There had been just one moment where she had been in the temple, going about her daily routine calmly. The day hadn't felt any different and Sita did not expect the hours of terror she began to endure. One second she was leaving the heart of the temple, it was late in the afternoon and there had been fewer than normal Zora milling around, but no cause for concern. The next, the world had been enveloped in black and she felt a sharp pain in the back of her head, the sound of her staff clattering to the ground and then nothing.
When she had awoken it was somewhere dark, it reeked of decay, mold, metal, and fear. Though the fear was mostly on account of Sita and the three other figures with her in the dark. None of whom she recognized. One was a young girl, similar in age, Hylian. A masked being, who seemed young, and an older woman. Sita, in her panic, could not determine any reason they were all gathered here and begin to breathe a bit heavier, panic turning her bones to led. She had been bound by her wrists anyways, there was not much she would be able to do in this state.
Slowly, over the course of minutes, Sita began to calm her breathing enough to speak. "Is anyone hurt? I'm a healer, I can help if I can just get my hands loose," she whispers, hoping that whoever had captured them was not waiting around nearby.
Where one would naturally want to speak up, Sita says nothing. Quiet and shy near to a fault, Sita glides through life the quiet servant to her goddess. Rarely does she speak to those outside her home, the young girl has always preferred isolation and quiet. And while the quiet girl wouldn't let someone step over her, neither would she cause a scene. Far more willing is she to quietly find a way around her problems. Making her far more clever than she seems.
Sita is dedicated, to her friends, her family, her people, and her goddess. When one is planned to serve a goddess, one takes her position seriously. Sita will constantly drive all her focus into the task at hand if it means serving her people for the better, and with the destruction of Hyrule and its Heroes of late, Sita is more determined than ever to dedicate her being to helping. Whether it be healing those sick and injured, or performing the traditional rites to Nayru in hope of gaining her goddesses favor for her people once more.
The young girl is easily startled, and prone to pouting when things go awry. Especially if one of her many daily tasks has been interrupted. And while Sita has legendary patience at times, she is young and has a tendency to be impulsive in her duties. Often trying to find some shortcut or easier solution. It has often been said by her teachers, that Sita enjoys an alternative look at the world around her.
LIKES
[attr="class","scroll"]
Sweets - the young girl often craves exotic sweets that traders bring into town, and even homemade ones are enough to satisfy her for a time. But Sita is always looking for the next treat her way.
Swift water - like many Zora, swimming is sometimes the most enjoyable thing about life. Sita finds pleasure in racing through the familiar speeding waters of rivers that surround the Zora's Domain.
Warm drinks - Whether it be tea, cocoa, or coffee. As long as she's added some cream or sugar to it and the cup is warm in her hands, Sita is a huge fan.
The color blue - another stereotypical one, but Sita enjoys the soft shades of blue that are familiar to the Zora. Whether it be the water or the sky, the color relaxes the young girl and reminds her of her duties to her goddess.
DISLIKES
[attr="class","scroll"]
Fire - it can be loud, it hurts, and it causes destruction wherever it is. Sita hates the site of any fire larger than one used for cooking.
Crowds - always one for the quiet and isolated, Sita hates being stuck among too many people for too long. The noises and the atmosphere are too chaotic for the young girl.
Anything bitter - her sweet tooth always gets the better of her, and when something turns bitter Sita will scrunch up her face tightly and complain until the taste is gone.
MOTIVATIONS
[attr="class","scroll"]
Her job - as a servant of the goddess, while she has no direct contact, Sita is very dedicated to her job and takes it very seriously. She was handpicked for her position, and there's a burst of pride in her chest at the thought.
Hope - with all the news as of late, Sita keeps hope for the return of the Heroes, and that good will triumph like in legends old.
The Daughter of Naryu - long lost and now just a legend, Sita has heard every tale since childhood. She has also heard the rumors about it, and keeps up hope for her people's lost beast. She also hopes to one day lay eyes on the creature.
FEARS
[attr="class","scroll"]
Death - while not something she is intimately familiar with, and while being so young has little to worry about, Sita has helped heal the ailing and injured. She's seen those at death's doorstep and it does frighten her.
Hyrule's Destruction - Hyrule is part of her home, and it is a good place. Should her home be destroyed Sita would be lost to the chaos.
Abandonment by the Goddesses - when one is in service to a goddess, the idea of being abandoned does not sit well. Sita has spent many years hearing that her service in for nothing, and while she shrugs off such comments, some part of her worries deep should they be true.
HISTORY
Born into a simple family of Zora, Sita was the only child and grew up rather content with life for several years. Her mother before her had worked in the temple of Nayru in Zora's Domain, and it had been long understood that Sita would work there as well when she grew older. What had been unexpected, was the surprising gift for healing they discovered when she was around six and had taken a particularly nasty fall. A small cut above her left eyebrow had looked far worse than anticipated, but when the crying child had been found the cut was already closing over.
Beliving it to be a blessing from the goddess, Sita was sent to the temple and began the training as a priestess, there she was given a full education and trained in the ways of healing without magic along with the duties of a temple. Without her family though, the young girl was miserable for some time; kept cloistered away from most of the Zora unless she was sent out on errands with an older priestess.
When Sita was around eight, she met the first non-Zora she'd ever seen. A Rito boy. Her fascination with him had her watching his movements near the temple with curiosity and fleeing in embarrassment whenever she was caught.
Since then, the young girl has grown to her duties as a priestess, and often leads the others in helping take care of those that come for the temple in need. One of their best healers at sixteen, magic aside, Sita has found a purpose to her life now; and as she is older spends much of her free time wandering Zora's Domain and swimming. Regularly she is seen walking along a quieter path of the river in thought, eyes skyward.
APPEARANCE
Sita is rather short for her age, standing around 5'2, and petite enough she's mistaken for younger at times. Most of her clothing doesn't fit properly, and she regularly tailors them herself when she has the time, but often settles for over-sized garments.
MAGIC
Healing Light
Light based magic
Given a natural affinity for helping others, Sita can use a small blessing upon others to heal them for injuries they have sustained or of what may ail them. Her magic cannot close a life-threatening wound immediately, but would be capable of beginning the healing process for them, the magic is also useful for staunching bleeding or removing common sickness. The magic manifests as a small blue light in her hands, thought gifted from Nayru, its touch is like a cool breeze.
+ Gills and Fins: Zora are able to breathe underwater without the help of blue dye or a breathing apparatus.
+ Swim Champions: All Zora swim at ease underwater. They are fast, able to fit in narrow spaces, and can outmatch any other race in the water at ease.
- Weak to Electricity: Zora are not very strong against electricity - especially since it spreads like wildfire in water. It can be fatal if exposed to enough, and they will take much more damage than other races.
WEAPONS
Quarterstaff; A simple walking staff, only a bit taller than Sita herself with white wrappings around where she holds onto it. The bulk of the wood is a smooth tan with engraved symbols of Nayru and the Zora on it, and hanging in long beaded charms are small talismans that Sita treasures. The wood is dense enough that should she strike at someone's ankles with it, they'd feel it.
EXTRAS
An old leather journal; something of a record keeper for her, Sita writes in it who she helps and what work she has done for the day.
