Heavy breath accompanied the Sheikah as he ran through the plains holding his side as red dripped down his hip, face, arms, just about whatever small area that the leather armor he donned didn't protect him. He could see the sun starting to rise in front of him while the ratting of bones was close behind him and getting louder. He didn't even bother looking back, he knew those Stalfos were close and their time chasing him was almost up. He knew that they would never really attack in daylight so his only option was to lose them until then, thankfully one of the goddesses must have seen his trouble and before him was a grove that he was approaching. He ducked behind a tree whose roots were climbing out of the ground as if the whole thing grew sideways and fell onto his butt as he tried to quiet his breathing.
He clutched his sword closely to his chest as he tried to listen to the sounds around him while light slowly crept up on his legs. He stretched his neck around the hole he found himself in to look back from where he was running and noticed that there was no sign of anything chasing him anymore. "Okay...looks like its safe..." The sunlight soon coated the entire area and he lifted himself up from his position and walked out of the grove still breathing heavy as his wounds were starting to ache from all that running. "Damn...why'd I forget a potion?" He cursed himself as he placed his sword back into its scabbard yet leaving a tight grip on it. He looked like an easy target for bandits or monsters, bloody, slow, weak, he was not going to let some thug just jump him only because his monster hunt didn't end as successful as he had hoped.
His eyes scanned and saw nothing, he must have been safe for now yet he new better than to still stay in the open. Gripping his sheathed sword still he retreated back into the grove but set himself down against a different tree and pulled out some bandages out of one of his few satchels that he still had on his person. Unfortunately there wasn't much gauze left so he used what he could to cover up the wounds around his torso and sword arm, they were the more important parts of his body that required his priority. It was hard to keep an eye on the area around him to make sure he wasn't attacked, wrap his body with bandages, and hold back any pain he was still feeling.
