Cetus was a mere shadow of the regal aura her grandmother displayed, as they entered the chambers together, seeing royalty of Hyrule, Holodrum, and Labrynna alike already gathered. She let out a slow breath before sitting down, legs tucking to the right, and folded her hands in her lap. Her eyes flicked from each other attending member, noting who as who, but her concentration was broke by Thetis speaking to her, bring her focus to Gael. Her eyes narrowed as she scrutinized him, confused. He certainly wasn't of their people, but regardless, he still held the title that was his right. She replied, under her breath.
"Tact, grandmother. We do not know the whole story."
Her focus was taken again by Artemis speaking, inviting discussion of what had happened, and she had opened her mouth to respond, but was stopped by her kin speaking, as queen-regent of the Zora Domain. She stayed her tongue as she listened to her grandmother's harsh words, and frowned. The Zora had historically had a strong relationship with the family of Hyrule, one of prosperous trade and diplomacy, and yet here her grandmother was, doubting them. As dearly as she loved her grandmother, she couldn't hold her tongue, and when the older Zora was finished speaking, stood and faced Artemis herself.
"You hold no claim to throne or power right now, this is true. A prince of a hypothetical throne, forced to live in exile. But I wish to remind all attending here that the line of Hyrule was subject to a rebellion led by a Zora of Labrynnan blood, and a tyrant at that. He is no true king, and hardly deserving of the prestigious title of Zora, if at all. You have no throne, Artemis Hyrule, but I am obligated to remember that none of this was by choice. Grandmother, if the same had been done to us, we would be no different than they are."
She paused to let her words take emphasis, and realized she was digging her nails into her hands. With a sigh, she calmed herself, and continued.
"What your sister has done is, indeed, an act that has endangered all of Hyrule, but we cannot assume she was not led astray. As such, bickering about thrones and titles and prestige will get us nowhere. We, as a country, must and will rally together to fight this Goddess that has been unleashed upon our people. If it would help the family of Hyrule at all, I would offer healers of our people to assist your sister. I already have our strongest soldiers and mages ready to accept commands, but they are to guard Zora Domain first and foremost.
As for the subject of the hero returning, I... I'm afraid I must agree with my grandmother on this one. The boy may have been the chosen of the Master Sword before, but the goddesses saw fit that he be stripped of that power. However, the fact that they did not have him killed speaks volumes of their intention. He was left alive, and this was not without purpose. Let him do what he will, but do not focus on helping him. If he is a hero, then he shall earn that title before the eyes of Holodrum, Labrynna, and Hyrule alike. But whether he does or not is of no consequence to us. We have but one thing that will make us as strong as we once were, and it's not a sword, the grace of the goddesses, or a hero. It's unity."
Another pause, before she sat back down, back straight as she held her head high. She had to be steadfast, but she knew her decision could be taken as rash.
"I take the throne of the Zora Domain in mere months, but the people support me. As such, I speak for all Zora of the Domain when I say that I will back your family in the upcoming conflicts."
Oh how I wish, For soothing rain, All I wish is to dream again
The giant's words brought a gasp from the princess' lips, a gasp of shock. The princess, she was alive? her composure wavered, but she gathered it up quickly, facing towards the Goron brother.
"If Princess Zelda truly intends to protect her land, she will do it at the side of the proud races of Hyrule, and not of others. Though news of her survival is joyous to me, it is concerning to hear such events have taken place. Thus, I propose that I go, as an envoy for both Zora and Goron, to meet with her, and offer our armies and service as allies. She cannot- Nay, she will not ignore our pleas. We are her people, and it is her sacred duty to protect Hyrule, Triforce or no."
She paused, gathering her thoughts. There was another manner that she felt she had to address, but it had to be put in a way that wouldn't cause skepticism from Konungr. It would seem absurd to the average person, but he was far from average.
"I've one more request of you, Chieftain Konungr. My people are searching for what some may consider a myth, a leviathan that legends claim is the descendant of Nayru herself. Our armies are not at the numbers they used to be, and we are desperate for aid. Though we are a long-lived race, many of our past leaders did not respect the history of their ancestors, and as such, much has been lost to the tides of time. I ask simply if you know anything about the great beasts descended from the Goddesses themselves. If my research is to be trusted, however meager it is, there is a descendant of Din affiliated with the Goron, no?"

”My father, unfortunately, has taken ill, and in his stead I speak for my kingdom. My advisors have deemed it so, as his condition is less than favorable.”
Her hand had clenched when the Goron Chieftain mentioned her father’s authority in the kingdom, ever so briefly, but no show of it came across her face. One had to train themselves to hide disappointment in the Royal Family, especially if it was of the actions of those above you. But she was here, and her father was not. It was something unavoidable, and she knew her people would back her in her decisions. Blue eyes met Konungr’s own.
”Our conflict was bred of ideals that are long out of date. It is time that the ideals of old be cast aside in favor of a new, brighter world. Conflict of Goron and Zora has benefitted none for generations, and we shall be the first to take the steps needed to prosperity. I need naught from you but your promise of brotherhood with the Zora people, which shall be returned in kind. Once again, we shall fight as a unified Hyrule, instead of a fragmented people.”
She paused to let her words sink in, then took a step forward, a hand pressing to her chest, right over her heart. When she spoke, it was softer.
”I sense dark times falling upon us. Our world lost its hero and favor of the Goddesses, and because of this, people have lost hope. But I have not, and I pray you have not, either. My resources are at your disposal, whether you need mages, healers, warriors, or counsel. All Goron will be welcome in the Domain, if they choose to be there, and if my father complains, I will assuredly stand my ground to him. I’ve set the pieces in place to assure nothing goes wrong. These are my promises.”

As the small creature was taken by Cetus’ guard, she greeted Marin with a smile and light kiss, mumbling good morning. Imagine her shock, however, when the other princess conjured food from midair! What a magic! It was certainly a shock to her, but she was thankful nonetheless. Besides, it had been years since she last had pancakes that looked so good.
After their meal, the camp was deconstructed, as Cetus sat with Marin, the small creature in her arms. The young fox had eaten its fill, and was sleeping in her arms, finally trusting of her. Perhaps her magic could influence it? She couldn’t help but wonder. Her head rested against Marin’s shoulder as she watched her guard work, and she mused out loud.
”It’s been years since I’ve even been to Death Mountain, and years since we’ve met under the pretense of peace, and not enemies. I’m not eager to do this, but willing. There needs to be peace between our people. Perhaps you can come along, as well, and speak for your people. The Royal Family is long misplaced in the world, long overdue, and maybe it’s time to take steps forward.
In addition… What shall we do when we leave the Gorons? I would very much like to ally myself with you, as well, and I feel a meeting with your sister may be of merit. My father has always had good relations with the Hyrule royal family, despite his… Ways of old. But I intend to take rule as soon as I can, with the ailment afflicting him. My elders are in deliberation as we speak. It would be best if we made a treaty sooner than later.
I SPOKE TO GOD TODAY ~ AND SHE SAID THAT SHE'S ASHAMED ~
Cetus’ answer to Rawlin was introduced by the arrival of the exotic Zora, poking her head from the water and observing, before emerging at the prompting of the head guard. She smiled at Seale, eyes scanning over her wet form as she made sure the girl was presentable. Satisfied, she nodded at Seale’s bow, and then turned her attention back to Rawlin, speaking still to the handmaiden.
”Dear Seale, our honored guest here is a postman, and son of a prestigious trade company. He has a package for you, but also a proposal of trade with our people. An export source of our resources, with promises for profit. And he mentions a party, it seems.”
One elbow rested upon her throne, and she leaned to the side, chin placed on top of it. Her eyes went back to Seale, watching her to see how she’d react to the proposal. Her people came first and foremost, and with their separation from the other races by Hyrule Field, trade was few and far between. Still, trade could open up chances for diplomacy, so maybe it would be a good thing?
”You know I trust your input, dear. Do you think such an agreement can benefit the Zora as a whole? As for the party…”
She turned back to Rawlin, blue eyes focused on him.
”I appreciate the offer, but my duties are here, in the palace. I could send a representative, but with my father ailed as he is, I regrettably am forced to oversee court. I was hoping for a more direct answer, so I will have to take that into consideration.”
And with that, she paused, waiting to hear input from the other two.

So Marin had chose to introduce herself as Princess of Hyrule. Some part of her had suspected the girl would, but she had left it up to her. It was not her duty to introduce the royal family of Hyrule, she was here utmost for her people. The diplomacy was important, and she held herself proudly, chin raised and back straight. She looked every part the princess she was. Admittedly, she was nervous, but who wouldn’t be, put out of their element so much? She looked forward to a long swim in the rivers around Kakariko Village once this was done, but she pushed the thought from her mind. Business came first.
”Your message came through without any issues, Chieftain, and with haste, at that. I apologize it took me some time to come for this diplomatic meeting, but I had to speak with the Elders of my people, as well as find an escort through Hyrule Field. Regardless, we have considered your proposal, and are willing to come to an agreement. Too long have our people been at odds with each other, and I intend to fix relations my father may have otherwise ruined.”
The introduction of the large Goron who had allowed them in was returned with a graceful curtsy, and a smile from the princess, before she turned back to Konungr. A deep breath was taken, as she calmed her nerves, and looked the large Goron in the eyes. She had to be brave. Her people were relying on her.
”I speak for all Zora when I say that I come into this with the best intent of my people put forward. I ask, kind Cheiftain of the Goron, that regardless of the outcome of this meeting, we remain in good terms with eachother as a race. Regardless or not of alliance, I wish for friendship between our people for generations to come. I see no reason for things to not work, but understand I am simply erring on the side of caution. If this pleases you, I will now listen to your request of me in full.”
'CAUSE IT'S ALMOST LIKE YOUR HEAVEN'S TRYING EVERYTHING TO KEEP ME DOWN ~
Day came sooner than Cetus would have liked. Though they spent much of the time of the moon’s rise together, with idle chatter and little bits of affection, the fact stood that they had to sleep. The guards moved in as they retired to the tent, cots furnished with furs and pillows. A light kiss was pressed to Marin’s head before Cetus climbed into her own cot, curling up. A small smile and flushed cheeks were hidden as she thought of what transpired, giddy as a teenage girl. She was happy, and slept well because of it.
Daylight brought some shuffling outside, and confused, stirred from her slumber, Cetus sat up, rubbing away exhaustion. The sound was her guards mumbling about something, and it piqued her curiosity. A day dress was slipped over her slip, and she stepped out of the canvas shelter, beholding what was before her. The guards were surrounding a small beast, a little fox of pure white color that was walking with a limp. The poor thing was hurt, and its foot was being bandaged. When the guards saw Cetus, the stood at attention, save the one fixing the fox up, and saluted.
“Ma’am, this creature was attacked by Moblins last night. We defeated the monsters, but it was injured bad enough that we worry for its survival. What should we do?
Compassion for all life above all. That was the belief Cetus had. She leaned down, slowly, before the beast, looking at it, and held out a hand. It recoiled, teeth showing, but she smiled, and pulled her hand back. With a gesture, she had one of her guards bring her some dried fish, and she held it out, like an offering. The canine sniffed it, before taking it from her, chewing slowly. Only then did it let her pet it, hands running along its hair.
”It can’t be more than a baby. Was the mother killed? If so, bring it with us, at least until it gets better.”
She then looked back, seeing if Marin had woke up too, before the fox caught her attention. A laugh was coaxed from Cetus as it licked at her hand, begging for more food.
”And bring the poor thing some fish, it must be starving.”
Oh how I wish, For soothing rain, All I wish is to dream again
A fruitful trip often led to a fruitful destination. That was something that Cetus’ caretakers would tell her, as they told her stories of old, and it was a philosophy she took to heart. Her company, with Marin in tow, had arrived to the Goron clan halls, great stone mountains turned into home for the folk of the rock. It was very hot, and she found herself lightly sweating, but she persevered on. The small fox she had found along the way was tucked protectively in her arms, docile and satisfied, bandaged foot hanging over her arm. She was in idle conversation with her new-found partner, joy in her eyes at their Goron escorts took them to a pair of great doors, Zora guard following behind her.
With a sigh, she turned to her head guard, handing Pryna to her, and gestured. At her command, the Zora joined the Goron guard, there to protect their princess. She sighed, idly straightening her dress, the white of the trim like foam on a cresting wave. She had taken great care in her night of stay in Kakariko Village to look as good as she could, while still remaining regal. The great sapphire of her people sat upon her breast, and her circlet made of sapphire, coral, and silver rested upon her head. Her trident was held idly in her off hand – not for threat, but as regalia. She stood not a chance here, with no water in sight. The beasts could not come to her aid where she could not be found.
A great shaking signified the doors opening, and she was greeted by a Goron of immense size, pleasure on his face. She bowed lightly to his welcome, but was careful to note the look in his eyes. They meant business.
”I thank you, Master Goron.”
Entering the hall was a thing of wonder, and Cetus took a brief respite to look about, having never seen the clan halls of the Goron before. It was truly majestic, but when her eyes laid on Konungr, she froze, briefly. He was truly as large as they said, and intimidating. But she was there as a friend, there was no concern to her. Her free hand gracefully curved as she dipped into a low curtsy, holding her dress to the side so she was able to do so. Truly, the blue and white of the trim looked as sea foam when it moved. Her trident was propped on the ground, in her left hand, as she rose, standing proud and tall before the Chieftain.
”I, Princess Cetus Kelpia, heir regent of the Zora, thank you as humbly as I must for inviting me to meet with you, Cheiftain Konongr. The grace of Nayru is passed to you. This is truly a day that will be spoken of for generations to come, one of alliance between Zora and Goron. With me I bring my… Consultant, and partner, Marin. I’ll leave her to introduce herself as she sees fit, and then we can proceed, if it pleases you so.”
