It was a bit masochistic of her, to keep repeating her questions and talking about the Twilight Realm. All it did was draw attention to what was quickly becoming a miserable circumstance, even if she did care about this realm and its people. She may be here to help sway old friends to her side, but Midna knew she couldn't ask for anything without giving them something in return, and with the recent turmoil she'd seen, she was bound to be able to offer assistance for something.
Midna nods at Balthazar, seemingly content with his repetition of answers, her dark eyes skim over the near empty room and she sighs softly. Resting her arms on the table in front of her, she lets her cloak slip down, revealing a park of her flame-red hair and soft grey skin. Not that there was really anyone to notice, and she was sure no one in this small town knew who she was anyways. It may be strange for a Twili to appear, but it couldn't have been that strange.
"I have a piece of it, yes. A rare fragment that allowed us to travel here, difficult to get since I destroyed the actual Mirror." she says casually, though the memory is a bit of a sad one, it had its purpose at the time. Now, she supposes, it was probably good she had stowed a piece away for herself, given herself the chance to see this land again. She hadn't wanted it to be like this though.
Thin fingers drummed lightly on the table, and she studied the lines in the wood below her fingertips. "I know few of our kind that would be in this realm, and there are few not of our kind that may aid me. Powerful as they may be, we shall likely be stuck here for some time. I don't intend to go back on my promise to restore the Twilight Realm and my self to power, but I should, frankly, be honest with myself and you." she takes a breath, raises her eyes to look back at him. "It seems we're going to have to deal with each other, and this realm, quite a bit."
Stuck once more in Hyrule, though this time she was not alone. It had been some short time between her exile from the Twilight Realm, joined by a member of her guard whose face she did not recognize but took heed of the promise in his voice, and now she was hiding out in a small town somewhere in Hyrule. Midna hadn't recognized it, but she's sure there would be lots of things about Hyrule now that she didn't recognize.
Cloaked heavily, Midna keeps herself in the shadows of a near empty inn. Nowhere else to go or to turn to, she's sure few Hylians here would recognize her ever. But this was a small town, and rumors spread. She couldn't risk the chance of discovery, not when she had her own mission to accomplish. Her exile here meant that she could find the Heroes again, and hope they would aid her in her mission to return to the Twilight Realm.
The mission though, was going far slower than the impatient princess wanted it to.
Midna huffs lightly, a bit undignified, under her cloak and moves ruby eyes over to her compatriot. Balthazar. He'd been wearing the garb of a royal guard when he found her, but she had not recognized his face, just hope in his sincerity. He had not put a knife through her back yet, and stuck alone in this strange kingdom that was not quite the one she'd known so long ago, she had no one else to trust.
"Tell me again, your position in the castle. And why you chose to follow me? You'd be executed if found out. I'm sure they wish to send an example using me as well." she says, voice a low whisper in the near empty room.
The two had been jumping through the shadows of Hyrule, looking for any who could help her in this mission to restore her throne. And so far they had seen nothing but the passage of time and each other. And still Midna asked him questions, possibly to remember her time in her home, when things didn't seem to always look bleak. Perhaps she wanted to know the man who had jumped into exile with her better.
Midna nodded along with what Zelda said, slowly they made their way to her camp. Her eyes seeing through the dark clearly as she tried to keep her pace up and avoid the uneven terrain of the woods, trying not to jar Zelda and hurt her anymore than she was hurting. Hundreds of years of life, and it had only been a few moments in it that she felt the sheer amount of anxiety and guilt that she felt now. Her friend, and her last hope needed help.
When the camp came into view, Midna sighed in relief, watching as guards approached them. She regarded them and they regarded her for a single moment before Zelda became the priority once more. "Get her help, now." she told them, eyes following them warily as they were lead out to a pavillion, a medic's pavillion.
Midna helped Zelda sit on one of the free cots, and she stole a glance at the injured men and women around them. This was what they were facing, a war that was slowly taking lives.
Healthy? Midna silently thought to herself, looking over Zelda. She was no healer, her magic was purely that of arcane will and ability bestowed through her lineage. She had never studied healing, could not tell sickness until it was consumin someone. But she had watched Zelda collapse, it was not the sign of someone healthy.
"I watched her fall, and I may not be a healer, but if it is not an ailment of the physical variety, what of the soul?" she asked, looking at Zelda curiously. She watched the queen bow her head and admit in shame to what Midna could only suspect and wonder about.
Of all things, her grace was gone. Link, trapped in the Sacred Realm. She'd had no idea, how could she? She had been in her own realm and facing the resurrgance of her own demons. "You have my word." Midna affirms, lapsing into silence right after.
What Midna knows of Hylia, this realms divine goddess, and of Zelda and Link's cycle of reincarnation is what she learned her first time in this realm. She still did not have all the details, but she understood one critical piece of what Zelda said. She had lost her grace, the very thing that tied her to the Light and to the goddess. But all those centuries ago, another Zelda had given a piece of herself to save Midna, and she had spent the time since looking to repay that debt. Now she could.
"You do not remember me, not the way I remember you, Zelda. But once, another lifetime ago, you gave a piece of yourself to save me. I never quite repaid you for that debt." she took a deep breath and exhaled softly. "I don't claim to understand what happened, not in the sense that you may, but I am offering you whatever aid I can provide."
He trusted her. That meant something, even if the harsher reality was that her friend had no idea who she really was. Link wasn't attempting to harm her or stop her from speaking, which meant that there was a chance. Midna had long wondered what she would do if neither of her friends remembered her, the possibility hadn't been a distant one. And now that it had happened, she had nothing. No idea about what could bring it back. Link had said his piece of the triforce had shattered, that small bit of glow she had seen on their adventures, what had saved him when twilight enveloped Hyrule.
At least he was honest about his situation.
Though the more about both their situations that she learns, the less hope there seems to be. Both in her world and this one. With a deep sigh, Midna slumps and looks over the woods with a distant gaze.
"I understand your plight. And while I have not much to offer on my end, I have the power bestowed upon me so many years ago. And I offer what help in your realm that I can provide. With the hopes that should you find yourself returned, you will help me once more." she tells him, and despite the sorrow in her tone and the distance in her gaze as she looks at him, she means it.
Help. Midna could help. She stands slowly with Zelda, keeping the blonde in her arms as she helps her stand. The princess can only assume that her presence had done this to her friend and the sour bubble of guilt begins to bloom in her chest. She has to breathe deeply, before the feeling truly takes root and she abandons the one woman in this realm that could possibly help her. And she doesn't even know who she is.
There is something missing, but I cannot figure out what it is, or how to find it. Midna thinks to herself, looking in the direction of where Zelda points her lantern and begins to help guide her in the direction of their camp.
"I am sorry if my presence has caused this, I spent quite some time debating on finding you. Please, tell me what I can do to assist you," Midna whispers, staring past the lantern light and into the shadowy trees ahead. She could see rather fine without the light, and what moonlight leaked through the canopy helped. Midna simply let Zelda use her lantern to guide their way.
Midna walks briskly, but tries to keep pace for Zelda. "I understand that to you, I'm a stranger. But it had been my hope that we could solve that, and find a way to solve the problem we share. Our kingdoms lost to us."
Here in this realm, Midna could feel that bead of light she kept inside her for so many years. It had been quite some time that she had even thought about it more than in passing, when she missed this realm and its occupants. But here, it was no doubt what allowed her to fit in this realm so smoothly despite her Twili appearance and capabilities. And it was why she could traverse rather easily in the sunlight of this realm, even if she preferred the shadows.
But here, right now. The shadows comforted Midna as she led her old friend through the darkness of the woods to her camp. Anxiously curious to see what those there would say about her appearance supporting their queen, who had no doubt snuck out after dark.
The confession on the part of the princess didn't surprise her. Though Midna's face takes a sorrowful expression, she had expected as much. This Zelda and her friend were different people, even if fate demanded they be intertwined forever. Though the fear on the young woman's face also sent another painful wave through Midna.
What had Zelda gone through?
"I understand, it has been quite some time," Midna speaks gently, shielding her eyes from the brightness of the lantern hanging in front of her. Midna sees the exhaustion on Zelda's face and she wonders if her own resembles it. The Twili woman had spent so long wandering through these woods and away from her home, she was starting to lose hope again. The appearance of Zelda had blossomed something near dead. But with the confession with no memory, it wasn't for long.
Both women's face no doubt were mirrored, exhaustion, fatigue, sorrow. Both had lost so much lately, and while Midna knew for certainty she needed Zelda and the Hero, she had no clue if they would need her the same.
Midna remembers the last time she was in this realm, when Midna had been given a gift from the princess. A piece of her that allowed Midna to freely walk in the light realm without harm. Zelda had saved her life then, and Midna owed her deeply. She was never able to repay the debt to her friend, but she had been given another opportunity in this Zelda.
What happened next started in slow motion for Midna, and then the world seemed to speed back up and stun her. Zelda, simply dropped. And then she screamed. Midna fell with the princess, reaching out to grab her arms and keep her upright and slow her fall. Both women now had their knees in the dirt, and Midna stared at Zelda in surprise.
"Zelda, what's wrong? Let me help you," Midna breathes, clutching at the young princess in fear. "I'm your friend, tell me what I can do."
The nights in Hyrule were her favorite, where she could close her eyes and take in the quiet air of dusk and twilight and imagine she was back home. Among her people, in a place of familiarity. And nowhere in Hyrule more closely matched the atmosphere than the Lost Woods. The air of old magic, not quite stilled, filled with mischievous spirits and the natural creatures who lived in these woods; Midna felt almost safe for the first time since those men entered her throne room.
And with the lack of movement of others throughout these woods, Midna had made her new home in the forest. In the days she'd been here, she had stumbled upon the camp that held her survival. The hidden Heroes, safely camped away. She hadn't dared to try and make it in, no, instead Midna kept the knowledge and moved deeper into the woods in order to hide out, and wait for the right chance to approach those she had once called friends.
Tonight though, Midna had found herself wandering, breathing in the cool night air. Her head had been spinning, memories of the Twilight Realm, thoughts on what could be happening while she was stuck here. If her people believed she was dead or had abandoned them. She wasn't sure which one was worse. So she paced, keeping to the shadows in the trees, alternating between staring at the moon above and remaking how different it was from home, or at the ground below so she knows her way.
I can find my way through these haunted woods, but not my way home. Quite the monarch you are, Midna.
For several moments, Midna simply stares around the woods, wandering silently when she catches a glimpse of light. Stopping in her tracks, she slips backwards into the shadows of a tree, watching the gentle swinging of a lantern move between the trees, held by a familiar yet so completely different figure.
Zelda? Midna stares, watching the reincarnation of her friend, and focusing on the moving figure Midna summons the power inside her, slipping between the folds of the realm using the twilight Midna wraps the shadows around herself and teleports herself some feet away from Zelda, still in the shadow. Slowly she slips out of them, approaching her old friend.
"Zelda? Is that truly you?" Standing so close to her, Midna can feel the familiarity, even as she notes the differences. "It has been quite a long time, friend. It is me, Midna," she smiles softly, looking at Zelda with hope.
Midna doesn't react when the sword is leveled at her chest, though silently she notes it is not the Sword of Legend. Which meant that he did not carry it with him or had not gone to repossess it yet. With their proximity to the rumored resting place, Midna only assumes the former. This Link seemed to be aware of his destiny. She smiles sadly, the troubles of Hyrule have no doubt put the young man on edge, and she doesn't fault him for the weapon, though the urge to simply slap it away does rise before she quells it.
For a few tense moments, Midna stands there, watching the blade lower slightly until he puts it away as she finishes speaking. The step forward surprises her, his face bared the confusion he no doubt was feeling, but his body language began to take on a tone of familiarity.
"That I am, it has been something like four-hundred years since I last saw you. And it was not quite you," she says, indicating towards him with a gentle sweep of her hand.
With her still regal grace, Midna's shoulders slump down ever so slightly, and she relaxes; enough to show to Link that her intentions here are not malicious.
"I understand you have no reason to believe me, but I wish you no ill will. Some time ago, I was once again deposed of my throne by those who wished to take power from me once more. Believers in an old traitor you helped me stop. Thrown from my realm, I came to find the only friends I knew who could help me. You, and Zelda." there's a sorrow to her voice as she speaks, red eyes staring at Link unflinchingly as she speaks.
What could she say to prove her words? He had no memory of his past self, nothing to connect him to her. Mid-thought, Midna notices Link rub his head and tilts hers to the side, curious as to the cause. "If there is some part of your mind that knows who I am, that knows I speak the truth, please allow it to tell you," with that, the Twilight Princess falls silent, hands clasped in front of her.
The site of her friend, with all his slight differences that pinned him as not her Link, sent a wave of relief through her. He seemed to be wandering, trying to get free of the confines of this camp. She shifts in her hidden spot, wincing at the flinch she sees Link give and thinks he may have heard her. Midna hadn't wanted to jump him, but if he tried to find her she imagines this reunion won't go as planned.
She sees him grip his sword, aware that he is not alone in these woods. The reunion was going quite the different path than planned. Summoning up all her strength and faith, Midna carefully and quietly stands from her spot hidden in the shadows and slowly approaches where Link stands, the shroud around her falling to reveal the regal yet dusty robes of the Twili, and a rather immodestly dressed Midna, red hair plaited elegantly away from her face.
"It has been quite some time, Hero," she says softly, smiling peacefully as she looks at him. His hair was just slightly different in shade she noticed, possibly built a bit more on the shoulders, but the eyes were the same.
Even if he doesn't remember me, at least I get to see him again. Midna thinks to herself.
"What dear friends we used to be, unfortunately, I am much longer-lived than Hylians. My name is Midna, and you helped me regain my throne once; I've come to ask for your aid again."
When Midna had fallen through the Twilight Mirror portal, she had expected to find her friends where she had nearly left them. Hyrule Castle. It hadn't taken long for the recently deposed princess to discover that the Realm of Light was in much worse shape than her own. The realization had been terrifying. So Midna had set off to find her friends, wary of being in this realm.
She had known there would be Twili in this world, whether or not they agreed with her as a monarch didn't quite matter as she used the shadows of this realm to move in secret. Traveling farther distances at night where she felt most comfortable. Even a Twili on her side may give her away to the enemy on accident, and until Midna saw the Hero's face again, she was not prepared to let that happen, lest her plans fall to ruin once more.
It hadn't taken her long to hear the rumors, after the fall of the Hyrulian family, the takeover of Castle Town, Midna hid in shadows and listened to whatever she could gather. The rather dejected princess turned over every word these Hylians said. Cloaking herself in the shadows and keeping a firm hold onto her cloak.
The Lost Woods. She'd ventured into them once with Link, found them rather charming for their ominous presence and heady feeling of magic. It was a spot in this realm that reminded her somewhat of home. With its low light and quiet atmosphere. All the rumors had led her back to these woods in search of Link, he supposedly was hiding out here with the refugees that sided with them. Her careful examination of these woods taught her that it would be impossible to get into their camp without alerting several guards and causing a fuss. Instead, Midna summoned up all the patience she had and decided she'd await the Hero. And meet him on the outside.
It meant she had no idea who was in that camp though, and from the rumor mill it had sounded as though Princess Zelda was dead, and the thought soured something in Midna's heart.
"Come on, Link. You're my last hope..." Midna breathed into the empty air, shrouded against the shadows of a large and decaying tree just outside the magical perimeter of the camp.
In the twilight dusk of her realm, Princess Midna had sat on her throne for hours. Her daily ritual of listening to all that the Twili of her realm had to say, while taxing, was rewarding. She prided herself on the fairness of her rule, and when she and the hero had stopped Zant, she was sworn to uphold this kingdom to its highest standards. No more would men whisper and plot behind her back. Every insurgent had been dealt with quickly and cleanly, and she had spent so many years ruling successfully. She had not expected this.
Entering her throne room, five men dressed in the robes of royal servants entered. But it had not been their robes the tired princess had noted first, no, it was the masks. Those curling lizard faces of stone and horror, and once again she was a younger woman being banished from her home and cursed by a man of no importance.
"Who are you?" she asked, the command of a queen in her voice as she sat upright in her throne, staring down these mask, red eyes ablaze with fury and fear. The men did not answer, simply approaching in rank until they were nearly upon her and Midna's two guards; spears pointed at them.
"Your Princess asked you a question, halt and answer!" she could hear one of her guards bellowing, but it was through a wind tunnel. Her focus had zeroed in on these men until the throne room was a blur and her heart was pounding in her ears. Her cool hands gripped the stone of her throne until she could nearly feel her skin ready to tear at the pressure. No words thrown would stopt them, these were the ones who had gotten past all her security, past every threat and act she had made at making her kingdom safe. Once again, she was losing her throne to a no one, and this time she was prepared.
"Words will not work on these men guards, kill them. Now," she spoke, her voice calm as she stood from her throne and faced down those stone masks. "You will not destroy my kingdom again, I will make you pay for what you have done." Midna strikes out with the power of shadows on her side, ripping through one man as two take on her guards. She pays no attention, ready to defend her throne until her death. There would not be another Zant on this throne, not while she lived. She strikes at another, but there are still two men standing and advancing. Her guards are gone, and it is just her in this room with these men.
For a moment, Midna studies the architecture, the layout of cold gray and blue, while outside the world is tinted almost purple in the dusk. She studies the bright blue of magic in intricate shapes along the walls, her heart still pounding loud enough to make her vision shake. She knows this will be the last time she sees this place.
"Show me the faces of the men who would strike down their princess," she demands, her back as straight as an arrow, chin held up defiantly as flames of red hair cascade loosely around her shoulders and down her back. One by one, the men remove their masks and stare into the burning eyes of a woman betrayed. Midna marks each of their faces, sears them into her brain with revenge, and takes one step off the dais of her throne. Then another. And another. One more step and she's on the ground before them, staring at them as equals.
"You will be stopped." she tells them, looking into their cold eyes. Two men grab her arms, one on each side. Gripping tightly. As they hold her, more men in the same masks begin to enter until they practically fill the room.
"You will regret laying a hand on your princess." with every ounce of courage still within her, Midna focuses down on that dark piece of magic she possesses, and in one steady breath unleashes its power across the throne room. Like thunder rolling the building shakes with the magic as those hands release her in the chaos. Shadows swirling all around her, Midna, knowing her fate flees. She races to the entrance, fleeing her kingdom as she uses her power to open one last portal from her kingdom, to a place she hasn't seen in many years. To faces she hasn't seen. Midna looks back at the throne room, staring at the chaos inside, even as they start to contain it. She memorizes those faces and that mask once more, and steps through the portal and into the Realm of Light.
Midna has lived for quite some time, and seen many of things. She joined forces with the Hero of Light, stopped a mad usurper and took her throne back. Her regality does not solely apply to her appearance, Midna is diplomatic when the mood calls for it and rather stern and stubborn when times arise. She has never been afraid of letting others know her thoughts on a subject, especially if that subject involves the Twili and Zant. She also has some choice words to say about Ganondorf. The former princess has all the training to be a charismatic ruler whom subjects would listen to with trust in their hearts, but the events of two hundred years prior and current events have made that difficult.
Despite a rather regal and diplomatic lifestyle, Midna is rather mischevious and witty. She finds herself often commenting rather sarcastically about others around her, especially if she's displeased with them. And though she had a royal upbringing, the woman is not above pulling practical jokes on others, usually close friends. Whom she has very few of nowadays.
Much of her life has been spent running, hiding, and generally distrusting most people even her own. Midna can be rather standoffish if you are an unknown to her, though her personality warms with time. She is distrustful by nature now, but not unwilling to become allies if it serves her purposes.
With time, it's easy to find Midna to be quite compassionate, she was once willing to sacrifice herself for the good of her only two friends. Brought back to life by the power of the Light, Midna has learned to temper her responses to this realm and its denizens. She is aware that her two friends have come and gone, reincarnated again and lacking the memory of her. After her destruction of the Twilight Mirror, Midna had managed to find a way back into the realm of Light, once she visited her Link in his older age, and then again when she fled the Twilight Realm the second time.
The former princess is also pragmatic. She understands well that her life has been a mix of misfortunes and luck that have kept her going. And in light of recent circumstances, she has adopted a rather reserved attitude. Keeping to herself in this realm until she can find the Hero or Zelda once more.
LIKES
[attr="class","scroll"]
Quiet; Midna has grown to enjoy solitude more than she imagined and now much prefers to be in quiet places where she is allowed to think and be on her own.
Link & Zelda; possibly the only friends she truly has ever had, Link and Zelda grew a special place in her heart some hundred years ago, and she longs to see them again, even if they are the reincarnations.
Fashion; a rather trivial pasttime, Midna has a fondness for dressing up and knowing the latest fashions wherever she goes. Though she keeps a low profile, she rather enjoys looking her best.
Magic; it's a part of her, and thus she enjoys studying the shadow magic of her realm.
DISLIKES
[attr="class","scroll"]
Zant + his followers; the reasons she has fled her kingdom multiple times, and she has a healthy hatred and fear of them. But she also plans to stop any resurgence.
Current Twilight Realm Monarchy; the ones who have taken her place may not directly be at fault, but it is her home and her throne, and they have allowed Zant sympathizers to exist.
Light; despite her immunity after her resurection, she spent much more time in her own realm and thus is not a fan of bright lights.
Cities; as someone in hiding, large crowded places make it easier for some to notice her and who she is. She sticks to quieter areas to be safe
MOTIVATIONS
[attr="class","scroll"]
To restore her throne; done with being usurped and threatened, Midna plans to raise a backing to take her home back. Once and for all.
Help the Heroes; Zelda once sacrificed herself for Midna when she least deserved it, the least she can do is repay the favor in any way she can and help her newer self.
Seek vengence on those who wronged her; a dream she has long had, a time will come when she can teach those who have wronged her what she is capable of
FEARS
[attr="class","scroll"]
The return of Zant or another like him; if Zant were to return again, withoutt the Fused Shadows or the Mirror, Midna does not know if she could stop him or someone similar
The Light Realm being lost; should this realm be lost, her friends would be as well and she would never be able to repay them for all they have done.
The Twilight Realm lost to her; her home, despite what it has done. She would rather see it again than see it fall.
Never seeing her friends again; though the Link and Zelda she knew are gone, they live still through their new selves, and should even they be lost to her it would be a tragedy.
HISTORY
Several hundred years ago, Midna had been chosen to rule the Twilight Realm. Born into the nobility and raised to be a diplomatic and graceful ruler, she was a natural choice for the role. She had been fair and firm, diplomatic, and the Twilight Realm had maintained peace within itself for quite some time. Its people were happy and adored their Princess. When a servant of the throne, Zant, sought to usurp power for himself he turned to the one creature who could help him. Ganondorf granted him powers to strike Midna from her throne and cursed her to the form of an imp.
Fleeing her own realm, Midna took a piece of the Fused Shadows with her. Leaving her own realm, watching her own people turned to beasts being one of the hardest things she had ever done, but she would never be able to stop Zant on her own.
With the help of the Hero of Light, Link. Midna stood beside him in his quest to stop Zant and Ganondorf; and though her intentions were purely selfish for a time, the two became close friends throughout the ordeal. The Hero helped her gather the other pieces of her Fused Shadow and put a stop to Zant's 'rule' over the Twilight Realm.
Over the course of their quest, Midna faces Zant and nearly dies, her reliance on the shadows making it difficult to stop him with the power granted by Ganondorf. Her life only given because of Princess Zelda, who sacrificed herself to save her. Forever in her debt, and renewed, Midna follows Link to finally stop Ganondorf once and for all.
In return for Zelda's sacrifice, Midna helps defeat Ganondorf and restore the Princess to her own body. Dying in the process only to be brought back by the Spirits of the Light. With Ganondorf defeated, Midna uses the Twilight Mirror to go back to her own realm, knowing that they needed her first and foremost. She had wished Link goodbye and told him she would see him later, and she has always intended to keep that promise.
Over two hundred years since then, Midna had ruled the Twilight Realm with relative ease. Zant sympathizers had been routed out and stopped before they built up any strength. Her rule had been fair, and she had been just, but it wasn't enough for the resurgences who built up their strength and once again deposed her of her throne. Once again usurped and pushed from her own realm, Midna has fled to the Isle in search of the reincarnations of her friends in the hopes that they will be able to help her take back her throne. The young woman plans to stand alongside her friends once again in the trials that they face.
As of now, the former princess resides in the Realm of Light, using her magic to disguise herself amongst the populace until she can find her friends once again. Unaccustomed to this realm, Midna finds herself rather lost in Hyrule without Link as her guide again. And while her long ago revival due to Zelda and the Light Spirits have mad her immune to the effects of daylight in this realm, the princess finds herself hiding and traveling in the shadows once again.
APPEARANCE
Midna, in her true form is a rather lithe and curvy figure with pale blue-gray tinted skin with markings of black in specific areas. She also has lighter blue-green tattoos along her skin that are rather distinctive for the Twili, but also mark her a royalty. Her hair is rather long, usually partially up in a headdress and is bright red and orange. Her eyes are mainly red, with gold on the outer irises.
The princess prefers to dress in the height of fashion for Twili, and is less than modest about her wardrobe, often wearing garb that shows off much of her skin while maintaining an elegant look. As royalty she would often be seen in a rather simple but elegant headdress, though now her hair is usually tied up and away to simply free her of its burden. And with her newfound fugitive status, she tends to wear heavier cloaks to hide who she is.
MAGIC
Twilight Portals Shadow Magic Midna can harness her natural give of shadows and use it to teleport herself small distances. The magic takes some time to prepare (one full post) and use and cannot be used on the fly. With it though, she can quickly travel or try to escape potential danger. (can only be used once a thread)
Imp Form Transmutation Once cursed to the form of an Imp by Zant, Midna was later freed with the help of the Hero of Light. Now, when necessary she can transform between her normal form and the form of an Imp, used primarily to travel between shadows. [Instantaneous transformation, can only be used for one full transformation twice a thread]
+ Shroud: Twili have the ability to become one with the shadows around them, making them masters of stealth. They can hide in a shadow of any size while they are in the Realm of Light.
- Weak to Light: Twili are vulnerable to light based attacks and sunlight, taking extra damage from those kinds of magic.
