[attr="class","jartoxpost"] It was a night of rejoice; Labrynna was lit with lanterns, decorations, and fireworks were due at the end of the night. Asthar had ran off with a woman of his own, leaving the pair of royals on their own. Percy was as nervous as ever, however still quite aloof of just how intimate their night would become. He was wearing his ceremonial attire of a long, deep blue robe with sandals, and a parasol in hand, similar to one that he had given Kura as they began to walk around the city. [break][break] He truly didn't know what to say, and found himself stumbling over his words when he did, but when Kura had met with him at the grand hall of the Palace, he was truly without words at the beauty that was in front of him. For someone new to the culture of Labrynna, she had looked the part completely. He had bowed to her presence, taking her arm with his as they headed toward the city. The glowing flames of the lights that were strung up along the path illuminated and sound of music in the distance grew louder with every step. [break][break] "I know that you may feel worried that someone may recognize you, but you are completely safe while you are in my care," he said quietly to her as they continued their way to the square. "For someone to attempt harm against you would be to attempt harm against me, and I will not have such treason." It was part protectiveness to his voice, and another part frustration, as though the idea of someone trying to pull something so foolish would anger him to no end. [break][break] When they had finally made their way to the grand square, there were many stands that were erected for the festival itself; games with prizes, an area for dancing, and a stage where performers danced and played music. There seemed to be something in every turn, a new area with a set theme for the festival. "If you're hungry, there are dozens of stands. Or do you want to play a game? I want to make sure you enjoy tonight, so if you see something that interests you, allow me to take you," he smiled lightly, looking around at the sudden pause of people staring at the two of them. [break][break]Though the festival barely seemed effected by his presence, it didn't stop several people from gazing at them in confusion and awe - some even bowed, to which he flushed lightly and looked down, still a bit bashful to the habits of citizens in his presence. It was then, that the whispers among them immediately caught his attention. [break][break] "Is he with a girl?" "I thought he wasn't interested in courting!" [break][break] He growled a bit under his breath, the attention swarming to them suddenly becoming a bit overwhelming. "Okay-Okay-please!" he snapped at the crowd. "If you would please be so kind as to allow me to enjoy the night with this beautiful princess. Surely you can gossip to your hearts desires once we are out of sight." [break][break] He began to walk forward once more, arm still linked to Kura's as the crowd parted quickly, allowing them to pass. "I'm... sorry about that. I'm still not used to the whole 'king' thing... and I didn't really get out much until a few years ago."

[attr="class","libody"] 'Is this all a dream' she asked herself as they walked together down the lit up streets of Lynna City. It was more beautiful than she could imagine and the feeling was overwhelming as she held closely onto his arm. Her cheeks were a constant shade of pink and if she stood still for more than a minute -- she was shaking faster than a maraca! Kura smiled softly and glanced up at Perseus. "I feel safe here with you, even in the center of a busy city." The thought of having to hide never even crossed her mind, and for once she felt at peace, and like she was a normal girl again; a feeling she had not felt since the day of Zelda's coronation so many years ago. Since then, all of them had changed a little. She was no longer so free spirited, and Zelda grew more hopeless in the fight to bring back the Hero. She could even feel that King Perseus had changed; much like he was taking on more responsibility since his coming to the throne. So it was no surprise to her when he displayed his courage towards the idea of her being attacked while in his possession.
However, he was his normal -- quirky self, as he snapped at the crowd around the two of them. Getting worked up over their judgements and Kura giggled. "Pay them no mind. Your people are only expressing their shock over their King being out and about. It's a feeling that will never go away, and when I was younger, I loved to walk around the city and see everyone's smiling faces."
She smiled and glanced to a hearty older man advertise his festival stand. "Are you even good at any of these games? Is the festival like this every year? It's so lively!... I miss attending things like this." she said softly as she watched a small girl run past her with a large stuffed and clearly hand decorated doll in her arms. It looked like one of the dozens she had in her room when she was small. Though their cultures differed, there were more similarities among them than anything.
"So your father wanted to see you with my sister... so you could take the throne of Hyrule... what would have happened to Labrynna? He would not have lived as king forever, and you don't have any siblings... Did he aim to combine the two kingdoms? -- We are not so different after all..." she trailed off thinking that the political talk may be a bit boring for him... "Ah my apologies, I don't want to dampen your evening," she said quickly with a smile before continuing to walk down the busy street.
"Oh! I'd love to see a play! I haven't been to one since I was a girl!" she exclaimed, thinking about the story that would be told at a festival like this.

[attr="class","jartoxpost"] As they continued their path through the lanterns, his face tinted red as she explained the citizen's reasonings, and he looked down, pursing his lips with a small grumble, "It'd help if they didn't get so worked up over the fact that I was with a girl," and even more quietly, "Everyone thinks I'm gay." That was his only peeve with the societal standards of Labrynna. He was still quite young, and yet they just expected him to pluck a woman from the streets and claim her his own to bear a new heir. [break][break] The topic seemed to fade quickly though, and she began talking of the games around them, to which he smiled. "Am I good? Most of these games require aiming precision, and as a skilled archer, they should be fairly easy. Though it's been a while since I attended one of these for fun..." he trailed off, looking to the different vendors they walked past. "When my father and I attended the ceremony on the final night, it was the only time he would allow me to wander - with supervision of course. I spent a lot of my childhood grinding at a lot of these prize stands. I think at one point I had an entire room just filled with different toys and trinkets I won - it's probably still there actually..." [break][break] "But yes, they hold this festival every year as summer reaches its peak. We give thanks to the land before us and although winter is seen as the turning point of the year, the solstice represents a time of fertility among the Labrynnan folk, who spend this season engaged in the pursuits of romance and song. They spend the week around dancing and singing, involved in nothing but merriment. All important decisions and actions are postponed until the week is over. This is the time of year when most couples bond in marriage or announce that they are promised--" he stopped for a moment, blinking. "Oh, no wonder they were so excited to see me--oh no--they think we're getting married--I'm so sorry," his palm met forehead in embarrassment. [break][break] Kura then asked of his father, and the marriage assigned between he and Zelda, to which he looked down shamefully. The last thing he wanted to do was have her second guess this entire affair as a last resort. Quite honestly, he had come to the realization that he was never actually in love with Zelda, and it was more so his own defense at an impending marriage he thought was inevitable. "My father..." he murmured for a moment before completing his thought. [break][break] "As mad as he was, he was a brilliant mind. He had this elaborate plan, not just to hold power for himself, but the Elein name as a whole. Once I was married to Zelda, I would trump her coronation by taking command as King if we were to marry before she was titled Queen. Once that was set, he would return to Labrynna to rule there, until we were to have a son to claim the title from him after his passing," he explained carefully. [break][break] "My father wasn't very old, and he had at least twenty more years on his life--and that's if he didn't take care of himself. His death was sudden--a divine intervention if you will. The Goddesses saw his actions of taking Hyrule as treason, and as such, he suffered the consequence. But his plan had been falling apart already... Zelda refused to marry, and I wouldn't allow her to go through with it even if she complied. She belonged with the hero." [break][break] Perseus had never talked much about his father - especially after his death. It was no secret the two had never gotten along, but he still felt among the realm of failure in his father's eyes for betraying his trust. Despite the wickedness displayed, he knew that it was all in the name of his heir. It didn't take away from the wrongness of it though, and for that, he found it hard to forgive. He became visibly frustrated by these thoughts, to which Kura had spoken again. Looking over at her, he smiled coolly to her apology. [break][break] "No, no, you don't have to apologize. There's an aura of mystery that surrounds my father, even in death, and I don't want you to get the wrong idea of my intentions." And just then, Kura lit up at the thought of seeing a play, to which he chuckled under his breath. "A play? Hmm...." he thought for a moment, looking toward the amphitheater over the hill. "I believe they are doing a play that is a retelling of the Hero of Twilight's adventures. Does that sound interesting to you?"

[attr="class","libody"] His boastful nature was a pleasure to her as he explained his keen nature to win the fun try-hard games around them. She giggled and swiftly nodded, "Yes of course! I shouldn't doubt how skilled you are when it comes to being able to hit a target once you have it in your sights." A soft smile decorated her face as she held onto his arm, taking note of how close she was to him and blushing in embarrassment. Many eyes followed them, and those that didn't notice the two of them, were normally set on their own goals.
It took a moment, but slowly Kura started to notice the amount of paired men and women, old and young, that dotted the scene around them. It wasn't until after his swift explanation of this festivals custom that she realized just how this situation looked to an outsider...and she quickly began to panic on the inside. Her mind filled with questions, that she began to mutter to herself all at once.
'Was this a good idea?' 'What does this mean for us?' 'I hope he isn't getting scared off...' 'Wait did he call me beautiful?'
Realizing that he apologized she let go of his arm and raised her hands to reassure him, "No no... that's umm.. quite alright. I understand how it must look to someone else haha..."
"The Hero of Twilight, I am not familiar with this story, and would very much like to see it," she said as she was already walking towards the theater. Like she expected, it was a lovely outside area, with a natural slope that allowed for everyone to see the happenings. There were padded benches placed around low tables, and each had a candle and were decorated with small shiny particles that glimmered from the aspected lighting around them. It was a beautiful area, with streamers and curtains that framed it all so perfectly. From what she could see, it had not started yet but they were approached by a very cheerful middle-aged woman. "Your Highness! If it pleases you I have a separate viewing area over he--" though she was cut off by Kura who raised her hand to stop her.
"These seats are fine right here. I am sure King Perseus would agree as well." If there was one thing, Kura never liked to be labeled by titles, and would rather be treated equally with her people; a custom that she even makes her closest friends and retainers upkeep. She opts to be viewed as a person and a human first before seen as a Royal Princess.
Taking a seat she slid onto the bench and smiled, urging Perseus to take a seat next to her. "I am curious about how historically correct this will be!" she giggled before continuing, "The ones in Hyrule were so over exaggerated that I was sure even the names were false."

[attr="class","jartoxpost"] When the two had arrived to the seating area, he noticed the woman who had offered better seating for them, to which Kura declined before taking her seat where they had already chosen. He chuckled lightly, shaking his head before taking a seat next to her. "Don't like the special treatment, I see?" He thought it was cute, personally, and in way, he saw himself in her. He had been the same way when he was prince. Unfortunately... having to take the role of King changed things drastically. He had so much to do for his people, and he barely found the time to be "normal". It was a nice change of pace to leave the palace and walk in normalcy, with no worries of duties. It was the one thing he missed about the world before the war. [break][break] The lanterns had dimmed around the stage, as people began to quiet, preparing for the actors to appear. "I'm... quite surprised you haven't heard this tale. He was the last hero to appear before Elinkar, and I believe you are directly related to him. He's known for his journeys through the Twilight Realm and back, taking the form of a divine wolf and simultaneously ending the feud of the Twili and Hylians." Drums sounded from the orchestral band that was behind the stage, and two people appeared center stage. One, clothed in farmhand garbs and the other in a common village tunic. [break][break] "Tell me...Do you ever feel a strange sadness as dusk falls? They say it's the only time when our world intersects with theirs... The only time we can feel the lingering regrets of spirits who have left our world," the first spoke, looking to the farm boy. "That is why loneliness always pervades the hour of twilight...But enough talk of sadness...I have a favor to ask of you, Link. I was supposed to deliver something to the royal family of Hyrule the day after tomorrow... would you go in my stead?" [break][break] The scene had faded after a short interlude into what appeared to be Link saddling to go to Hyrule, when Twilight had fallen over his village. A Shadow Beast's arm bursts through and pulls him through the wall. However, the power of the Triforce symbol on Link's hand makes the creature drop Link. Link turns into a wolf, passes out, and is taken to the dungeons of Hyrule Castle by another monster. [break][break] The play was actually very well written. Based on the texts he had read from the past, they had done their research on the events, though they seemed to REALLY focus on the romantic bond between Link and Zelda... which was practically non existant until AFTER the war ended. But alas, this was a festival for lovers, and so the theme was probably set this way on purpose. Perseus found himself - whether voluntarily or not - inching closer to Kura as the play progressed, until the tips of their fingers had met. [break][break] When he had realized just how close they were, his face reddened, and he grew rather flustered, trying his hardest not to look and to focus on the play. But it was so hard to keep still. Eventually, he sighed, giving up on his mental battle of 'hold her hand' or 'don't', and he accepted that it was just going to happen. His hand had moved him, taking hold of hers gently, and he smiled sheepishly, looking down. He didn't realize just how bad he was at making a move until just then. [break][break] But when the play had come to a close, the applause roared and people began to exit the area. He took a moment, looking around, and he would motion for Kura to stay put for just a moment. "Don't leave yet. The best part is coming," he said quietly. As people began to drift from the amphitheater, the orchestral group stayed in place, as the actors then lit the lanterns and candles that were hanging from above. Music began to play softly, a ballad of sorts, and couples began to slowly approach the stage. [break][break] "Dénië -o i ithil," Perseus said finally as he stood, holding his hand to take Kura's. "It is the lover's dance, and well, until today, I've never really had anyone to dance with for it. May I have this dance?"

[attr="class","libody"] Kura bit her bottom lip and looked away at the mention of the Hero of Twilight. She had of course fibbed about never hearing of it. It was actually one of her most read tales during her time in the castle, but ever since she had discovered her similar gift, Kura negated to read and or think about it. To her, the tale was a reminder of her liability to those around her. 'If only I could use it to save the world like he did...' she thought to herself as the lights dimmed and the actors began to preform.
The play was similar to the story in the books she enjoyed, only putting extra emphasis on the relationship between Link and the previous chosen of Hylia. Kura frowned slightly and furrowed her brows, she lingered on the idea of the Hero and her sister Zelda. Two souls that were destined to be together since birth, and to keep peace in the world -- how much is Zelda suffering, with her Hero trapped in another existing realm? Kura's heart pained for her sister, and looking at Perseus, she couldn't imagine what it would be like for him to disappear as well.
A soft brush of skin against her hand had caught her attention, and she looked down to see his around her own. Her heart skipped a beat and she blushed intensely, her eyes glancing up to meet his. Once again she was like a puddle, so flustered to even say a word and she had to force herself to look away and stop staring up at him.
At the end of the play she smiled and was about to move away when he asked her to stay. Her brows raised in curiosity, waiting until the actors once again moved to change the lighting and a gentle ballad filled her ears. Kura glanced around, as the remaining couples stood and began to dance to the melody. Kura looked up to Perseus who offered his hand and she took it sheepishly, "But I... I don't know this dance," she said shyly, looking to the other couples to revel in this tradition.
She stood none the less and walked with him to the stage, her fingers gently intertwined with his as she nervously looked around. The gap between them closed and her cheeks grew red in her embarrassment and excitement. She opened her mouth to speak, but hesitated, biting her lip before pushing past the lump in her throat, "Perseus... why have you... umm why do you not have a...a-a Queen yet? I would assume it's a tradition of your culture just like ours, and you are of age." she finally struggled to get out, realizing how ridiculous of a question she looked away, "I am sorry... I'm only curious."

[attr="class","jartoxpost"] Kura expressed apprehension to dancing around the others, to which he chuckled lightly, shaking his head. "Don't worry it isn't anything intricate. It's just a normal slow dance. Now the wedding dances... those are the ones that require practice," he rolled his eyes playfully. He remembered very clearly having to learn these difficult moves when they were leading up to he and Zelda's weddings, and he hated it. It was a whole ceremony, performing a story through dance, and Zelda, of course, did not care and refused to learn it properly, making the whole situation all the more difficult. [break][break] Still, Kura complied and had moved forward to take his hand, and he moved his other to the small of her back, holding her gently as the two began to move with the rhythm of the music. Others around them took note of their King dancing with the princess from Hyrule, but respected the silence of the dance, as it was meant to appreciate your other half, rather than those around you. He watched her carefully, a relaxed smile resting in place until Kura had finally spoken, a slight hitch in her voice from nervousness. [break][break] She asked why he didn't have a queen - a question everyone seemed to ask, but rather than annoying him, it made him chuckle again, shaking his head as he looked away for a moment, trying to collect his thoughts to think about it properly. "Well..." he started, pausing again as he tried to choose his words carefully. The two swayed to the music, as his hand around her waist had pulled her a bit closer, and he dipped her down, a modest smirk forming upon his lips. [break][break] "I guess you can say I just haven't found the perfect bride yet." [break][break] As he pulled her back up gently, he twirled her around before pulling her close again, looking up in thought once more with a more serious answer. "To be quite honest, my advisers have been itching for me to find a wife for a very long time. But anyone they suggest just doesn't fit my preference, I suppose. I don't want to just choose a wife like a piece of clothing. I'd rather take the time to truly learn about someone, and find out their passions and form a bond emotionally. So I'm taking my time." [break][break] They continued to step, their feet in sync with the strings as the song had came to a close, and everyone began to clap and bow to their partners. Perseus stepped back, bowing respectfully to Kura before holding out his parasol for her to walk beside him under the shade. "Hmm.... so what's next on the agenda..."
[attr="class","libody"] The words had already left her lips before she realized exactly what she had asked, and instantly she had regretted it, wishing she had not said anything at all as Perseus chuckled at her inquiry. She had thought about how it might have ruined the moment between them, or perhaps it felt pushy, but either way she expected an undesirable response from the King.
Yet....
A soft weight rested on her waist, urging her closer and into a small dip. A handsome smirk crossed his lips and in the moment her heart skipped a beat. If she had the choice, she would stay in that blip of time forever, in his arms and glancing into those sparkling eyes of his. But it only got better as he pulled her back on her feet and released her waist, raising her hand to guide her into a twirl. She was in pure awe of the King, her eyes never wanting to leave his, and she grew nervous as he pulled her close once more. She could start to feel her muscles tense up and shake in her excitement as she looked up at him -- yet before she knew it, the song had ended and he stepped back to bow. She merely blinked and pushed her hair behind her ear before meekly responding with a curtsy.
It took a moment for her to regain herself, glancing around at the couples that left the area to wander. She watched them carefully, wondering where they would take their partner during this time, and she realized that she knew quite little of the King himself. She always felt so strongly for the man, but never really knew who he was, or what he liked. She pursed her lips before looking up at Perseus.
"I.. I want to know more about you," a rather declaring response and she realized that he might need more to go off of, "I... in Hyrule I always had one spot I would go to... Well I couldn't really leave the Castle, but none the less it was my favorite spot. Did you -- or do you have that special place?"

There were not many words spoken between the two - though Perseus could see that a lot was going on in the princess's mind. He respected their silence, allowing her to clear her head to find the words she found most useful. [break][break] Perseus himself found no need for words as they circled around the path, visible light from the lanterns strung high across the buildings coming to view. Finally, words emitted from his partner's lips, and he turned to her with very delicate eyes. His own lips parted for a moment, but pursed tightly as the question was asked. Eyes evaded for a moment when he attempted to revisit this place through memory. He hadn't been there in ages. Probably not since before the war. It was his own special place, one where his father couldn't bother him. It was his best kept secret in terms of hidden treasure. [break][break] "It's... it's definitely been a while since I've been there," he finally nodded. "I doubt much has changed since I've last visited." A devilish grin crept over him as he looked back to Kura with smug intent. "But you'll have to promise you won't show anyone else," his hand moved from her waste to her hand. In an abrupt turn, he pulled on her with gentle force before springing toward the palace, Kura trailing behind him. [break][break] "Excuse me--coming through!" Perseus shouted as he flashed in front of several people, only inches from running into them. "Make way for the king!" [break][break] After they had arrived to the gated entrance, he turn a turn through the outer gardens, circling his way around the palace as they were brought to a cliff, which the castle had been built into to look over the river and Fairies' Woods. There was a long shoot, but if they were to jump in right angle and direction, a small opening was broken out onto the cliff, which opened up into dark cavern. It may have looked a bit ridiculous - scary even - but Perseus had been down this way so many times, he knew just the way to fall. [break][break] Before Kura could make any argument (he hadn't even looked to see her reaction), the King hopped over the edge of the cliff, jumping down into the cavity. Looking back up at Kura, he held his arms up and smiled bright. "Do you trust me? Just jump, I'll catch you, I promise!"

shining bright she is like the sun, waiting there for her fate to come
[music]http://k003.kiwi6.com/hotlink/8723cyoy84/Sword_Art_Online_OST_-_In_Your_Past_A_Tender_Feeling.mp3 [/music] It would be no secret that Kura was taken aback by the sudden change of Perseus. His stoic face twisted up into a devilish grin and her eyes grew wide with concern. Her mind immediately filled with questions about just what kind of place he would take her to. What kind of place would demand such a secret? A special hidden dungeon? But before she could ask, his firm grasp of her hand startled her and they were off; dashing through the streets, weaving around couples as they hurried. Kura actually grinned and chuckled softly as she thought about the people's reaction. It was almost like they were kids again, playing tag or hide and seek -- back when things were simpler. Though of course that is wrong.... things have never been simple, but perhaps to a young child, they may have been.
They were headed for the palace, but instead of leading through the front door, he turned to take her through the gardens. If she had the time, Kura would stop and take in the love landscape of Lynna castle, but her escort was steadfast to getting to their destination. Coming just around the castle, they stopped at the cliff and she was able to relax herself and catch her breath from the sudden dash to get here. Kura was about to turn to Perseus and ask him about the place but suddenly he hurled himself off. Panic overtook her as she reached out as if to catch him, but it was too late... he was--- Standing there. Standing in an open mouth to some cavernous opening and looking up at her with that smile that normally made her knees weak.
Oh her knees were still weak, but from the scariness of the Kings suicidal tendencies and she almost started to scream at him. How did he expect her to do something like that! How would they even get back?
"Do you trust me? Just jump, I'll catch you, I promise!"
"U-uh... okay..."
Kura bit her bottom lip, peeking over the cliff and trying not to shake from the sight. She inhaled and exhaled before running her hand through her bangs.
'He is insane! And I'm insane..'
She jumped. The rush of air pulling at her. She wanted to scream out in fear but it caught in her throat. The only thing she could do was wait for that weight of her body stopping-- for him to catch her. "Perseus!"

He raised a brow, seeing the fear as she halted, and wondered if she was actually going to do it. He held his arms up high to brace her, watching as she finally leaped over the ledge, yelling his name as she sunk to his arms, and in a quick motion, he had caught her, his feet still firmly on the earth beneath him as she seemed to sink into his arms like a pillow. He smirked, looking at her for a moment with a small chuckle as he let a few fingers brush against where he had been holding her. [break][break] "I told you I'd catch you." [break][break] He set her down gently, taking her hand as he slowly led her through the cave, which grew darker and darker as the entry way became more distant. He continued walking in a silence, focusing on the direction as the opening became thinner, the walls almost touching them as it closed in on a sharp turn. "Don't ask me how I found this place, I had to get creative with exploring when I was a kid. Father never let me leave the castle, so...." he made sure to add as a glimmer in the distance became clear. "Get ready to be amazed though." [break][break] Another opening, which revealed a large cavity, giving a view of the waterfall that fell beside the palace that no other would see. The trees upon the mountaintops blowing in the wind, and the glow of pixies and fairies within the thickets, now that it had been nightfall. But the most peculiar and mesmerizing of all were the glowing crystals that were scattered across the aperture they had entered. Greens, blues, and purples, glowing as if from magic. "Fairy Crystals," he said quietly. "At some point in time, fairies used this area as a nest. It haven't seen any since I was a boy though." [break][break] He waited to give Kura time to take the area in, backing up against the wall of the cave as he crossed his arms, simpering at what her reaction may be. "Whenever my father and I would get into a fight... or if it was just a bad day and I needed to get away, I'd just come here."
She felt weightless in his arms; her eyes fluttering open to gaze upon his as she realized that he did actually catch her. She giggled in return, and smiled before nodding her head slightly in response,"Of course, I trusted you to."
He released her, and took her hand, so she was able to look at the cave which he eagerly wanted to lead her into. Normally she wouldn't be wearing a dress to go exploring, however given the lack of warning, she would just have to apologize to Garrett later for making him go through the effort of buying it. Yet that thought still didn't push away the guilt she felt when the caverns walls brushed against the fabric. "I understand, I really wasn't allowed to leave the castle as well... though my safe spot is not nearly as hidden..." she remarked, thinking back to the cubby in the servants headquarters that she used to hide in for hours at a time.
Then her eyes set upon one of the most beautiful sights she had seen in her entire life. A view of forest, the mountain, and the rushing waterfall -- whose clean scent lingered into her nose even now. Dancing lights dotted the horizon, flying through the air and Kura was silent with an awestruck expression. She turned to Perseus with the brightest smile, "It's all so beautiful!" she exclaimed, still embarrassed about her poor effort to match his hiding spot. "Mostly I just used mine as a way to hide from the servants that tried to make me do my studies."
She snickered and continued to smile, "Everything is just so beautiful. The city, the people -- this place. I don't ever want to leave," she hesitated,"but then I suppose that would leave my sister alone to face off against the Rogue Order." she commented softly, turning away to gaze at the scene around them.
"You know I cannot remember a time when I was truly happy, all I have are painful memories and nights filled with dread where I was too scared to even sleep," she said as the corners of her mouth lifted into a smile, "But tonight, I forgot all about that and for once in a long time I was happy. For that, I cannot thank you enough My King."
Letting her hands fold in front of her body, she sighed before blushing softly,"I suppose we should umm... -head back. I am sure Garrett's got to be having a heart attack. But I... I'd like to stay here a little big longer.. with you that is," she sputtered out, looking at her hands in her embarrassment. There was nothing more in the world she wanted, to be alone with Perseus, but damn if she knew what to say or do.
'I must look like an idiot!'
"I-I am sorry, of course it's whatever you want My Lord-uh King."

He shifted his weight, leaning upon the stone wall of the cave with crossed arms, cerulean eyes fixed upon the girl as she continued to talk of the beauty and he could see how truthfully happy she was, and he believed her. A smirk curled upon his lips - just the slightest one - as he continued to follow her with his eyes. [break][break] "Everything is just so beautiful. The city, the people -- this place. I don't ever want to leave," she had said. Perseus looked down for a moment, feeling as though hands were pulling on his lungs from within his chest, remembering that yes; she had to go back home to Hyrule. Even if it were dangerous. Even if she didn't want to. [break][break] The smile faltered for a moment, as he prepared himself for whatever would follow this conversation. Taking a moment to breathe, he closed his eyes, and then fixed them on her gaze. "Then don't." [break][break] Silence fell over them for a moment as he tried to find his words carefully. He wasn't very good at this, and he often became frustrated when he couldn't find the words to say. "I'm not... I'm not trying to show you around to persuade you to live here. I'm not trying to use you for some kind of political statement, or... or just because I'm bored. But if you don't want to leave... then don't." He stepped off the wall, taking a few steps forward her, apprehension sticking to his face like a veil. [break][break] "I've said it before, and I'll keep saying it until you believe me. But despite everything that's happened, and what people may say, I've only ever wanted you to be safe. Your sister is a dear friend to me and she'd be devastated if something happened to you. I'm sure she... wouldn't be opposed to you staying here for some time. And your retainers are welcome as well. But it'd be nice if, perhaps, at least for a little while..." [break][break] He paused again, this time taking as much time as he needed to in order to get the words out correctly. [break][break] "I know you can't do that though. Like your sister, you have drive to help stop this evil. But perhaps, If I may, when this is all over, would you like to return?" he asked carefully. "I understand that we both have prior engagements that follow. And I will never trap you here the way my father did. But maybe, when this is all over..." [break][break] He took another step to her, facing her with only a few inches separating them, as his hand rose to meet her face, his fingers tracing along the bone of her cheek. "I would like to properly court you. With your sister's blessing, I would be honored to treat you as my equal, and give you everything I possibly have to offer."
His touch was soft against her cheeks. Fingers gently grazing over her skin as she looked up at him, and her face flushing in embarrassment. He was so close, enough that she could just step forward and collide with him. Her eyes shimmered in the light reflected by the crystals, and for just a moment, -- she was speechless. There was alot that she wanted to say, but found herself unable to get past the lump that grew in her throat, and soon enough her eyes welled up and a tear streaked down her cheek.
Kura slowly closed her eyes and grinned, unable to understand why it was that she was crying. She was actually really happy! Her heart was going a mile a minute and she found it hard to settle herself while standing so close to him. So she responded with a nod and used the back of her palm to wipe her tears. "Perseus... that would make me very happy," she responded before a little sniff, "I promise. When all of this is over," she hesitated. Not knowing quite WHEN all of it would be over.
"When Zelda finds a way to rescue the Hero, as we can restore peace to Hyrule. I will come back.... and we --," she stopped, a bit nervous to say anything further. She looked away from Percy's eyes and shifted her weight a little in her uneasiness.
"I'm sure you know how I feel about you... I've never been very good at hiding things... Arty says I am a terrible liar." she said softly, hoping that he too felt the same and that he wasn't just doing it because she wanted it. Truly she aimed for his happiness as well, even if that was not with her. "Please tell me...," she spoke softly, clenching her fingers together in a small fist, "Does this mean you... u-um.. feel something for me?"
'This must be a dream... I must have fallen off the cliff and died.' She thought to herself.

He almost couldn't contain his excitement as he started to laugh, shaking his head in embarrassment, "Oh... Asthar was right... I'm horrible at reading into girls I guess..." he looked back at her with a smile, "I mean... I had hoped... but I wasn't sure--oh forget it," he shrugged, his hands immediately pulling her in and lifting her off her feet. [break][break] He twirled her around for a moment, still laughing lightly before looking up at her with an enormously bright smile. "Of-of course I do! Did you think that I didn't? I mean... I thought I might have made it obvious... I've always had eyes for you since we were younger... though I was pretty good at hiding it when my duties got in the way I suppose..." he took a moment to ponder on that last part, realizing that maybe that ability to hide it had just been ingrained into his personality, and he sighed. [break][break] Setting her back down on the ground, he sheepishly looked down and chuckled, shrugging for a moment. "I know this may be coming out of nowhere for you, but it's something that's been on my mind for a while," he looked passed her for a moment, into the opening the showed the world around them. The realization that she had said yes suddenly came to mind once more, and he started to laugh again, looking back to her and taking her hands tightly. [break][break] "There's no rush to plan anything now, but if you need anything, please let me know. You are always welcome here, no matter what the occasion or what risk you may assume you'd bring to my home." One of his hands slowly moved to her chin, lightly pushing it up so that her eyes would gaze upon his own. "May I kiss you?"
