PUT A SWORD TO MY HEART
AND WATCH ME LIVE
Aryllia's brows furrowed as she turned onto her side, her eyes tightening as she rubbed her face slowly, her blurred vision coming to focus as she looked around her hut slowly. The spot where Marik had been resting was vacant, so she quickly rose, running her hand through her hair as she yawned, stretching a bit before getting up.
Brushing her hair with the comb on her table, she set it down and slowly exited the hut, looking around to see if Marik was still in sight. Where could he have gone? Had she really been asleep for that long? It didn't look too late, and he had said he wanted to travel with her. She sighed, shaking her head as she slipped on her boots, grabbing her staff and cloak and headed out toward the clearing.
As she continued to walk, she noticed a silhouette in the distance, narrowing her eyes and wondered if it was Marik or not. If it wasn't... then this would be interesting. She walked slowly as they started to come into view, her hand gripping her staff tightly as she took a deep breath, but as she got a closer look... she noticed the fairy again.
It's just him... thankfully. She continued to walk, approaching him slowly as she stood next to him and looked over at him with a slow gaze before turning to view the horizon.
"We should arrive to Hyrule by sunset if we leave within the next hour. We shouldn't run into any bandits or strangers along the way, but I assume you are prepared in case?" she inquired before taking a step forward. "I have some food in my bag for when you get hungry. Just let me know and I'll get it.
She truly wasn't looking forward to going back to Hyrule. She knew all it would do... well, she was going to get forced into something she didn't want. Argus was getting impatient with her, and if she continued to stall him from what he promised her, it would not end well for her.
Despite the aura she gave off, she wasn't quite as carefree and independent as many thought - she was simply a pawn for a much more powerful guild - one that refused to release her contract until she was either dead or no longer useful.
It was about that time again for her to check up on them and find out just what it was that hey wanted from her, since she had been away for quite longer than usual.
She sighed, looking down, trying to hide her troubles from her face as she continued to stride past Marik, walking along the path slowly. She looked into her sachel, pulling out her map, which was marked with ink all over the Lost Woods, where she had traced out several paths that she had made in her experiences to navigate the forest in the past.
Looking over it carefully, she traced over one of the paths with her finger to find the quickest way out of the woods so that they would travel through the plains.
"If we travel northwest, we'll reach a clearing where we can exit the forest and reach a main road to head toward the castle," she nodded as she put her hands to her side, striding along. The sun peaked through the trees, warming her skin as she listened to the noises around her, closing her eyes and taking it in. It was the bit of untouched land that no evil dared to invade, as the forest was no friend to a stranger.
She was actually quite relieved that no one had approached her camp before they had left - While she did live alone and did not like the company of others these days, the Heroes of Hyrule had known where her camp was. She was visited from time to time by the Queen, as well as several others, just to see how she was doing, since she would occasionally go to the Temple of Time, just to check on the status of the Master Sword.
Ever since Link had been imprisoned, the blade glowed, indicating that he was no longer in this realm, but the hero was there to take it in arms. If it were to ever stop glowing, it would mean that the cycle was reset, and it was time to lay dormant until a new hero was born.
While she was sure that there would be no hope for rescuing her brother, it brought her a bit of comfort to know that he was still alive, but her visits became less frequent due to the state that Zelda was in. She could barely look her in the eyes, seeing the desperation and guilt that was across her face. It became uncomfortable and she wasn't quite sure how to comfort her. Still, as one of the few people who understood her pain, she felt guilty herself, to not be able to comfort her friend when she was hurting.

Hearing Marik speak of the hero with such contention in his voice made Aryllia's throat tighten in anxiety. She wasn't exactly sure why these words affected her so resolutely, but in a way, she felt that she had to endure the harshness of others in Link's stead while he suffered on a plain no other would understand. For the the rest of eternity. The hero's line was surely destroyed, and while it may have seemed like a punishment for the golden trio alone, The Goddesses truly doomed the entirety of the world. [break] [break]The hero - one forged by the Triforce itself, created in power, by the prayers of others, a being that was born of strength and courage to protect the world from the destruction of evil. He who had an unbreakable spirit, and an unnatural strength and ambition in accordance to other humans - only he was able, with the might of others, to stand in the way of evil. The Goddesses punished him for being unable to defeat the evil - one that was never meant to escape in the first place. [break] [break]Now that the hero is eternally sealed, the hero can no longer be reborn in Hyrule's time of need. Truly all would suffer for it. There have been stories of men who died in the flames of demons as they tried to fight when the hero would not appear. Only when he finally did, had true peace reigned over the land. Her brother had failed, and now humanity would, too. Maybe not in her lifetime, maybe not in her childrens', but in the inevitable future, a darkness would come, and the hero will not. [break] [break]She found it rather hard to respond to Marik's stance. She avoided his eyes a she felt her body clench in discomfort, staring into the flames as she thought over his words, processing them slowly. "He still fought for us. That has to mean something. And while maybe he didn't win, he did the last possible thing he could before his death. No one could have expected this kind of outcome because of it." she murmured softly, almost as if talking to herself. [break] [break]"I have a theory for the chaos that has taken hold of this land. The Triforce was a sort of beacon of hope to the people of Hyrule. A relic that gave those who touched it whatever they desired. Hidden from the public, it was only ever dreamed of, used as a hope, bringing comfort to the land in times of peril. When the hero had used his piece of the Triforce as a prayer, and the Goddesses appeared, they shattered it. They trapped Seith, and also imprisoned Link. In a sense... destroying all hope for the rest of the world." she explained. [break] [break]"By ending the cycle of the hero, as well as shattering the Triforce, many fear for their futures. Evil will come again. One that no normal people can stop alone. They've been introduced to magic and became greedy. They don't care about the state of the world anymore, so they do what they want, not fearing the consequences." she closed her eyes as she leaned back, looking around the darkened hut. Her ears had perked when she heard Marik mutter something under his breath once more. Was there something that he was ashamed of? Going to Hyrule wouldn't simply fix that... would it? [break] [break]She looked back over at him and then sighed, grabbing a few blankets that were tossed over a hanger to stay elevated, as she passed them over to Marik. "We should get some rest soon. We have to be up early tomorrow if we want to make it to Hyrule before its too late."

Hello! Love the face claim, it's friggin perfect for a gerudo.
Everything here looks super super good, I just saw one thing that needs to be changed - You are allowed to have 2 free COMMON spells or 1 UNCOMMON. Din's fire appears to be uncommon, while the other is still common. Might have been a mistake, but nevertheless is fixable.
Once that is fixed, you're all set! Your history is beautifully detailed, so you have been awarded 4 extra stat points! Feel free to use them however you wish in your stats. Once that's all fixed up, we'll get your app locked and moved, and you'll be on your way!

Listening to what he had to say, she nodded as she continued to sip at her flagon. He began talking of failure and moving past it, and she thought of her own personal struggles. Her entire life, she was incredibly poor, not knowing where she'd end up if she couldn't make enough money. Once Link had left home and moved into the barracks, the struggle became much more of a reality, since she was the sole one making ends meet for herself. She was constantly living in debt to everyone, wanting to make sure that she always paid back what she was given. [break] [break]It resonated with her for a moment, thinking of how far she had come... despite it piggybacking off the failure of others. Her own brother, while in good intention to bring the goddesses to stop the evil that smothered the land, had ultimately created more chaos in the process. He had failed. Was there any retribution for him if he were to ever return? There's no possible way he could come back, she consistently told herself. Why did she worry herself of such trivial things? [break] [break]It truly was a thought that lingered though. Could someone who failed so harshly be forgiven by the people? Part of the reason she had such a rapid shift in her own personality and profession is because of these outcomes. People knew who she was. They knew that she was his legacy, and she was demonized for it by those who were angered in his failure. Living in a shadow of a hero that never was. But he was a hero. He gave his life to protect everyone. No one could have imagined that the Goddesses would truly appear and punish not only him for failing to protect Hyrule, but also Zelda. It threw everyone under fire. And indirectly set her aflame as well. [break] [break]"Do you believe it would be possible for the hero to have moved on from his failures?" she mused, not realizing what she had said until it was spoken. She tended to keep these thoughts to herself, feeling a sense of shame and humiliation when others talked poorly of her brother. She looked up to him for so long, and to hear the resentment in others, it broke her heart. "Such a destiny that is given to someone, who has no idea its being thrown at them... it'd make anyone peel under pressure. Not all heroes win. But do you believe its possible to be forgiven for his mistakes and to move on and redeem?"

When Marik had made the decision to avoid seeking medical assistance, she looked at him for a moment while trying to understand why he felt he should. Sure, he was fine for right now, but the entire state of their meeting, and the way he spoke of his wavy memories... wouldn't that have been the best option? She shrugged it off, warming her hands by the fire. "I guess that's your choice then. If something happens, I don't have the knowledge to help, so..." she trailed off. [break] [break]Aryllia didn't have much to say, feeling a slight rift between their conversations, as though there was something off about the air. She wasn't much for conversation, and the last thing she wanted was for him to become attached since she was now the only person he seemed to know. Whatever he was looking for in Hyrule, was most likely gone. She was more of a lone wolf, and the thought of having another person to keep track of was rather draining. Looking back at the ways of war, being unable to help, even when she had the power, and seeing Link's chest pierced with a weapon-- [break] [break]SLAM! Aryllia had forced her flagon of ail to the ground, her eyes looking into the fire as her lips tightened. Her flower shaped hood created shadows along her face, covering her eyes from Marik's vision as she breathed in deeply. "A contract is a confidential agreement made between an employer and servant. They want something done, I get it done. I bring back the proof, they give me my pay," she spoke rather lowly. This particular contract was to search for any evidence of a loved one gone missing in the woods. She had hoped to have found them alive to make things easy and return them, but when she stumbled across their body, she didn't quite know what to do. She took their necklace as proof of her find, as well as coordinates if they wanted to retrieve her, but that was as far as she was willing to go. [break] [break]"Are you prepared to deal with the loss?" she finally asked after a long, lingering silence. "If you go to Hyrule, and cannot find what you seek. If it has been destroyed, removed, or otherwise does not exist... are you prepared to move on from it?" she looked over at him rather seriously.

Aryllia couldn't help but feel a sudden concern for the man's well being. Him not knowing how long he was truly away didn't sit right with her, as her brow raised slightly as she turned to look at him more carefully. "Are you sure that you're alright?" she asked. "If your memory is that faded, then something really serious might have happened to you. Maybe you should see a doctor when we get to Hyrule." It was his choice in the end, but having such spaced memories wasn't exactly normal. It wasn't as if you could simply blink four years and not remember it. [break] [break]Going into her basket that was near her seat by the fire, Aryllia pulled out two rolls that she had made earlier in the week, handing one to him. As she bit into hers, she listened carefully to what he had to say, her teeth sinking into the bread as she suddenly froze, her pupils slowly focusing on him. Why does that name sound so familiar? Sure, captain of the guard was a big role, but... something didn't sit right with the name Marik. She quickly shook it off, not wanting to make it obvious that his name rang some sort of a bell. [break] [break]He asked her for her name, and she didn't want to say. Most people knew who she was now, it seemed like. The hero boy's sister. The sister. She had no true identity when people only compared her to their expectations in her sibling. There were surely to be people who would announce her when they got to Hyrule though, so she sighed, closing her eyes as she shrugged. "I'm Aryllia." [break] [break]She listened to him speak of accepting her company on the journey to Hyrule, as she finished her roll and wiped her mouth with a small cloth. When he had then inquired on her business, she looked back at him, noticing that he was now staring directly into her eyes. She looked away quickly, feeling a bit of discomfort. It was one of her anxieties in a way - looking into the eyes made you vulnerable. She had no issues with doing it on her own accord, but when its unexpected, it's uncomfortable. "I have to turn in a contract to receive my pay," she replied.

A swordsman from Hyrule, huh? She couldn't help but wonder in curiosity what exactly that meant. Still, she made note to hold her tongue for more personal conversation until they arrived at camp. He still seemed not to understand though - had he not been to Hyrule in quite some time? But judging by the shard that she had noticed poked from the palm of his hand... he had some kind of power within him. Perhaps that was the feeling she could sense... but then she would sense it from her own self too, wouldn't she? [break] [break]"How long have you been away from the Kingdom? You speak of it as if it is not in the state of chaos it now represents," she explained. "That place is not worth protecting anymore. The Royal family was removed about four years ago, now taking refuge somewhere deep in these very forests. Things have inevitably changed since the failure of the hero," her voice tightened a bit at the last part of the sentence. "Hyrule is overrun by thieves and guilds now. I would stay weary of it if you are not familiar with the crowd. If you would like, I can accompany you on your journey there. Most people know not to cause trouble if I'm on business," she nodded. [break] [break]Turning round a bend in the path, they arrived to where a glimmering light was appearing through a few trees. Pushing stray branches that fell low out of the way, she crouched down where a wooden hut, with cloth draping over the door and windows stood. A fireplace just outside of it was glistening, creating twirls and twists in the lighting reflecting off the trees. "I have business in Hyrule anyways, and from here, it will take about a day to get to the front gates. If we leave at dawn, we should arrive sometime around midnight if we don't stop." [break] [break]After taking a seat by the fire, she put her hands up against the flames for warmth as she occasionally glanced at the man cautiously. The glow of the fairy still had not left his side. It was so strange to her. "So what do they call you?" she asked. "If you're as good of a swordsman as you say, I'm sure I've heard your name before when the city was once full of life." She herself, was a nobody before the war had started, but because her brother was in the guard, she had heard all sorts of stories.

Looking over the untidy man, she could see the confusion that had crossed over his face, as though he wasn't completely sure what he was there either. She kept her staff in a defensive grip as she started to scan the area around them, on the off chance that this was all an act and he had others waiting to take her down when she wasn't expecting it. Her face immediately directed back to him when she had then heard him speak. He had woken up that way. Her eyes narrowed as her head tilted slightly, watching the little red fairy slowly float around him. [break] [break]"That fairy seems to like you," she murmured to herself. She scanned over him once more, as if trying to find the reason as to why he seemed so misplaced in this area. She couldn't let go of the feeling that he just didn't belong. Then he spoke of Hyrule, and that's truly what caught her attention. She straightened herself a bit, moving her staff back slightly as she now crossed her arms, looking up to the sky just past the trees that hid the golden glow of the sunset. It was getting late, and they were a ways away from Castle Town. It'd at least take a day on foot. [break] [break]"If you're meaning the actual Kingdom, you're already here," she spoke in a matter-of-fact tone. "But if you're trying to get to the city, I've got some bad news for you." she shrugged, pointing toward the setting sun. It was way too late for him to be worrying about getting somewhere like that. Suddenly, it hit her though - something seemed off about how he spoke about Castle Town. The confusion in his voice, as if he hasn't been there yet and was truly lost. Was he really that out of the loop? [break] [break]"Have you not been there yet?" she asked in disbelief. "Honestly, do you know what people would do to you with a nice sword like that, and an untidy attire? You'd get ripped apart. The guilds don't take kindly to strangers, especially strangers that give off an aura such as yourself. The triforce shards changed people, they're too innate in their greed," she sighed. If he truly wasn't around here he wouldn't last for the night. That honestly was unfortunate for him, but she couldn't risk her own camp if this was all as trick. That fairy trusts him though, she kept thinking to herself. Surely that meant something? Fairies were very intelligent, and they were not known to tether themselves to adults unless they truly felt an importance before them. [break] [break]She sighed, rolling her eyes slightly as she started to slowly turn around, pulling her hand forward and motioning for him to follow. "It's getting dark, and you are obviously weakened. You won't survive long out here, so stay close and follow me," her voice gave the tiniest grit of annoyance.

It never changed. While every day that passed seemed like a new breath of fresh air, the tallies marked on the tree were only a reminder of the world that used to be. While the world had been mostly cleansed of the blight that fell over this world when the Goddesses had returned, there was not even a wisp of hope that remained in Aryllia's being. A family torn apart by war, while not the same one, they had similar outcomes. A mother who died because of the disease passed on by foreign invaders. A father who's body went missing when attempting to fend off the monsters lurking in the dungeons nearby. And now, a brother, who fought as valiantly as he could, but how could one truly stop a God when there was not enough time to endure? [break] [break]With a purpose left unfulfilled, Aryllia felt a void. Awakened by her duties as a sage, her sole purpose was to protect the very door that held the golden relic. With that treasure ripped apart, scattered for everyone to greedily pursue, she as well failed in her task. A sister. A child. Herself. Her old self was truly vanished the moment her duties had awoken her. A changed person - once ambitious and kind, hardened by the visions of war, and the destiny that followed. After sitting in solitude for months, left to your own thoughts and the memories of past sages, a shift was surely due. And while some may compare that to maturity, others would compare it to arrogance. [break] [break]After the war had ended, and the chaos ensued within the Castle Town, Aryllia gathered her belongings and made for the forest. It was the one place she knew like the back of her hand - after spending countless hours roaming it when she chose not to meditate, it was the one place she always knew how to navigate... and to avoid others. It wasn't that she no longer cared for her friends, it was that she did not want to protect them. People, food, medicine, walls, everything needed to live. In a town that was falling apart - a royal family uprooted and sent away, it was surely to be lost. What we have other people want too and that will never change. If we survive this threat and it’s not over another one will be back to take its place. To take what we have. [break] [break]She changed everything she could to make sure no one would remember her. She cut all of her hair, changed her wardrobe drastically, and took to the forest. It wasn't lonely though - the fairies that wandered the place seemed to enjoy her presence. In a way, she was a protector - keeping out bandits and anyone who may try to harm it. And while she had often thought of returning to the Temple of Time Ruins, she knew that that was an awful idea. With Zelda's guild now taking refuge in those ruins, it was too much of a risk for her to become recognized. If Zelda had seen her... she didn't want to think about the look on her face. [break] [break]It was another day, and she was alive. No work to do, and enough food to last her the next few nights, she decided to roam the forests to see what she could gather for supplies. So many people got lost so often, they barely noticed when they dropped anything. As she continued to make her way through the forest path, wooden staff in hand, her ears perked as she suddenly heard movement near by. Freezing in her place, she narrowed her eyes, gradually turning her head to look around. There was a shadow in the distant trees, and something felt... off about it. As a sage, she could sense when something was out of balance - especially when something didn't belong where it was. Taking a few steps closer, she approached cautiously. [break] [break]She sprinted around the area carefully, circling around him through the trees - and whether he had heard her or not, her face was untraceable in her movements. Finally, after circling several times as a way of distractions, she jumped down, directly in front of him, only several meters a way as she gripped her staff tightly, a stoic expression glossing over her eyes, as if she was unmoved by his arrival. Still, something was off about this. Why did he seem so familiar? [break] [break]"What is someone like you doing somewhere like this?" she glanced over his attire - he looked like a carriage hit him. His hair unkempt and his cloak disheveled. "Did you get into some kind of fight, or did a guild just kick the hell out of you and drop you off here?" she asked rather assertively. He didn't belong here. He needed to leave.

[break] Born the younger of two, Aryllia is the young sister of the Legendary Hero, Elinkar - better known as Link. Her mother died when she was just an infant, and with her father being heavily active in the royal guard, she looked up to her big brother more than anyone. [break][break] She spent most of her early life daydreaming of one day becoming an adventurer, or even being apart of the royal guard herself, however due to the royal guard consisting of mostly men, and women only being allowed to be part of the tactician teams and casters, her father disallowed her to become consumed by the ways of magic and war. [break][break] When Aryllia was 5 years old, her father had gone on a mission, never returning. This left a heavy burden on Link, leaving him to take care of his younger sister and provide for her as well as himself. The two did find shelter with one of their father's friends, though once they were old enough to work, Aryllia felt the need to repay the debt, immediately getting a job as a barmaid and paying every cent she made to her new guardian to help with paying for their food and rent. [break][break] With Link following their father's footsteps in becoming a knight, Aryllia had a lot more free time on her hands, and also was living on her own since he had moved into the barracks. After paying off her debt to her father's friend, she had moved into the inn that she had worked at, bunking down there to work full time. She also spent much more of her time practicing her archery skills and adventuring through Hyrule. [break][break]
The Ceremony Reveal
[break] On the day that it was revealed that Link was the legendary hero, Aryll had already known - finding out from the sages when they had accidentally spoken allowed in front of her, not knowing she was his sister. As far as she had known, Link had been very secretive as of late, and she assumed it was because he knew who the hero was. She never suspected that he would outright and dishonestly say that it was not him. [break][break] She had been cordially invited to attend the ceremony as a guest of honor, and while she now knew it was because she was the hero's sister, the invitation had mentioned that all members of the royal guard were allowed one guest to attend with them. She could see through their attempts at keeping this a secret though, and when she had made it to the table where he sat, she avoided his gaze completely, keeping quiet, sitting in avoidance to him. [break][break] When Link was then brought to the platform to be announced, everyone roared into applause, but as his eyes gauged a reaction from his sister, her eyes seemed empty. She just looked forward in his direction, still as death, and disappointment painting over her face. "You lied to me," she mouthed. She did not have much for an appetite, and while the dance commenced, she had left without notice. [break][break]
The Preparations of War
[break] It was at this time, when talks of war began. Aryllia began having visions of darkness gripping the land tightly as the royal family fought bravely along Link's side on the front lines, while she simply watched from the distance, feeling helpless and unable to persevere. When Link and she had finally reconciled their difference due to his secrecy, she had attempted to come to him to help with his cause, to which he explained he didn't want her to for fear of losing the rest of his family. [break][break] She had decided to then go train with adventurers she had met at the bar who were from a small forest village within Labrynna. Traveling to their compound she learned the art of hand to hand combat, archery, and stealth. On her returns back home, she had learned of the wedding went wrong at the castle, and how Link and the coalition had to make for an escape, becoming exiles of Hyrule and traveling to Holodrum. [break][break] Rather than following, Aryllia decided to go on her own journey. As her dreams continued, she began to become restless as to what they meant. She continued to have dreams of a very specific location, which she suspected was within the Lost Woods. It was a large chapel like building, covered with nature due to its ancient abandonment and erosion. [break][break] After traveling for several days, she had found herself in the Hylian Ruins, the old location that was kept in memory of the destruction Ganon had brought to the land centuries before. She traveled through it only to stand before the very building she could see in her dreams - it was known as the Temple of Time. When she approached it, the statues that stood on each side of the door had crossed their weapons to prevent entry, as they scanned over the girl slowly. They then moved their weapons once more, welcoming the "sage of light" for returning. [break][break] The Sage of Light? What could that possibly mean? She didn't quite understand, but the moment she entered the temple, it was as though a distant memory had awoken from its slumber in the back of her mind. She was the descendant of the ancient Sage, Rauru, who was the Light Sage for centuries after his reign of Hyrule. She and Link were distant relatives to the Royal Family, it seemed. [break][break] She knew it was her destiny to stay here and care for the place, protecting it from evil when it inevitably approached. Link would have to visit this place to awaken the Blade of Evil's Bane from its slumber as well, as he then would make his way to each temple to cast out the evil that lingered from Seith's trail. [break][break] She meditated and trained here for many weeks until the day came when Link had finally arrived. He truly didn't know what to say when he had found out that she was destined for a great role in this journey. She was the one who had to grant him access to the door of time, and she witnessed as he pulled the sword from its pedestal, and it chose him to be its master. [break][break] When Link had left, it was clear that he was ready to start his journey to each temple to remove the evil left behind, but hope did not seem to last for long. Only a couple weeks later, while Aryllia was heading back to the temple from her training, she noticed a man covered in blight approaching the altar. His figure was distorted, surrounded by evil, and when she attempted to stop him, he immediately turned, grabbing her by the neck and slamming her into the wall. His strength was unrivaled by any, and his voice was sinister and inhuman. He threatened her life, told her to do as he said, and that there was no more hope left to stopping him. [break][break] He rose his hands into the air as the souls shards lifted from his shadowy cloak, and he then grabbed her once more, slamming her into the altar as he began to siphon her power. She attemped to stop him from taking so much from her, but his ability was insidious, foreign to her, and appeared godlike. He used this drainage from her mana to forcefully open the door of time, and it was suddenly chaotic - as if the eye of a storm was released in the temple itself. Blight and smoke surrounded them, light turned to dark, and everything became different - as if the lighting changed and it was sudenly nighttime. The sky ripped open and was covered by a thick blanket of darkness. The Sacred Realm had ripped into the World of Light, creating a rift and joining the two together. [break][break]
At World's End
[break] After Seith had disappeared from the temple, Aryllia knew that she needed to find Link and warn him. But because of his power overtaking her and weaking her, she didn't make it much farther than to the forest trail before falling unconscious. She had awoken several hours later to the roaring power of Gods escaping from the Sacred Realm, and she needed to act quickly. Using a teleportation spell, she appeared just outside the Hyrule Castle, overlooking a great battle taking place between the men and women of this world against a powerful force of Gods. It seemed as though there was no good ending for this scenario. She quickly ran through the city, and just as she had crossed over the drawbridge, she could see the coalition fighting the divine, and bodies scattered across the field. [break][break] When she had found Link, towered over a dark and menacing being, she quickly went to aid him, having once last trick up her sleeve - a spell she had learned through meditation with the past Sages of Light. It would give all her remaining power to Link as a final boost in strength - hopefully enough needed to defeat him. [break][break] Just as she had approached him though, she then witnessed Seith's blade, bathed in the blight of evil rip through his chest. She froze, feeling weak to her knees as her chest locked up and she was unable to breathe. As the blade was removed, she heard the shrills of Zelda's screams, as she quickly jumped forward to catch Link as he fell to the ground, trying to keep him from rendering unconscious. [break][break] In his last moments, he had used the Triforce of Courage, appearing to pray, as suddenly a portal opened above them in the sky and the Goddesses of Old appeared. [break][break] In that moment, Seith was removed. He had been exorcised from Marik's body completely, and then, moments later, Link was ripped from Zelda's grasp, and sucked into the portal. "A sacrifice must be made". [break][break] She then witnessed as the Triforce was then put together in its three whole pieces, shining brilliantly above the people who fought as the gods began burning away, disappearing as they were sent back to the Sacred Realm for eternal rest... and then the it began to crack, shattering into hundreds of pieces that scattered across the land. [break][break] Her brother was gone. Her purpose was no longer valid. [break][break] She was alone once again. [break][break]
Into the Present
[break] Over the course of the next few months, Zelda's coronation into the Queen took place, but talks of hopelessness began to linger with the hearts of many Hylians. Many had thought that the Triforce was truly gone forever, until some adventurers began to talk about finding "golden beads that gave them magic". Word soon spread about finding these brilliant shards, and many believed they were the pieces of the Triforce. Greed began to take over the hearts of many. [break][break] Within the year, many people had found these shards and began using them to gain their own power. Many people formed guilds, as a way to organize people who had similar interests in what they could do with each of their pieces. It didn't take long for them to grow in numbers, and eventually they removed the Princess from her own home. [break][break] Aryllia avoided these situations. She wanted to act as if everything was normal, but she knew that there was a void, as all hope was removed from her being. And then suddenly, one day, while she was working for someone on a contract, while traveling through the forest, she felt herself drawn to something in the bushes. There, she found a shard of the Triforce of Power. [break][break] She spent the next four years keeping it a secret from others, not wanting to draw much attention to herself. There were many greedy guilds that would often try to steal them off of others, and this lead to many gang wars and chaos, as people risked their lives and the lives of others. [break][break] Zelda had tried reaching out for her to join her cause - an attempt to rebuild the Triforce and save Link from his prison... but she did not hold any hope left to believe that he could truly return. The goddesses intended for the Hero's Line to be broken, and as such, it was not their place to intrude.
