Sweat rolled down his cheeks, the warmth of the slumbering mountain radiating closer then ever as he approached. Following the scent of his stolen partner through the crags and lost woods. What manner of beast had taken her from him. For it was just not the alluring aroma of the Rito he followed. An aged scent of blood and death dominant during his tracking.
Shattered crags presented a challenge to conquer first, for the passageway was beyond the broken earth. Guiding his steps with the flat end of his spear. Jumping from one exploded spire to the next until his feet landed upon the soft silts and debris. A dull glow of crimson beginning to illuminate the dark passage.
Coming upon the belly of the beast, a massive cavern carved from explosions and ancient beasts. Passages following low and high to stone doors. A bed of lava resting beyond the edges of many of the passages. Embers cascading through the swollen vents of heat around him. How he missed lost forest winds.

To the south the winds must have carried her, for to the north was the red spires of Death Mountain. Knowing its hardness and danger. A journey to the fringe of the forest brought him upon a cavern. Dangers lurked inside as he set off a flower into an explosion that nearly killed him. To think though such creatures with wings exsisted beyond small birds of prey.
" You must have flown from daybreak to reach the Lost Woods."
Knowing the great lengths the Rito had traveled to reach this portion of Hyrule. To believe that her origin was from the horizon was awe-inspiring. Though it reinforced his intentions of the bird resting in the care of the Deku. With a confident nod he welcomed her. Inquiry of his bedding came to question. Stumbling upon her words he answered.
" I need to protect the Deku Village from harm, nor can I risk you well-being. I will be guarding the forest in the twili. "
Beyond small traps and the embrace of the forest the Deku had little to defend themselves. With her broken wings he imagined the Rito had little to object with. At dawn when the forest would wake he would a small window to reach the Forest Temple to purify the corruption seeking the heart of the Lost Woods. It would be a trial of his courage and strength.
" After such a long journey you must be hungry though."
Changing the subject for less objections, grasping a carved bowl near his bedding. Within countless berries rich in flavor and color. Taking one to his lips he plucked the green stem with his teeth and tongue before offering the berry to the smol bird. Round and red the aroma of the fresh plucked treat wafted through the grotto. Tantalizing all senses with allure he extended his hand, the berry right before her lips.

Little chirps of information reached his ears, finishing what little he could do to aid Lukate. Thankful to her savior the bird smiled upon him. Warmth radiating from her expression, Tovandeln asked her next what one would expect a curious child to. Knowing that he must have been just as strange to her, speaking to the creatures of the forest in a forgotten tongue. Having never seen creatures beyond the lost woods.
" You are not a Hylian are you ?"
Meeting several humans and Hylians between the boundary of the forest and the fields of Hyrule. Wondering just what rested in the great beyond of the horizon. Knowing one day that he would journey beyond his home. Though leaving behind those who raised him was not such an easy feat for the forest dweller. Little conversation with others and even less with women brought forth his embarrassing comments with such bravado.
" You have a really pretty feathers."
Stalwart without a change of expression as he shared the truth. Playing with the lowered wingspan of the Rito for a brief moment before directing his focus upon the Deku. Many of them were shaking and clamoring about. Speaking of darkness corrupting the temple at the heart of the forest. It would explain the dark creatures being attracted to the lost woods.
" You should rest here for the night. You can sleep in my bedding until your wing heals."
The Deku slept beneath the soil beneath petals and wood. Offering the bedding that he had crafted from delicate herbs and belongings collected. Much like a nest crafted from a mother bird. Knowing that he would have little use for it in the coming nights. Protecting this haven from the Wolfos and reaching the Forest Temple would demand his attention.

Petite feet found the strength to support herself with his aid. Lifting up the small creature, collecting his weapon with a sleight of hand. Upon the distant horizon shadows danced, the howls of Wolfos approaching filled the quiet forest. Guiding the pair forward with all his effort. Bringing them through a labyrinth of hollowed trees and forgotten meadows.
Passing through a narrow passage between sharp branches and needles, nearly to large to fit between the defense as they made it beyond the barrier. A small village of the forest deku residing here as the small species peeked out from beyond their foraged homes. What stranger had Tovandeln brought to their small forest domain. Isolated from the world they did not have guests from beyond the lost woods.
" Do not be afraid, they are friendly. "
Deku scrubs approaching the duo, speaking in their native tongue. Tovandeln clicking in response to them before they scurried away. Fetching herbs for him, returning quickly as he took a better glance at the damage done to her wings. Having stopped the bleeding earlier the wounds needed to mend on their own. With the aid of medicinal herbs it wouldn't be long.
" Do you have a name little bird ?"
Tovandeln asked to distract her as he took grounded herbs and mixed it with flesh and blood. Applying it directly upon the source of her affliction. Wrapping the rest of her wing in cloth until there was nothing more he could do to help her. Eyes of crimson now focused on the expression and words of the bird. Being this close to her reminded him of the goddesses of legend. Such beauty radiating from the noble rito.

From absolute silence the lost woods drowned in sound, fibers of ancient bark snapping beneath the weight of that which did not belong. Tovandeln feet bound from roots to fell timber. Extending his hand, readying his spear as he heaved it forward. Splitting through the air straight towards the fallen invader. It would make its mark in a flash of light. Piercing through the wooden bark of the tree that broke the birbs fall.
Reaching the side of the fallen angel the guardian of the forest removed his spear from the sheathe of the earth. The forest deafening with noise as the birds sang, wind moving the top of the trees, branches crackling underfoot. Keeping the spear not far from him he turned his head to investigate the injured creature. The devastating fall had taken a toll on the Rito.
" Are you able to move ? "
Inquired the young man in the Hylian dialect, hoping the language would bridge the gap in communication. Never had he seen a human with wings nor such a wonderful color decorating her strands of hair. Kneeling beside the creature, investigating her damaged wings. Pulling the orange cloth from his armor and draping it around her injured appendages.
" You can't remain here."
Knowing his warning attack upon the tree would not keep the beasts away from the wounded prey. If she attempted to move the young man would use his shoulder and strength to support the Rito. Protecting the injured creature much like the Deku had saved him when his birth parents left them behind within these very woods. Never would he have seen the light of day without them. Now was his time to repay that kindness.

Slumbering pools of amber awoke from the dull warmth of the setting sun casted upon them. Sinking beneath the horizon the fleeting light would not bless the forest dweller much longer. Picking himself up from beneath the towering trees Tovadelen had been sleeping beneath. Silent the woods watched the young man rise to his feet. It was evident to him that something was amiss when he could not hear the songbirds last hymns of the day. Taking up his spear to brace himself for conflict.
Vanishing quickly into the entangling thickets and endless passages. Footsteps boundless as he navigated through the lost woods. From the boundary between Hyrule to the heart of the forest Tovadelen searched. Calling upon the forest spirits but even they would not answer the child of the forest. Tovadelen could hear his heart beat within his breast. Heavy breathes expelled with each huff of air. Exhausting himself in his search of the woods. Catching his breathe his thoughts raced.
In days of old the forest never fell silent, filled with deku, kokori and wild beasts. It was only within recent years that darkness began to spread throughout Hyrule. Reaching even the depths of the Lost Woods. Dark beasts and foul apparitions now preying upon those who dwell in the forest. Each day the domain of the lost woods was starting to diminish. It was taking all his effort to protect the woods. Willing to give the very life the forest saved all those years ago.

Some legends are told, Some turn to dust or to gold
tWENTY - SIX
An affectionate young man born of the forests, treating the creatures and beasts of the lost woods with care and concern. Knowing each plays a role in the world around him. Being especially fond of the Deku who saved him as a child. Perhaps it was that naivety that developed such a courageous young man. Having the strength to face pain or grief directly. Not being easily frightened in the face of danger. Loyal to those who raised him and the forest that has provided for him. Steadfast the bounty it has given him, never taking the world for granted. Merciful to those who wander into his forest. Guiding them away from the depths of the thickets and fields. Bringing them back to the forests edge. Though he knows little of the religions of the world, he is a very spiritual guardian. Believing in the spirits of the forest and respecting the graves and deaths of those around him.
Lacking the proper tact of a civilized Hylian, his words and actions are often very blunt. Being uncompromisingly forthright with his opinions and feelings. Which plays in hand with how daring he behaves. Wrestling with beasts in the lost woods, and jumping through the trees. Not knowing the meaning of fear has often gotten himself hurt. Being humble before the deku that raised him and accepted him as a child, and the forest that provides for him. An independent warrior of the forest, without his birth parents he depends on himself and what little the deku can provide for him. Instead he supports those who can not support themselves. Though it is that independence that has made him tough. Enduring what most would not go through in a life time thanks to his upbringing. Though he would not trade it for anything, know it has made him who he is today.
Exploring the Woods
Watching the Sun (rise/set)
Protecting the Forest
Helping the Deku
Fighting alongside the knights.
Reason being left behind
Harm coming to the forest.
Friends being hurt.
An orphaned child of Hyrule brought upon the hollows end of the lost woods. Cradled upon a basket of straw the child was left. Red eyes would gleam upon the lost child as they approached its cries. Though the light would cast aside the fear of dark and reveal the deku who approached the child. Taking it back into the enchanted woods behind them. Years would pass and the toddler developed. Growing taller then his parents as he learned of the world through these creatures eyes. Scavenging for food, chasing after animals, sleeping within trees. It wouldn't be until he was a young boy that he would meet with another like him.
Knights upon patrol would meet the child of the forest, with gestures between the two at first until words were learned and shared. Quickly learning the tongue of man the boy began to share his thoughts. Such decorative armor they wore, master-craft tools for the hunt. Just how big were they and would he ever reach their height. Adoring what he could learn from these mortal men as he returned to the warmth of the forest. Soon enough the young child of the forest was a young man reaching the knights shoulders. Becoming a beast of the wilds, with strength that could fell trees, smell that could track any scent and eyes keen enough for any thicket or field.
It was through his curiosity that he stumbled upon the ruins of a civilization that once was. There he discovered weapons and armor of old, protected within an age old chest. Taking his new found treasures before the knights they taught him how to properly equip and maintain such relics. Bonding with the men over the years, thought one day he learned that their post was no longer needed. They would no longer stand guard and keep him company. It would be a day he would never forget. Cherishing the memories and lessons taught the by the knights as he continued to live in the wilds of Hyrule.
Untamed emerald strands spike back and forth upon his head, a lighter layer resting atop a darker shaved portion. Following alongside his face to his amber eyes. Naive to the truths of this world. Standing six feet tall, with one inch, with a weight of two hundred and twenty pounds. A child that once chased around with Deku now towering through the forest with muscle.
Guardian Sword - An ancient relic weapon etched with markings from an era long past. The weapon boasts no magical affinity, however its craftsmanship is superb.

SOME SMALL WITTY SAYING OR QUOTE HERE, NOT TOO LONG
The heart destined to be king rested within his breast, one nurtured by the spirit of the desert. It was to be a gentle and kind heart that would share the warmth of the desert with the world. The one chosen by Majora to lead his beloved children. The god-king of the Gerduo was an indomitable will of the sands. Until his heart had its light stolen from it. A void that would devour him whole took him. What once was kindness was hatred, the gentle man cruel and hateful. Ruthless the king abandoned his kingdom in the dunes to sate his vengeful heart and drown the world in the darkness that blinded him from the light.
The man once liked and loved many things from the warmth of the sun to the precious smiles of his daughters. Without them the man has not found anything that showers the heart in warmth. What he may have loved and liked has gone.
Hatred swells in his heart, dislike being to weak to describe the feelings eating him alive. Hating those around him who Hylia blessed with protection and life. No father should have to bury his children.
Vengeance laced through his body and mind motivates him to keep breathing and walking. To drown the world in the darkness that swells in his heart.
This man has lost his beloved wife, and the children she gave to him. Without them he has nothing of value to loose. With that he nothing to fear.
A blessed child of Majora born from the womb of Gerudo chieftain, born with crimson hair and bright ruby red eyes. The blood of the desert embodied this child more than any other in the last one hundred years. Born a boy the child of the desert was destined to be king. Nurtured by the spirits and the women of the Gerudo Valley. The witch of the valley blessed him, prophesying the future where the children of the desert would be lead by his light. Such radiance and hope swelled within the young boys heart. Years would mature the young king, learning of the world around him and the plight of his kin. It was then he met the woman that would change the light around him. Untamed wildfire, she was his weakness.
Affection for the spitfire woman was no secret as the young conquering man would find himself always at her heels. It wasn't until she grew tired of him chasing that she gave the boy a chance. It would develop into a relationship that would bear fruit for the blessed son of Majora. Two beautiful daughters, twins said to be the sun and the moon of their society. Such a blessing from the heavens embolden the man. The merchants reach beyond their domain with his leadership. Strengthening their role in the world with his charisma and desire to change the world for his children. Watching his girls beneath his cape with their mother nearby was something he desired to protect forever with the people that supported him.
Though with his children still young, a darkness swept through the desert. With the torches lit low and many asleep death crept through the valley. What was meant to be a try on his life was thwarted. No dark magic would defeat him. When the assassins learned of such they preyed upon his blood. In an instant the king witnessed his beloved partner murdered before him with the shade retreating towards his daughters. Throwing himself upon his children to protect him, his armor was not enough to protect them from ethereal blades as his bloodline was erased from the desert. Heavy sobs and shouts erupted through the Valley as it awoke to their king before his family, a broken man.
Darkness seeped into his heart, brooding alone in the days that followed. Not allowing entrance to his chambers until the witch of the desert found him. Painted in blood of his beloved, sitting upon a damned throne. Begging the witch to use her magic to return them to him but he knew such a request was beyond her. Instead he let vengeance take him and demanded the source of the assassins. Using the witches magic he would be set upon the path of the darkness. Taking nothing but tarnished Gerudo armor and sword. The fallen king asked the witch to forget their king, for such a man to allow himself to be swallowed by the darkness was no king. Leaving the desert behind without turning back, the cycle of chiefs would continue.
A child of the desert the Gerudo king was blessed with a full length of red hair, flowing from his head to the back of his neck. A dominant beard following his chin with heavy eyebrows that expressed his heart. At the center of his head the man has two rubies for eyes with skin kissed by the desert sun. Darkened to endure the long summer days and the frigid nights of his birthplace. Chiseled the fallen king was the image of royalty in the desert.
Heavy shoulders follow his broad arms and muscles that lead to his coarse hands, worn from training with countless weapons and constant use. An oxen could be carried upon the might of this man. Leading to sculpted breasts and muscles that followed his chest. Larger than any hylian, rivaling the size of a Gorgon. Scars mark his entire chest, be it from his beloved fierce bite to blades he failed to dodge. Resistant to the desert heat and light abrasions his body has grown tough.
To carry him are two large legs, bound with every bit of strength as his arms. Capable of carrying him long distances and digging into the earth beneath him to hold his ground. With a matching appendage between [ ask his wife ]. Coming upon him compared to the common man is much like approaching a titan. Blessed with a dominating height and weight nearly all made of muscle. Very few can face him in open combat without expecting to be knocked on their ass.
