"What is he doing!?" Aryllia called out as the shards had fallen into the bandit's mouth. In a fit of rage, he had suddenly been warped by the power these fragments possessed. Asthar had moved back, and as such, she did the same, watching him carefully as he stood, shrieking with laughter as flames forced themselves toward her companion.
"No!" she howled out, watching as he was then engulfed by the fires. Before she could react, the same flames were hurled into her direction, but she had no time to react, the sheer gust of wind that surrounded them throwing her back against the wall. The flames followed, as she groaned, eyes widened as she crawled to the side as fast as humanly possible - narrowly escaping the blaze.
She huffed out a breath in exhaustion, blood rushing to her head as she looked to Asthar, whose cloak was ignited by the fire. "I... I have to..." she murmured in collapse, shutting her eyes as she then took a deep breath. "Sacred Resolute." Her eyes flashed open, light surrounding her as she slowly stood up, gripping her staff before standing her ground against the boss. "If you want to play with magic, then I will too," she smirked.
She dashed forward, bolting toward the boss as she swung her staff low at a shockingly fast speed, and before he would be able to turn to face her, she was at the other side of him, bracing her arm back as she then pummeled her fist into his face, sending him crashing into the wall with intense capacity. "If you hurt him again, I will kill you." she growled.

When the two had stepped inside of the boss's chambers, Aryllia narrowed her eyes, the smell of smoke filling her senses. This man must have been a fan of a particularly bitter pipeweed. The man was large, hulking, while staring at a large picture on the wall before speaking. He had exchanged a few words with Asthar, now looking rather annoyed. She rolled her eyes at his words of them being 'scrawny', mumbling under her breath, "At least we're able to run..."
He spoke of Eleazar, and she groaned, hearing his name. That boy was lucky, taking advantage of the leftovers from war, and he spoke of rising to power just as he did. He talked of executing the King of Holodrum, and she blinked for a moment, chuckling under her breath. It'd been a while since she heard about him. She used to be an insufferable fangirl, but, alas, he was a flirt, and way out of her league. It was a shame that she was as grumpy as she was when she finally got the chance to meet him. "Has he even been doing anything?" she frowned. "I haven't heard about the King since the war. After Hyrule fell, he dipped back into his castle and stayed out of the affairs. Then nothing..." it was more her talking to herself than anyone, as the conversation persisted between her comrade and the bandit.
And then suddenly, without much hesitation, Asthar had her brace herself has he rushed in to battle the man. "Holy--" she stopped herself, half expecting him to move in after she did, but he was quick to react. She followed behind him quickly, circling around to his back side so that she could hit him from outside his peripheral vision, but he had moved out of the way rather quickly. "You know, for a big dude, he's not as slow as I expected," she spoke in surprise. Still, she stalked his movements and followed him, wondering if perhaps she should ditch the staff and bring out the bow. But if the two of them faced him from each side, he would get cornered and have no options left. So she persisted, heading in opposite directions Asthar did as to keep him from getting too far.
"Heads up!" she yelled to Asthar as her staff swung high to knock the boss in the head. Just as he had attempted to brace himself, ducking, she took her other hand to jab his pressure points, temporarily causing his muscle to seize in his arm. With that, her staff then swung around his lower back, causing him to fall forward. "You're not quite as tough as you make yourself out to be, are you..?"

Aryllia nodded to Asthar's response, slightly relieved that he had the same ideas in mind. When he had opened the door and rushed out from the room, she followed behind closely, only to see that the Alchemists were more so confused and frightened than happy to see them. Asthar then approached, asking if she would be able to convince them and... complimenting her? "W-wait what?" she paused for a moment. "Uh, I'm not that..." she stopped herself and sighed. She was rather insecure of her appearance, truth be told.
Something about him was so familiar to her though, and she still couldn't put her finger on it. Though she had a distaste for Sheikah from her recent exposure to them, she couldn't help, but wonder who this man truly was. She almost got lost in her thoughts before snapping back, nodding and walking over to the alchemists. "I know this is sudden, but we're trying to stop what these bandits are doing. We're going to save you and your families. Do you know where they are located? Once we take down the boss, we need your help to safely escape this place."
One of the Alchemists had nodded in silence, to which Aryllia smiled, giving a thumbs up. "Awesome. Stay put and we will be back for you, okay?" She turned around to Asthar once more and smirked, walking past him. "So I assume he's somewhere down this hall," she mused for a moment, putting her hand to her chin as she pondered. Truthfully, she had no idea what they would be up against. Who knew how strong this guy was, especially if he had a whole operation invested within the black market. Sure, the other bandits were inexperienced and easily incapacitated, but someone running a cartel at this scale had to have some kind of knowledge of keeping others under him and scaring people off.
"So... you ready?" she asked before striding off into the dimly lit hall. Doors on each side had been closed shut, but with window holes that showed a source of light from within, and rows of beds. It was most likely where many of the guards would sleep. At the end of the hall was a large, metal door with golden rims. This had to be where he stayed. Stopping just before the door, she slowly put her hand to the handle and looked at Asthar before nodding. This would be their true test.

Aryllia stiffened a bit as Asthar had grabbed her shoulders, but was immediately involved with the conversation taking place outside the door. An old man, begging for news of his family, and suddenly her heart dropped. He was a prisoner here, and his family was being kept somewhere as well, likely being used for labor or trapped in a cell. She related to this all too well, and she would have hoped that someone who was breaching Phenex would do the same courtesy for her as to help her and the others escape.
Asthar spoke of the rumors that buzzed in Holodrum, and it made sense. She heard about these counterfeit shards, when Phenex had sent her up to retrieve them, and she stole an entire jar full, only to find that they lacked the magical essence of the relic itself. Sure they were enchanted with something, but it was merely for the cosmetic aura. His shoulders released from her, but her palm on his chest had tightened into a fist, lightly gripping the cloth of his shirt as her voice hitched up, empathy breaking her natural low tone.
"We... we need to help them," she murmured. "We can't let these people live like slaves. We have to save them, even if it means killing the bandits," she said with hesitation. Death was only necessary if it meant saving the innocent. She had to remind herself that. It's what she always told herself, just as her brother had died. His death saved everyone. "We save the family, take the loot, and we go. If we don't kill anyone, we at least blow the place up. Do something, so they can't keep bringing innocent families here to do their slave labor."
She looked at him, for the first time in years, innocence painted on her face like a mask. At this point, the treasure didn't matter. As long as the alchemist and his family got out safe, and the place was destroyed, or the boss eliminated.

"W-wait! Don't be ridiculous!" Aryllia interjected at Asthar's plan. Things seemed to be falling apart rather quickly for the duo as alarms sounded and men began scouring the entire base for the intruders. She looked around quickly, trying to think on her feet, looking back to Asthar. "I'm not leaving without you." Whether this plan would work or not, Aryllia was severely against leaving anyone behind.
The sounds of footsteps drew nearer, and she continued to pace, thinking for a long moment before sighing. No matter how they went about this, she would be seen. There was no denying that. She looked back at Asthar, who seemed to be gearing for his plan, and she groaned, grabbing his wrist quickly and sprinting across the hall. "Just follow me, and leave the map out - we need to get to the areas that aren't used."
She kept her grip with him, running quickly as they made for a fork in the entryway, her feet almost skidding across the stone floors as they came to a halting stop, deciding which way to go. She glanced at the map, before heading off in a direction, making for a door that looked rusted shut. Using her strength of her leg, she kicked the door in, but as soon as they made way, the floor had broken beneath them, causing them to tumble into what appeared to be a storage room. A very dusty one.
"What was that?" she heard someone say from some ways away outside of the nook they were within. The room was small, pitch black, with the exception of the light peaking out from the keyhole. Aryllia had fallen on top of Asthar, but there wasn't much room for them to move around. They were so close, she could feel his breath on her, but she tried to ignore it as her eyes fixated on the keyhole, trying to see what was happening on the other side.
A man was looking around the room, almost oblivious to the fact that they were behind the door. One hand was rested on his chest to hold him still, while the other was against her ear, cupping it to better listen to what was going on. "I... I think we're in the basement," she murmured.

After they had taken out the remainder of bandits, Asthar had spoken to her, seeming rather excited by her skill. She blinked a few times, never really having someone compliment her strength with such admiration before - and quite honestly - she didn't really know how to take it. She wasn't really the best at receiving compliments, because she didn't know how to respond. She looked down with a small laugh, a bit of a fluster coming to her face as she cleared her throat to listen to the rest of his plan. And at first it sounded absolutely stupid - but then he agreed that it was a bad idea, to which she sighed in relief. His next plan however was much better. Just what was he getting out of this though?
They made their way back through the door of the balcony, and it was oddly quiet. Thankfully the damage they dealt outside had no interference for what was going on within, which meant that there was no suspicion of them even entering. Before Aryllia could make a move though, she spotted another bandit, to which Asthar went to take care of quickly. He wasn't that bad of a fighter himself - he had the sneak of a sheikah, so eat least he used that to his advantage.
They reached a fork in the hall, to which Asthar suggested splitting up. Usually that was a bad idea, but she knew she could handle her own, and if he was the one who wanted this done in the first place, who was she to interject? He was paying her, so his word went. She nodded at his response and immediately took to the hall she was directed to go down. "If it doesn't meet back up in the middle, I'll come back when I've cleared this side," she said to him quietly as she continued to walk.
Most of this hallway looked to be unused, but that could have just been how old this place really was. And if they really didn't use any of this area, there could be treasures left behind. She looked to the first door, which seemed to be rather dusty, appearing unused for some time. When she opened it, it shook, and was almost hard to push, but what she found was nothing. It was dark, but empty. She sighed, going to her next location.
Each room seemed to prove to be useless, however when she had finally reached the end of the hall, it led to a door that was slightly closed, a light emitting from it faintly.
"Hmm," she hummed to herself as she slowly edged herself to the wall to listen better. It sounded as though there were two people inside talking, and she could see a table by a fireplace from her view. Perhaps it was a bunk room? There wasn't going to be an easy way to sneak inside though. The doors were loud and you couldn't get through them easily. So she'd just have to surprise them both and fight two at once.
She counted in her head, trying to come up with a good plan, but before she could begin, she heard the shuffle of feet coming toward the door, hearing one of them talk of changing shifts. She immediately wove to the other side of the door, where it would block her from his view as he opened it, and as he passed, she then approached, placing both of her hands on his neck and turning them abruptly. She didn't break his neck - but he would be out for a while.
Now the next person. With the door still open, she peaked inside to notice that he was now sitting at a table, facing the fire. Good. She approached slowly, walking up as she went to place both of her hands on their neck, but he suddenly spoke.
"Haven't left yet? I'll be out there soon," he responded. Did... he think that she was the other guard. She narrowed her eyes, rolling them before snapping his joint as well, knocking him out cold. Scouring the room, she looked for anything that might be valuable, but all she could find was loose rupees and some clothes. Nothing that caught her eyes. Approaching the next closed door, it entered another hallway - the one that Asthar had went down. She looked around carefully to see if he was in view.

As Asthar had moved forward to begin their plan, she watched him carefully as he began to circle the area. Aryllia then hopped up into the trees, climbing to the tallest branch while still remaining out of site. She narrowed her eyes, keeping her focus on the archers who were now in a puzzled search for where the noise had been coming from. She smirked lightly, her hand moving to the back of her holster, which kept her staff secured. Nodding as they seemed distracted enough, she hopped from tree to tree, circling the perimeter until she had been just above their alcove. They seemed to move around, leaning over their fencing to look around for the shuffling, when one of them had suddenly caught her attention. He appeared to have a horn of sorts - one to alert other bandits of enemies.
This won't do. she thought to herself with a sigh. Hopping down from the branch as quietly as possible, she slowly got herself up, removing her staff from behind her as she then dug her elbow into the crook of the archers neck. With her other hand holding the staff, she moved it upward, the base of it slamming against his head as he slid across the floor, knocked out cold. Turning to the other archer, who had now been aware of her presence, she narrowed her eyes. "Don't worry. I'm not gonna kill you, I'm just following orders." she shrugged as she slowly walked up to them. These were definitely not the most seasoned in battle. His knees were quivering as he had clumsily tried to straighten his bow, but before he could even pull arrows from his quiver, Aryllia's staff had met with his head, slamming him into the wall. Unconscious, he then slid to the floor.
At least that was taken care of. And it was quiet enough to where other bandits hadn't seemed to notice. For the time being, from the looks of her damage, these two would be knocked out for quite a while - at least a few hours. This would give them the time they needed to raid the place, since it didn't seem to be that large of an area. She hopped down from the balcony to the entrance, which had been closed shut, appearing to be chained from the inside for security. Whether Asthar would want to try to find a way in, or sneak in through the balcony, she wasn't sure. She looked around for a moment as to see where he had gone.
Closing her eyes, she took a good look at the base. It appeared to once have been a monster's lair, from ages ago before their time. It was old, but still functional. This would mean that many of the traps in it may be a bit tricky if they didn't know what to expect. She had been in a monster's base before with others, but many of them were in ruins, or lacked the traps that this one appeared to be capable of having. At the very least though, this place was old enough to be able to fool or break certain areas or doors. Breaking in through the front door wouldn't be too much of a hassle, however it would create a conflict with the bandits and surely they'd be outnumbered. Their best bet was to try and go through the balcony. But this was his fun after all.
"It's up to you. Enter quietly through the balcony, or try to ram through this door? The archers should be knocked out long enough to make it in and out with the treasure," she explained. She was, quite frankly, a little nervous for his response. While he was simply going about this for the thrill, their lives were on the line. Sure, the archers were pretty novice, but who knew what kind of people would be inside? If they slipped up even slightly, or even became too distracted and got caught by some kind of trap, they'd be in for some serious trouble that could cost them their lives. Still, by the looks of his evasion and distraction, he was fast, and capable of handling himself. He was just one of those people who got off from the thrill of danger, she supposed.

PUT A SWORD TO MY HEART
AND WATCH ME LIVE
The stoic expression upon Aryllia's face faltered into a bit of confusion as she heard him speak. He most definitely did not sound how she had imagined upon confronting him, and she tried to place where she had heard that voice before. There was something strangely familiar about it, though perhaps it may have just been a common vocal inflection... though it was quite extravagant. Considerably more so than most.
She looked down, pursing her lips for a moment as she nodded to his words. Her head had immediately popped back up though as he called her "Aryll". Narrowing her eyes, she tilted her head to the side in curiosity. Not many considered to call her that... especially that of strangers. "I'm sorry, have we met before?" she asked quickly.
He quickly changed the subject to that of an idea of what their plan of action was. Assessing the information given, she nodded when he spoke of the different positions, possible loot, and where they should start. Her eyes flashed over the archers in the distance to which she hummed in agreement. They could prove to be a problem if they were not taken out first. Thankfully for her, she knew a way to get around them swiftly without notice.
As the cloaked Sheikah then made note of her outfit, making the assumption that she was quick on her feet, she raised a brow. "How observational of you," she laughed sarcastically. But just as she had finished her words, he then complimented it, and she coughed, her eyes widening as she looked over at him with a glare.
"Okay, listen buddy, I know that this is all fun and games to you, but try anything and your head will be on a spic like the wonderful display the bandits have over there," she growled. "I don't take kindly to lustful flattery. Hands off and we'll be fine."
She crouched down against the shrubberies that divided the two from the clearing where the base was, and she looked over the area cautiously. "I'm surprised a Sheikah even needs help with something like this. Aren't you guys supposed to be the masters of shadow and stealth?"
The two archers were located at a barrack of sorts, which was elevated from the ground level where they could look over the entire area. Thankfully, the clearing seemed to be circular in shape, as well as surrounded by a thick wooded grove. If she circled around the area, she could confuse them with the noise made and sneak up from behind.
"I need you to circle the area," she started. "The brawlers and short ranged fighters won't be able to hear it from the inside, but the archers are listening for anything suspicious. If you can rustle some branches and make some kind of noise, it'll gather their attention. Just make sure you aren't seen."
She narrowed her eyes taking a look at the bows that they had. "Yeah. Definitely make sure you aren't seen. They've got some pretty accurate equipment. I'll sneak around while you distract them and get them from behind... but you never answered me. Do you want casualties? I don't kill if I don't have to. But if I'm hired to do so then I will."
Her staff wasn't anything special. It was sturdy though, made from one of the branches of the Great Deku Tree himself. It wasn't magical or anything out of the ordinary, but it was as though an extension of her own ability. Hit someone with it hard enough, and they'll surely be knocked cold. Hit them with it again and you might seriously injure, or even kill them. The point of the weapon though, was strictly to avoid senseless killing though. Only when necessary.
Aryllia herself wasn't a huge fan of taking the lives of others. Unless it proved to be seriously life threatening, she would avoid it at all costs. Perhaps it was just something that was passed onto her from being raised in a family of knights, but mercy was apart of her code of honor. This was his mission though. She was only hired to come along. She'd do whatever she had to do if it meant getting paid accordingly.

PUT A SWORD TO MY HEART
AND WATCH ME LIVE
Aryllia stood in the shade of the wooded region, matching the coordinates with where she was said to meet up with this "treasure hunter". It was such a strange way to be recruited. For one, is was rather unconventional for the person who requested her assistance to not be the one to meet with her. Sending one of their men to pay up front and to simply ask of their presence in a location at a certain time was not something she had often dealt with. She couldn't say she was too offset from it though - they did pay her.
She waited in the trees, sitting upon a branch which was just out of site of the bandit's cove where this said treasure lay hidden. She wondered herself whom it was that had hired her, and how they had heard of her. They went through a great deal to track her down and ask for her assistance personally. She may have made a name for herself these days, but... that was for other reasons.
She wondered if they were associated with the Phoenix Company - a group of rogue sheikah who turned from the queen when Hyrule fell, being loyal to that whom they feel will benefit their survival - and at the moment... that was the guild taking hold of Hyrule Castle. Soon after the fall of the kingdom, Aryllia had started turning a profit within the city by conventional means; bounty hunting, treasure hunting, even just giving information on certain guilds. She was considered the informational hub since everyone knew who she was.
This attracted a lot of attention from the wrong people though, and in a contract gone wrong, she was ambushed, held hostage, and sold into a slave trade for guilds. She was now bound to the Phoenix Company, and any contracts she signed with, 75% of her profit would have to go to them. It didn't start out that way either; at first she was simply a toy for them to throw around, a pretty face to take advantage of, and once she began to work for them, all profit went toward their vault. It was only after some time of gaining their trust did she finally begin to pocket some of the rupees.
From the means of recruitment though, perhaps they didn't know of the Phoenix Company. Which meant that possibly--hopefully--she would be able to keep what was given to her for herself. The Goddesses knew she needed it. She was running low on supplies.
In the distance on a ragged path, a shadowed figure came into view, wearing a yellow cloak that shaded his face, but one thing stuck out that she could not ignore--those red eyes. She cursed under her breath as her heart began to pound. It was a Sheikah, which very well meant that they possibly were with the guild. She recollected her composure as he stood at the foot of the clearing just outside of the base, and she hopped down from the tree behind him.
"I believe I'm the one you requested to assist you," she spoke coolly, a hand rested on her hip while the other clutched a wooden staff that was grounded to the side of her. She noted that this wasn't the man that had asked this task of her, and also that he was alone. She was actually surprised that she was simply tagging along. Usually the way these things went, she would just go alone and do the dirty work for them.
Was this a test from the Company? She surely hoped not. But with the shadow that covered the man's face, she couldn't get a good look at him. Possibly a new recruit, but he didn't seem like any of the others within that guild. While it was a larger group, she had met most, if not all of the sheikah involved. They usually didn't send their newer people off to fetch treasure from a group of bandits though. That was a more adept task.
"I suppose you're going in as well then? Since I'm the one accompanying you, I would like to know what it is that you have planned. Any methods of attack? Do we sneak in, attack, and do you want casualties?" These were questions she would need answers to. While some of her employers did not care what means were taken to retrieve said treasure--or person--others did not want any lives to be taken.

PUT A SWORD TO MY HEART
AND WATCH ME LIVE
Aryllia had held the bandit in question with her foot, narrowing her eyes in curiosity as she looked over the bandit. He seemed to look over to several of his brethren who were all but able to even fight for themselves at this point. It seemed that Marik had been able to take care of them properly, without having to go to extremes of killing or seriously injuring them.
As Aryllia had looked over the fallen bandits, she took a deep breath before pressing her foot further into the head of the chief bandity. "Why are you here? What exactly was your plan here?" she snapped, commanding him to speak back. He growled in pain as he took a deep breath, clenching his fists, attempting to move, but the foot was pressed too far - causing a bit of fear that she would try to hurt him if he tried anything too drastic.
He didn't speak right away, but Aryllia pressed harder against his head as he writhed in pain, clenching his fists before finally giving in - "I was sent by Renar!" Aryllia immediately was taken aback, the pressure left by her foot lifted a bit as her eyes widened, her lip quivering slightly in fear.
Why was he trying to send this kind of message? She told him that she would take a while to get back to him. She tried her best to hide her concern as the bandit had said his name, but to no avail. She took a deep breath, pressing her lips together lightly as she closed her eyes, trying to think of a plausible response. What could she possibly say to something like that though without sounding too suspicious?
"I see," she murmured quietly. "I realize he has his... quarrels with me... but I told him I would return to the city as soon as I can. I understand he is waiting, but he knows that my time between the city and where I generally reside is spaced," she explained.
She didn't want Marik to get involved in all of this. And she had hoped the two of them would separate before she would have to involve herself with a such a repulsive guild, but it seemed that it was inevitable that the secret would come out. She sighed in annoyance as she slowly lifted her foot up from his head, lifting him from the scruff of his shirt and pulling him forward to stand him up.
"If you try ANYTHING, you will regret it. I simply have a few more questions before you're let off easily," She explained. The man nodded uneasily as she looked over him carefully. She thought over her words carefully as she attempted to play off as coolly as possible. She didn't want Marik to see her uneasiness on the situation.
Truthfully, she was terrified of this guild. Ever since her first encounter, it was clear that they overpowered her easily, and they knew of her secret - that she was the Sage of Light and that the failed hero was her brother - something she wanted to keep hidden for a very long time, until it was but a distant memory and she wouldn't be judged for his failures.
"Is he angry? What exactly does he want?' she asked as calmly as possible. The man cleared his throat uneasily as he looked down, clearly intimidated by the force that her and Marik had brought upon the table. "He is just a bit impatient. He felt you shouldn't have taken as long as you did to get back to him, especially with the task he has requested upon you. Do you have any leads regarding to what he has asked of you?"
Aryllia sighed, looking away as she then turned to Marik to see if he had been listening or not. She didn't want to get her business involved with him, and she surely wished that he wouldn't ask about it later, but she digressed, turning back to the bandit as she shrugged. "I've investigated it, but not much. I told him I would know when I know. If he has any questions, he can ask me personally, rather than sending his grunts to come after me. I'm on my way to the city, so I would make it a point to drop in and update him on my position," she said with an annoyed tone.
"U-understood," he looked away uneasily. She nodded, pushing him back as he stumbled onto the ground. She turned back to Marik. "So what do we do with him?" she asked in a coy tone.

PUT A SWORD TO MY HEART
AND WATCH ME LIVE
There was a moment of silence exchanged among the bandits, Marik, and Aryllia as they all stood in a standoff for the time being, but before Aryllia could even react, her face turned slightly in Marik's direction, only to see him bolting forward in a blur of time, suddenly in front of her and making a move on the horseback invader. With eyes wide and a slight gasp released from her lips, her hand was then grasped by her companion as she was then pulled back to where Marik had originally stood.
What kind of magic was that..? she asked herself, still staring in disbelief in what she had seen. He now stood in front of her, commanding for the bandits to get through him before trying to touch her, to which she narrowed her eyes to see the bandit's reaction. Surely she could take care of herself. While they were certainly outnumbered, she knew her way with a weapon.
She studied the bandits carefully - one with a bow, two with swords, another with a pair of brass gauntlets, and the one on the horse seemed to have a club of some sort. That was good - their weapons did not seem to have magic. At best, their abilities were simply to cloak themselves from being found, or their magic rested in their movement. Still, she couldn't be sure. Their auras gave off a sense of darkness, meaning that most of their magic had been of the shadow. They were not Triforce Holders though - she could sense that much. Their magic came naturally to them, to which she assumed that they were rogue Sheikah.
The bandit on horseback cluctched his wound, growling as he looked to his men to engage as he fell back slightly. "Kill them and take everything they have." he demanded.
"Oh, hell no," Aryllia growled. "Resolute Wind!"she exclaimed as she shot forward, passing Marik as she flipped her staff in front of her. Swinging out, she knocked one of the bandits in the head as he fell backwards, and she turned herself around, facing several others. "Come at me. I dare you."
She then sprinted past the others, twirling around the forest as to gain their attention while Marik could provide with a blow toward one of them. Her attacks, at best, would be non lethal, unless she smashed someone's head in, but killing was not really her thing - she tended to maim to get a message across. She stopped in her tracks as to gain the gazes of the outlaws as she then watched Marik.
"I can keep them busy if you want to take care of them. This staff isn't going to do much of anything aside from give them a headache," she called out to him. The man with the club swung at her then as she ducked down, her leg kicking up into the air and rotating over his neck, sending him down onto the ground as she pressed her foot into his back, her staff then swinging into the stomach of the man with the bow.
Now two of them were on the ground. But they wouldn't be for long if they caught their breath and recollected themselves. Aryllia wiped the bit of sweat off her brow as she took off once more, stepping and weaving around the trees to keep them distracted, and she noticed that the man on horse was suddenly attempting to escape.
"What's wrong, did you underestimate our abilities?" Aryllia smirked as she bolted toward him, jumping forward as she threw her staff into the air as it landed into the base of the bandit's head. He let out a cry in pain as he fell to the side, curling in pain as he was forcefully removed from the horse. Aryllia then approached, grabbing her staff once more as she held it to his head. "Now what do we do with you?"
She looked back to see what Marik might have been up to, seeing as the bandits were now very cautious and aware of their skill in combat. She looked back down at the bandit before her, narrowing her eyes as she then spoke. "So who sent you? Or did you come up with this bright idea all on your own? You have no idea who I am, do you?"

PUT A SWORD TO MY HEART
AND WATCH ME LIVE
The morning sun warmed her bare skin as she continued to walk, and as the minutes passed, she could recognize the area a bit more clearly. They were much closer to the clearing into the Hyrule Field than she first thought, although time seemed to pass much faster when your mind wandered and you zoned from the world for a bit.
She honestly didn't really know what to say to Marik. The two of them didn't exactly know each other, and Aryllia was not one for starting small talk or making conversation. It was a very uncomfortable situation for her - although had you tried talking to her four years prior, she would have never shut up.
Being a barmaid, it was her job to make everyone feel welcome and to relate to her, and she did just that. She was a people person - someone that was easily trusted and easily to talk to. Because of this, she had an easy understanding of reading the emotions on someone's face.
But not Marik's. There was something strange about him - not just the emotions he portrayed, but the aura he gave off. It was so off putting that even the morning after, she could still feel its displacement. There was just something that was incredibly unwelcoming about his spirit, and for that, she couldn't wait to get to Hyrule sooner. Once he found "whatever he was looking for", they could go their separate ways and she could focus on meeting with the guild.
"We should be approaching Hyrule Field in about an hour or so. Once we reach the end of forest, we'll be able to take the main road toward Castle Town," Aryllia called back, but she immediately stopped, freezing in her position as she immediately whipped her arm out toward Marik to stop him in his tracks--her other arm cradling her staff as her fingers pressed against her lips to signal silence.
There was a sudden shift in the air, a russel in the bushes, and a somewhat offsetting vibe to the forest around them suddenly. If you listened carefully enough to the forest, it would tell you how it was feeling, and sometimes, if there were strangers that were not kind to it, it would speak in the way of danger.
"We have company," Aryllia murmured toward Marik. "Arm yourself."
Aryllia began to step forward quietly and very slowly, looking around as not to attract attention. Her eyes darted from each side of her peripheral vision, keeping tabs on every corner of the forest around her as she gripped her staff tightly, ready for defense.
She wasn't quite sure what to expect - sometimes it was just a wild monster that wandered too far through the forest, other times it was a couple of adventurers who didn't know where they were going. But once in a while, she would run into a couple of bandits, ones that particularly liked to victimize any travelers who were lost or defenseless for traveling a bit too deep into the Lost Woods.
She hummed to herself very quietly, focusing her energy to try and pinpoint where these strangers may be, but they were very well hidden. Not a single crunching leaf from a misplaced footstep, not even snapping branch or a shaken bush. This is what alarmed her the most - they were skilled in the art of stealth, meaning that this wasn't your average intruder.
"They seem to be watching very close--" WHIP!
Aryllia's eyes widened as she suddenly ducked, pressing herself against the ground as an arrow immediately made over her head, narrowly missing her as it immediately plucked into a tree along her backside. "MOVE." she shouted as she immediately stepped up and sprinted forward, but was immediately met with a man on a horse who jumped out in front of her.
"Well, well, look at this cute one. She's quick on her feet, eh?" he laughed as several other men slowly surrounded them, some on foot, others also horseback. They were all large, burly men with weapons of all kinds, some snickering as they approached the two.
Aryllia took a deep breath, sighing as she looked over to Marik. "Stealth magic. Of course."
