PERSONALITY
PERSONALITY DESCRIPTION: Ambitious, one of the many words a person could use to describe Charlemagne's personality. He's always been one to try to make things..better for himself. Though over time he has learned more of the idea of leading or even helping people seemed to help him in turn too. For a good amount of his early life he was manipulating and controlling other people. Often, times referred to his dark side by those who know him. He tries his best not to let out his drive to manipulate or play people unless it's for the beneficial part of the town.
Over all, he comes off as quite the shady character for most cases. Choosing to hide most of his emotions in order to make sure the deal play's off right. Willing to stay silent while he focuses on observing. And most of all, he has no issue in taking advice from those he sees as worthy. However, like everything these traits all only started to appear ever since the fall of Hyrule. His own ambitions always being present, but with the fall of the 'kingdom' in some ways. It lead to his drive being higher then before. To move his family forward he will do pretty much anything. So long as it doesn't harm the former crown in some way. But even then, his darker self would probably have no problem with that either.
He after all things is a business man. That alone is more then a statement. Willing to do trade agreements with just about anyone, to playing people in order to get a better take on something. It was all in the end the game of his own making that brought forth his own ascension into the leader of the town. That of course fueled by vengeance was more then enough to make his darker self come out. The only thing that will hold him back is his own loyalty and honor. He will hold a deal, to all accounts unless it endangers the people he is now sworn to protect. He often fights though with his own inner workings of the serpent in order to make sure his self doesn't come up before their values.
Charles also is very much based on the concept of his Legacy. What he can leave behind for his potential future family, and of course how he can aid them possibly in their future. He is aware that for the most part he is older then many when it comes down to the ability to marry for some. But he still keeps looking about. As this effects how he may look at some people. He is no horn dog, but will not hide his likeness of a woman.
When it comes to blood, he has no problem with it. Death, isn't something he's unfamiliar with.
LIKES:
* Vengeance : Charles is very much into the idea of vengeance. Understanding that there are times when justice itself just isn't enough to help solve a problem. His own life being this way.
* Economics: When it comes down to it, he has a great interest in the trade and business of the world. He has a mind for it. He honestly though enjoy's it just as much. Anything Business wise is something he will dig his teeth into.
* Loyalty : Though he tends to seem off to many people. He is rather loyal. His own life having been quite different in some ways then the others in the town, he has for the most part learned that loyalty among friends, and being loyal to those you trust is something that is more then important in almost all situations.
DISLIKES:
* Betrayal: Charles has a rather massive hatred of acts of betrayal. In all forms of the word. From back stabbing to poison. It gets on his nerves. To the point that he himself will make the people or person, suffer eternal hell if possible.
* Incapable Leaders: Feeling that people who lead are more then just a title. He often has an issue with someone who is a leader, not able to lead. It will drive him nuts if they can't see the right choice to make. Or predict the next move that will come. There are mistakes of course, but over all...no leader should be just put there without the right knowledge.
* Intolerance: He's one of the more tolerable of people when it comes to race. Having no value per say into what a person is or was. He is open at all times to different people and what they can give him in information or other means. However, the main issue he has is those who don't have some sort of tolerance. Seeing them to be more like children then anything else.
MOTIVATIONS:
* Legacy: Charles is rather focused on making a better legacy for his bloodline. This just so happens to go well with his people he is currently in control of. He believes in expanding his family once more, and giving more power.
* Aiding the Queen: In an odd sense, he has respect for the 'former' queen. Though she isn't seen as such by much of hyrule anymore he does still work to in a way, aid her. More then willing to show to the people who came from the capital that it's not so bad living in this new area.
* Economic and Military Success: He has a brain that seems to want to claim aspects of power and wealth. As such it's something that drives him forward. Something some people tend to take to another level, he just wishes to make sure that Kakariko becomes a force to be reckon with if need be.
FEARS:
* No legacy : Being he is one of the last members of his main line. He has a fear of being that. The last of his main line. Meaning he will need to find himself a means to secure his line. Being a new leader of Kakariko, he needs to make offspring. The fear of not having it, is something hounds his mind quite often.
* The fall of the Queen : At the lost of the queen he would have to figure out a real means to take over. As it is he needs to work with changing his city/village. He fears that if she should fall, he would fail in being able to unite the entire country under his banner. As the chaos could just consume anyone who doesn't play their cards right.
* Falling to His inner Darkness : Like many people, he has a dark side to himself. A side the eats at him, wanting him to do worse and worse things that are more selfish then not. He doesn't enjoy the idea to falling to it. Not something he could try to avoid. He is aware...of the darkness more so then so many others.
HISTORY:
4 years ago the fall occurred. Well, one could call it that. With the out right throwing out of the system that had been beneficial to the former houses of the Kakariko Village. For the most part before this the village had followed a sort of election system. With the citizens selecting between the noble houses that were all in some way merchant based. Well, that was for the most part depending on what they sold, and what trade they were in. For the most part there was once 3 houses. And, if everything would have went as planned then for the most part there would have been another election. That was, before the fall...with the chaos erupting as the seemingly blanket of darkness fell onto the kingdom in both literal sense and in the political sense. With the masses seeming to flock away from the current chaos on all angles many ran towards the forces that were present. The city, at the time a village for the most part. Took in all it could. But in the chaos, something became increasingly present. They needed ruler ship not just a small election system that had for the most part held out. No, someone needed to take hold.
Charlemagne's family had long since been one of the houses in this sort of Noble Republic of sorts. Often dealing in the trade of the more military style. Holding out their connections to of course allowing a more diverse flow. They for the most part would but heads with the other houses. His father had died about 1 year prior to the incident, in a well covered up scenario that so many hadn't seen threw. The veil of the war that was blooming or soon to come for the most part allowing the other houses to poison his father and mother. In an action that was for the most part an act to make sure they would get hold of the next election. They hadn't counted on the very goddesses themselves destroying the entire fundamental nature of the entire world they knew. They killed in cold blood with tactless want. Their greed blinding them to the young man that was watching them ever so carefully from the shadows of his house. Never promised anything, in fact, though being the oldest he was the most despised out of his house. The Serpent, it was a name well received to him by the other members of his own household. A name he allowed them to bare, to throw around. Whenever there was bad things done it was his fault his issue. Not theirs. Why would they be the ones to have their hands sullied by their own failures. He would for the most part shrug it off. But not this time...no this time they had ruined his life too much.
The Chaos made a perfect cover, a perfect means to bring up any coming events that may have occurred or not a hidden repose for those who believed they would have been given something more then the brutality that spewed forth on that night.
Like always they were taking in more of the refugees before the houses went back home. For the most part, being the new head of the house meant he had to keep his “look” in check. Though he often didn't care too much about anything other then the well planned game he hand in place. With a sword in hand he moved over towards one of the houses during the silence of the night. The guards were for the most part far to busy at this point dealing with the increase surge of population to ever notice anything. That, and the current mayor was the one moving around at night. They wouldn't question to much about him. Let alone he wasn't going to just brandish the weapon out in the open so easily. He was hiding it for the most part. To enter the houses wasn't hard either. He had some deals already laid out with the servants inside, leaving doors unlocked and more. The other houses had long been abusive to some extent. So was the rumors, so it wasn't to hard to get that. Then began his systematic elimination of the top brass of the house. His blade was easy enough to cut threw their throats. Ending all their lives one by one as he began to be covered in their blood with each killing. The guards within the building were all out, as everyone was needed to protect the citizens.
He loved the feeling, watching them die it made him hold a grin on his face with each one, their red blood spilling to the ground. Ahh, how much he missed such a sight. The true sight that was only deserving of these fools who murdered his family. Over their money gains? They didn't even get that. It wouldn't take him long to take down the heads of the houses. Using the back allies in order to get back into his own home. Before changing out of his tunic. Surprising the maids with it's wet feeling, though it's dark color kept the blood from showing mostly. He walked further into his manor before taking a seat in the chair looking to the portrait of his father. Laughing loudly as his plan had begun to tick into place.
With the opposing houses heads dead they too fell into disarray. Grasping to try to take what they could he would take it all from them. No longer by physically ripping their heads off, no they needed to suffer. He moved to make deals. Making bonds with any and all the traders. Using the military paths for trade. Or changing around hidden ones that were discovered by his own scouts. He worked with the gorons, which his family had for the most part been rather kind to. Often admiring their own work. Of course this wouldn't be unheard of in the village. But not everyone would be used to them most likely. He moved to bring forth plans in order to enlarge the city to compensate for the growth of people. While protecting the graveyard as well.
His last move, after taking their money, the trade they had, and their heads. Was simple, give them to the people by removing any chance of them taking over. In a speech he brought forth the factors of how their system was clearly full of greed, and for the protection of the realm the nation needed to fall onto the shoulders of a single ruler. A house that had never once failed to help all who came in, and those who were already here. By expanding the walls, gaining the size and most of all working to secure the much needed goods for the people in the town. To the point of giving food when needed to those who couldn't get it in the slums.
After the final elimination of the last straw of the former houses. And his claim to the throne finally in place. He began actual planning into helping the financial crisis the city was in. Even with all he managed to do there was one major thing he could not keep away from them all. The simple concept that the land was indeed in chaos and trade routes and more would become problematic. The extension meant they needed more soldiers, and the Gorons were more then willing to help them out. As they would trade with them with no means of a charge that may come for bringing goods into the Village. For the most part this all made sense. But he needed to put in the pieces to help push everything forward. And so he would have to work on the very things they used to have multiple houses to hold it together for.

APPEARANCE DESCRIPTION:
General Appearance: Charlemagne is rather un-showing when it comes to his casual wear. Though many will normally brandish exotic clothing or rich clothing in the merchant world to show off their wealth. He has grown to feel more comfortable when not dealing with certain people in casual clothing. Allowing him to at times blend in with the crowd around him. He has long blond hair that he usually keeps down. His blue eyes seeming to be for the most part fierce and filled with determination. His skin is rather pale, throwing off some people by it's complexion at times when knowing who he is. He has normal rounded like ears, that have a slight minor point to them, though still keeping to the human aspect of things. His mouth is slightly thin lips. His over all physic is that of a fit combatant. Which for the most is another oddity to see to some. When for the most part the wealthy merchants tend to be rather...plump from their own money. He wears brown boots, and just a normal set of pants and shirt.
Business Appearance: When it comes to business, he will wear whatever is important at the time for that transaction. Not a fool to how business can be a play on looks as well. He generally will garnish whatever the valued material would be for said transaction. Generally, he will wear a more rich quality tunic, ranging from colors of Red and browns. His clothing will generally be a fabric of leather to cloth depending on the situation. His concept of the fashion of the people also coming into his mind when he figures out or asks about it.
