished a woman’s worth nor merely tossed them aside due to beauty. A smile on a fair maiden’s face is all he truly desired and there was more to beauty than just an outward appearance. If he was to explain how he felt then perhaps it would be like tasting a tiny smidge of bitterness in a delicious nectar, a bitterness that would quickly fade as quick as it appeared.
With the discussion starting up once more Asthar couldn’t help but narrow his eyes and smirk a sly smirk as he looked over at Perseus as he spoke about how he’d “love” to escort her around town and “get her in a comfy bed”. This smirk only lasted for less than a second as Asthar proceeded to compliment Perseus, though it seemed Percy didn’t take well to that. The compliment about Percy caused a reaction from both that was absolutely delicious. Those two were quite high strung and it was kind of annoying, but once they became more casual to each other perhaps there is where the chance would arrive.
His smiles was calm as he closed his eyes and continued to rest his cheek on his knuckle while taking another sip of his tea “Come now Percy, aren’t you getting a bit ahead of yourself? A simple compliment such as that has nothing to do with the fact that you are a clueless romantic…even though you are…” Asthar said letting out a small chuckle “Ah, but perhaps I’ve said too much, my apologies…” Asthar said.
And so another serious discussion took place between the two and Asthar merely listened in. Thinking back to his times alongside Link and the others as they proceeded to fight Seith, it was a nice time despite all that was occurring. They fought earnestly and as companions in arms. Everyone thought Link was dead, though the few believed he was still able to be saved and in a way Asthar believed it as well. The thing he wondered however was that if saving Link was going to really solve everything or merely create more animosity. All Asthar knew was should that hero be saved he would have to walk a thorn filled path that was for sure.

[attr="class","libody"]Kura hung her head, biting on her bottom lip in thought. He had a point, but all they had to go off of was stories. Legends passed down from generation to generation; skewed to the point where they might be unrecognizable to the legendary figures themselves. All she knew for certain was the happenings of today; her sister eagerly waiting for a moment that MIGHT never come, and a kingdom tearing itself apart.
“It’s not so much that I think my sister incapable…. It’s just that… we all want what is best, for both her and Hyrule.” she sighed and lifted her gaze to give Perseus a smile, and nodding in Asthar’s direction, “She is lucky to have friends like you two.”
She lifted her cup to her lips before raising interest in Percy’s question, setting the ceramic down and pursing her lips before speaking, “I do believe he can be saved. I have no evidence to support that claim, or even the slightest idea how to go about it; but my sister thinks so, and I trust her.”
Kura furrowed her brows and lifted her hand to slid under her jaw, pressing the pad of her thumb to her chin. “My only concern is the devastation that will brought if she is unable to rescue him.”
Unwilling to think about the subject any longer she cleared her throat, “I will ask my brother to look out for Hyrule's best interests, should he also accept that Zelda should focus her current efforts on regaining peace to the remaining world, but that is an exchange for another day.”
Looking to Asthar, “My apologies on interrupting your meeting with King Perseus, if it is a burden than perhaps I can be escorted to my room? We can reconvene for dinner? I am not sure how long you are staying here as well my liege.”

Perseus looked to Asthar as he spoke, narrowing his eyes again as he hid his lips behind his cup of tea, turning his attention back to the windows as he then closed his eyes, savoring the taste. He choked though, as Asthar spoke of him being a clueless romantic, coughing slightly as he quickly set down his cup of tea.
"Clueless romantic? Hardly!" he said without hesitation, not caring of Kura were to hear. "I've got just as much swagger as you do, given I actually try. I'm just not quite as exuberant as yourself. If I intend to find myself a lady, I intend to marry. I know you find more joy from having many beautiful woman, but I personally just am not into that," he shrugged.
"By all means, you inspire me to get out there, but I'd feel... awkward, with more than one woman around my arm. I intend to find a wife and best friend," he nodded, before sipping at his tea once more. Kura then began to spoke once more, to which he looked over, listening carefully.
"I see your concern," he then spoke, when she had finished her explanation of the duty to her destiny and their kingdom. "Zelda is a smart, brave soul. I am sure that if the responsibility was set before her, she could handle it. However, I do agree that perhaps removing one of the two from her plate would be best for her mentality."
She had often wrote in letters to him of her desire to step down from the crown when they had reclaimed Hyrule. Although he wasn't sure if that was something of discussion for this table at the moment. As far as he was aware, she had not talked to anyone about it. And that's not something he would want to slip up and say, and have it get back to her.
"I also agree that without Link... there is little we can do. His courage gave hope to thousands. Many fought beside him without even a second thought--without even knowing him. It was truly inspiring to see," he smiled lightly, but it quickly faltered as he thought of the outcome. "I do hope that there is a way. I cannot bear to see Zelda hurt like this, and it is only hurting the cause more so. I don't see her as one to easily give up on saving him, so asking her to let go is impossible."
When Kura then spoke of being escorted to her room, Perseus looked to Asthar and awaited for his response as well. "While I do enjoy your company, I will leave it to Asthar to decide. He had some... interesting plans for the day if I remember correctly," he chuckled. "However I do agree, reconvening at dinner sounds appropriate!"
Almost as if a master plan had gone off successfully, Asthar’s crimson eyes narrowed as they once again looked over at Perseus with his smile growing into an almost devilish smirk. The man actually admit he had as much of a charm with women as him and did it right in front of Kura to boot! In the end Asthar actually agreed with Perseus’s words in a way, but still retained the belief that the only person holding him back was Perseus himself. At the rate he was going the young king would indeed find a compatible mate, but even then would he really know what to do at that moment? Merely sitting around was not going to find this so called perfect friend who would become a wife…even if said woman was sitting beside him.
Asthar merely closed his eyes and continued to smirk as he gracefully held up his hand and opened the palm “ah, charms, looks, manners and a kind heart, you are quite right Percy. It really is no surprise the ladies are completely head over heels for you” Asthar begun to say almost with a dramatic tone before chuckling softly “ah but my mistake, I’m sure you know what you are doing and you’ll find the girl of your dreams…eventually” Asthar said as he leaned against his chair and smiled softly as he crossed his arms “honestly though sometimes you make it sound as if I’m going around picking harlots to add to some harem or something of the sorts. Besides I’ve never said you’ll need to follow my…style…ah, but please carry on with your discussion” Asthar said as the serious discussion took place.
Zelda had endured quite a deal, more than even a queen should handle, but perhaps they were placing too much faith in a hero that may be unable to be saved. It was as they said, should Zelda be unable to save her love then how would that affect her emotionally? Would she even be able to complete her objective? Or merely toss her goal aside to live in grief? Zelda was strong and in a way Asthar had faith in whatever path she chose, but it was only a question of would she break from all the stress or not. In the end all Asthar could do in response was merely smile and nod back at Kura when acknowledged that Zelda was lucky to have him and Perseus as friends. “Just as well she is lucky to have siblings like yourself…” Asthar said calmly.
The discussion seemed to come to an end and it seemed the attention was suddenly drawn straight over to him all of a sudden. Asthar’s eyes widened a bit before he closed his eyes and continued to smile “Ah no need to apologize however two things…” Asthar said before raising his index finger “First thing is that you do not need to be so formal around me, I’d honestly prefer it there were no formalities” Asthar said before raising his middle finger as well “secondly, do not think of yourself as a burden or anything of the sorts. My meeting with Perseus was a mere casual one so you weren’t interrupting anything at all…if you are feeling tired don’t allow me to hold you back but if not….oh…” Asthar said but merely stopped mid-sentence as he eyes opened wide as he noticed something.
“ah that’s right, see right before you arrived I was planning on taking Perseus out to find himself a nice lady, if you’d like you can join as I think it would be quite fun if we went as a trio…” Asthar said holding his chin before suddenly closing his eyes with an innocent smile on his face as he faced Kura and tilted his head slightly “Though to be honest I think you and Percy would make a very cute couple” Asthar said cheerfully.

[attr="class","libody"]Kura was just finishing the small meal she was given when a sudden outburst from Perseus ensnared her attention. He snapped at Asthar, causing her to blink and raise an eyebrow in suspicious curiosity, questioning the conversation they were having. 'Clueless Romantic?.. Oh they must be referring to the undeniable attraction that Perseus has for my sister...' Kura lowered her gaze, staring at the reflection given off by her tea as she thought about the unreciprocated feelings Percy had for Zelda, and herself for him. It was like a triangle, --with Link somewhere on the side. A sigh left her lips and her shoulders fell slightly in her exaggerated disappointment.
He carried on to address her concerns about Zelda, and Link, and in her mind she could only think about the conversation between Asthar and himself. They were talking about women, and she felt her cheeks burn in embarrassment. 'You will find the girl of your dreams... eventually' A lump grew in her throat and her palms in a cold sweat.
"Oh if only you knew..." she mumbled to herself as he directed the conversation between them all to Asthar. She was a bit surprised in his response and nodded to his inquiry about her formalities, "Of course Asthar, you have my thanks."
It was pleasing to know that she wasn't intruding on anything important, and Kura smiled, until the Holodrum king revealed his true intent. Her eyes widened and her mouth fell agape. He wanted her help to find Perseus a woman....Her heart sped up, and she about pounced out of her chair in dispute, barely finding the resolve to look away and give a soft agreeance. "I-I... I mean I suppose I can h-help."
“Though to be honest I think you and Percy would make a very cute couple”
That was it, she was done. Her mind frazzled at the thought that he said it out loud, and she couldn't lie or betray her own heart. Kura stammered, her face as red as a tomato. "A-Asthar please! I-I... I am not f-fit for a king like himself"
'NOO WHAT ARE YOU SAYING YOU IDIOT!'
She did it, she lied, though poorly, and betrayed herself. This would have been a prime time to confess her attraction to the king, but instead she was a sitting fool who steamed in her chair.

Perseus could sense that there was an odd tension forming in the room as the two conversations seemed to collide with one another. One hand talking of Zelda and her duties and the other... his love life. Why did it always come down to this? And how was it that the talk of his future always seemed to go hand in hand with a conversation about Zelda? Sure he was finally able to let go of his feelings for her, but her name always seemed to haunt over his ideals for love.
Perhaps he had just been looking in the wrong direction. One part that always seemed to confuse him with the contract that bound him to Zelda during their engagement was this--why did it have to be her? It could have been any of her younger siblings, and yet it was her that was chosen for him, despite it being known that she would be bound to the soul of the hero.
His father was very thoughtful in all decisions he made, and he perhaps took this information's advantage and bound the two so that he would have ties to both countries. But in doing so... he would have lost the only heir to Labrynna. Marrying Zelda would have meant uprooting his life in Lynna and making for Castle Town.
"Whoa!" Percy started to cough, intervening with Asthar's final words at the table. "A little up front, eh? That's not exactly a proper way of trying to hook two people up, you know..." Percy's cheeks were red like flames. He looked over to Kura, who seemed to be just as embarrassed by the comment.
There was a silence over the three of them for a moment as he frowned. "Is that what you truly think, m'lady?" he started for a moment, almost saddened by her response. He had to think over his words carefully as not to offend her or to make her doubt herself any longer.
"I would be lucky to have half the woman you are, your grace. You are the absolute pinnacle of beauty and poise, as well as one of the brightest minds I've ever had the pleasure of discussion with. If I ever ended up with a woman of such grace as yourself, I would bow to her feet and worship her the moment she woke up and got ready for the day. Do not ever say you are not worthy for anyone. It is others who are not worthy to be yours." he pursed his lips. Perhaps that was a bit much.
He looked down at his plate, avoiding her eyes for a moment as it began to set in what just happened. Asthar, that sly fool. He was planning this all along, wasn't he. He looked over to him for a moment, narrowing his eyes and shaking his head, realizing what had just happened.
The so called relationship between Perseus and Zelda had always been quite a mess. While as friends their relationship was a great one, but on the romantic side it was filled with such discord that such a relationship was something that shouldn’t be. Zelda’s heart belonged to another and Perseus was ok with all that, but if it was just that simple then there wouldn’t be a problem in the slightest. That man only made it worse. King Ghaladion, that bastard of a man abused such feeling for his own personal gain.
Asthar loved to mess with that guy. There were times he tried his best to actually work with that man, but in the end he was always shut out and it was just a pointless endeavor to point that when they did have to react he’d play around with him casually. When that man announced the wedding of Perseus and Zelda all Asthar could do was laugh. In that moment during that ceremony Asthar’s laughter was loud and powerful and he laughed that the man would dare take such a forceful decision. For him and his people it was a declaration of war, that the king of Labrynna was truly abusing Daphnes’s death and trying to claim Hyrule as well. He declared that war was the inevitable outcome should he take this path, but the man was a fool and he continued on. In order to truly avoid the bloodshed however Asthar chose to leave at that moment, but he provided his assistance with both Zelda and her allies and the end that fool of a man’s ambition came to an abrupt end.
That time was nothing more than just the past, and thinking about it he couldn’t help but feel some pity for Perseus, but the younger king was a strong one. It was time for Perseus to move on and Asthar felt that it has already occurred. The next step was merely to redirect that love he had to somebody more fitted for that, but Asthar did not expect to accomplish such a task so early and easily and it sort of took away the fun.
He wanted to burst out in laughter after his words to Kura. She was brightly red and immediately nervous. It was a clear revelation that she also held feelings for Perseus as well. The two clearly held feelings for each other but their shyness just got in the way, luckily they had him around. Perseus reacted as well making it harder for Asthar to hold it in, but he managed to close his eyes and put on a frown upon his face “oh? Was I mistaken? Oh dear” Asthar said as a silence occurred as Kura said those magic words.
She sealed it, if he knew Perseus then he knew those words would bring what he was hiding out. Perseus rejected those words and with that he spoke out about his feelings for Kura. It was corny in a way, but sweet in a way. Despite his charm, it seemed Perseus was going to actually get into an intimate relationship before him. His eyes opened a tad as his narrowed red eyes glanced over at Perseus with a smirk before closing his eyes once more and took a sip of his tea. He would allow Kura to say something and maybe have a bit of fun after.

[attr="class","libody"]Blue eyes lifted from the table as his question had registered in her mind. Of course she didn't really think that, but deep down she did wonder if she was even slightly good enough for him. He was a prince --well now a king, and she was just some middle child with no ties to anything anymore. But what followed his question, nearly left her a quivering mess on the floor. Her cheeks instantly burned and the room felt quite hot. She didn't continue to touch the tea in front of her because she was afraid that it would simply evaporate out of her cup if it would come too close to her. She was utterly speechless; incapable of exclaiming how his declaration had filled her with hope.
"P-p... My king...I don't know what to say.." she stuttered through before pushing past the lump that grew in her throat. She wanted to tell him; to reveal everything she felt, but she was scared and instead kept her mouth shut. 'Hylia help me...' she thought in silence as she glanced between Perseus and Asthar.
After moments passed she bit on her bottom lip and managed to squeak out a few sensible words, "I have yet to see the city, or much of the palace. P-perhaps you could be so kind as to escort me around after tea?" It was a bit rough, but she somehow worked up the courage to ask Perseus to continue spending some of his time with her. 'If Zelda were here... she would kill me for sure.' Not that her sister was a bloodthirsty heathen, but Kura taking time like this was not pragmatic at all.

He realized his words may have been a bit... much. Pursing his lips in contrition, he felt as though maybe his words could have scared her a bit. Surely a princess would have been given every compliment in the world in her time growing up, but to hear all of that from one person might be a bit creepy. He felt his cheeks burn as the little voices in his mind began to argue with one another. No wonder he never found anyone to settle down with, honestly.
When she had stammered out her first sentence, clearly flustered in reaction to his oration, he looked at her carefully. Did... he break her? She seemed unable to respond for a moment, almost as though she was malfunctioning and unable to recollect her thoughts. He blinked a few times, looking over at Asthar for the slightest bit of help to clear the air, only to see a cheeky grin across his face. Of course he was smiling, this was his plan.
He almost felt like giving up and secluding himself in his chambers. But before he could respond to the situation, the princess began to speak once more. After tea, she wanted him to escort her around town. He looked forward, past their gazes as he froze, the hair on his neck sticking up as he tried to speak, but his tongue grew heavy and his lips glued shut. He looked to Asthar for help, but then quickly cleared his throat, laughing very calmly and nodding.
"Of course! I uh... well, there are a lot of unique places in Lynna that I think you'd enjoy. It's much different than Hyrule."
Asthar was just having an absolute blast. At this point it wasn’t even about getting the two together as it seemed that ship sailed far from the docks already. Those two were falling for each other hard but they just couldn’t admit it. While some would find such a thing quite annoying to watch the two basically hold it in so much, for an onlooker like Asthar it just amused him watching them struggle and squirm like this trying to let out how they feel only to fail. He kind of felt bad for watching them struggle like this but it was a happy time for the three of them and it was best to enjoy one’s self.
Perhaps Asthar could take credit for this, but he barely did much, at least that was what he believed. All he really did was nudge the fellow young king and tease him a bit. It was premature to say it but those two did look nice together and it would have been quite the shame if they didn’t get together because Perseus hesitated.
Kura begun to speak about Percy escorting her about, but all Asthar really heard was that she was asking him to go on a date. He had noticed Percy’s looks over at him for help, but perhaps it was finally time for Asthar to actually help. “Percy is quite right…if anything it is an understatement” Asthar said closing his eyes with a smile “Lynna is quite a beautiful place…I am sure you two will find somewhere nice to roam about together” Asthar said taking a sip before placing the empty cup on the table before him before and brushed some of his bangs of hair away from his face “ah, but would it not be radiant to walk the streets in the night? Those beautiful stars soaring high above you illuminating all before you, revealing all the wonders that the sun cannot show and bringing forth a hidden beauty of the world to your eyes…does that not sound majestic? Something worthy to be shared with a special someone hand in hand? Something that can never be forgotten, a time that will forever be ingrained in the mind?” Asthar said, his voice holding a dramatic yet very smooth and even serene tone before a chuckle was let out and a mischievous smirk “heh…Though, I’d love to be the one to tell your future kids how mommy and daddy went on their first date” Asthar. He told himself he was going to help Percy, but he couldn't help himself.

[attr="class","libody"]In reality, she merely coughed as her tea caught in her throat; but in her mind she was spewing it from her lips. Her eyes were wide as she glanced from Asthar to Percy rapidly. Kids!? Wasn't that thinking a bit far ahead? Like she IS an adult and all, but she was still young --though a King needs an heir. A concept she knew very well, as she has two siblings that hold rights to the throne of Hyrule. HOWEVER, she found herself dumbfounded at Asthar's comment, which most likely projected the two of them together.
'Is this really happening?'
Her eyes rested on Percy for just a moment before she closed them and pushed back her tea cup softly. "I have heared about how Lynna seems to light up and glow come nightfall... that would.. indeed be a sight I would love to see the most." Before she could have a chance to say more, the sound of footsteps caught her attention and she turned to see her retainer bowing politely before the three of them. "Forgive my intrusion, I only come to reassure my Lady's departure in a few hours."
"I am sorry Garret, I will be staying here tonight after all."
Though she couldn't see it, his dark eyebrow twitched in irritation as he just gave his best smiled and a swift bow "Of course my lady. Is there anything else you require?"
"Yes..... come here," she said swiftly and waving him over. Garrett tilted his head in confusion before walking over to her seat bending at the waist as she talked into his ear, "I need you to buy me a dress."
Taken aback he stammered a bit, "My lady? You have a change of clothing in the caravan we brought." "Don't argue with me Garrett, I need something nicer than that rugged one. Go into town and get me something... Lynna."
A soft sigh was hidden by a swift response "Yes my lady, I will confirm with housekeeping in where you will be staying and have it ready for you as well."
A smile of satisfaction crossed her lips as she thanked and appreciated her retainers efforts, dismissing him once more to go on his mission in which she entrusted him. 'Please, my goddess... give him a good fashion sense.'

Listening to Asthar's words of traveling the city at night, he had realized that it was a fantastic idea. Lynna City had been celebrating the Summer Solstice and the town was lit with lanterns and performers among the city streets after dark. Usually he wasn't to make an appearance until the final night for a ceremonial dinner, but he could make the exception for giving his fellow friends a tour.
As he had went to speak, Kura's hand had arrived to the scene and they spoke quietly - too quietly for him to hear and he didn't want to be rude and try to eavesdrop. But he had then left in a hurry, to which Percy had nodded. "Well then I suppose while we finish up, we can return to our rooms to settle in, get into more fitting attire, and I will show you the lights. Summer has just arrived, and the Labrynnan, rather than devoting their spiritual energies to the Goddesses, devote their time and prayer to the land, nature and animals. As such, we celebrate the coming of the solstice with dance, feast, celebration. You couldn't have arrived at a more perfect time!"
When their plates had been empty, a servant had arrived to clear the table, and Perseus began to realize just what was about to happen. He looked over the two quickly before standing and looking to the door. "I will take you to your rooms and we will meet again in about an hour, yes?"
As he had guided them down the halls, he had led them to the upper level of the castle, where he then stopped at a wooden carved door with engraved trees winding about it. Opening it lead to a grand bedchamber, a large quilted canopy bed with curtains draping to the floor filled with dried petals and leaves. "This will be your room for the night, m'lady. I'll come for you when it's time to go."
As he then led Asthar to his room, which was similar to Kura's, he had opened the door, swiftly flashing inside and grabbing Asthar and closing the door.
"I have no idea what I'm doing. What are we going to do? What do I say? What if something goes wrong??" he said in a panic, stuttering over his own sentences as he looked around frantically. "Help me," he pleaded.
Though never really having been on a true date himself, Asthar did know what he was talking about when it came to these topics. He was a flirt, but a tasteful one at that. He charmed the hearts of many women, but such things had never gone farther that they should. He always liked to see a girl smile and perhaps that was somewhat the origin of his flirtatious ways, but he knew a relationship should be with somebody special. He couldn’t say that he himself deserved a good and wonderful woman, but Perseus did and that is what he believed. True it was all fun and games to Asthar, but Perseus and Kura deserved to be happy and what better way than to join the two together when they were head over heels together.
The two lovebirds were in agreement about heading out to see the events for the Summer Solstice and that was good, though Asthar did raise an eyebrow a bit curious as he watched Kura secretly converse with her retainer. Paying it no mind as he could only assume it was a personal matter, Asthar closed his eyes and smiled nonchalantly with his hands in his pockets as he walked down the halls with Perseus and Kura towards their rooms. Kura was given her room and all that was left was for Asthar to be directed to his own room. He walked along side Perseus, but what happened next was something quick and unexpected. His eyes opened widely as he was suddenly swept into room. Before he knew it he was standing in the bedroom with the door closed behind him and a freaked out Perseus standing before him.
Taking a moment to actually adjust the sudden change and take a bit of time to watch Perseus freak out as well (which was always interesting to watch) Asthar merely closed his eyes and let out a small chuckle as he placed his hand on his friend’s shoulder and held it firmly. His eyes were closed and his face held a serene smile and look as he suddenly raised the other hand and slapped Perseus across the face with the serene look not changing. Though the slap wasn't quite hard, it was enough to at least try and snap him back into reality. “As much as I enjoy watching you all flustered you need to calm down Perky” Asthar said as he opened his eyes with a determined look as he used the other hand to grab his other shoulder as well. “Listen! You’ve gotten this far right? Have more confidence in yourself! Nothing is going to go wrong trust me! So long as I am here you don’t have to fear, I’ve got your back” Asthar said reassuringly as he gave him a grin before letting go of his friend’s shoulders and proceeded to the bed.
Falling back onto the bed Asthar laid his back casually on the bed, resting his head on top his left arm while his right leg was folded over his risen left knee. “You’re over thinking it really…Remember, she is as nervous just as you are…” Asthar said closing his eyes. “Power, Wealth ,Fame…I don’t think she is interested in any of those…she is interested in not the King, but just the man named Perseus. Don’t be so formal…just be yourself and you’ll be fine” Asthar said softly before suddenly letting out a chuckle “Now then, with that ambiguous crap said we can move on to the more helpful stuff…hmm lets see…hmm…try complimenting her on how she looks. Girls like those kinds of complements especially when they’ve tried their best to impress their man…hmm try and find something she is interested in and spark a conversation on that…show her a lot of pretty things… and…yeah…the rest is up to you” Asthar said glancing over at him. “Be more confident and don’t over think it…this is for both of you to enjoy…that is my advice…You’re going to do fine and if anything just remember I’ll be around to help” Asthar said

Normally she didn't send out her closest friend for such trivial items, but she wanted to impress Perseus tonight, so that maybe -- well she at least wanted to be noticed by the young man. Stepping away from the table, she walked with the two kings, being shown to her room and bid adieu. The door was closed slowly behind her and she took in the elegant and unique architecture of the room that she would be staying in. Fallen leaves decorated the carved flooring, and vines wrapped around tall pillars. The air smelled fresh and the bedding was soft; giving her a smile from ear to ear as her face flooded with color. 'Did I just get set up on a date?'
A swift knuckled knock on the door alerted her to a presence and she turned face to allow him to come in. Garrett closed the door behind him and sighed, "Oh good you are already here. I-"
"Lemme see it." "--... well aren't you quick to the point my princess."
He sighed once more and placed the large box that was under his arm, onto the bed. In which the princess wasted no time tearing into. The twine that held it together was pulled apart and the lid lifted to reveal the dark green colored gown. It was not decorated with beading or glimmering stones; instead it was embroidered with golden hues in weaving patterns -- much like vines that reached from the hem and up to her knees. Like her normal style, the sleeves hugged her wrists tightly, and the neckline framed her collarbone; but the dark color accented her natural reddend hair, and she looked breathtaking. Kura smiled brightly and leapt to her retainer, wrapping her arms around his neck and pulling him into a gracious hug. "Garrett it's perfect!"
Surprised by her advance, his eyes grew wide and he gingerly wrapped his own hands around her sides, holding her still as she displayed her gratuity. His eyes were still as he tilted his head, taking in her scent and smiling softly, "It was no problem my lady..." he hesitated, but finally continued, " My princess... Kura. I have been with you for a long time now... like I mean that I have served you and watched you grow.."
She backed up and raised an eyebrow to him before walking over to the vanity and sitting on the plush cushion. "Of course, how long has it been now?"
"That doesn't matter.... I know how nervous you are about tonight, and I can sense your tense emotions about your sister's predicament. Ever since we left the castle -- you have been a different person, and are wanting to take too much responsibility."
"Garrett I am a princess! I HAVE--"
"You do not!"
Kura's eyes grew wide as she stared into the mirror, not understanding where Garrett was coming from, and why he was saying this. She hesitated before turning to face him, her eyebrows turning down to question him and he continued.
"There is a saying that my father used to tell me... 'Glass half full, glass half empty; either way you won't be thirsty.'" He inhaled and stepped closer, "Count your blessings my princess, not your sorrows.... you have lost it all, and you are starting to lose yourself. But there is no much more.. and you can reclaim your crown."
He reached out and ran his fingers through her hair, delicately braiding the strands and guiding her to relax. It was like he had done this before, for another girl, a long time ago. "You are in control, put all those thoughts to rest... you can be Kura again."
He pulled the strand behind her, away from her face and she looked up at him through the mirror, "You don't know what all this is about, and you are too wrapped up in your self doubt," he patted her head gently and smiled, "You have that youngblood, now set it free."
She looked down and breathed softly, "Garrett....there is a method to my madness..."
"You don't gain anything from sadness... you deserve to be happy once again. Smile tonight princess.." With that, he left, closing the door behind him and walking down the long hallway. His eyes watering as he held the stone at his neck and his mind racing to when she first gave it to him. That was many years ago, and she was a different woman now.
She exhaled and turned to the mirror, finishing her hair as she waited for her summons to join Perseus and Asthar in the foyer. Kura's glance traced the hallway, but she didn't see Garrett standing outside her door like normal and quietly walked by herself to the main hall where she would smile and walk up to her awaiting friends.
