Wait, what? Percy looked to Asthar in dismay for a moment as his final comment before they had finally gathered at the table. Did he just say what he thought he did? This isn't a race, what kind of intent does he have? Confusion painted on his face as he looked down at his hands which rested gently on the stone table, trying to understand just what Asthar was planning.
As Kura had gone to sit down, he had taken note that she seemed to be rather hungry. He smiled lightly, as one of the servants had returned with their tea, and he nodded to his gaze, raising one of his hands gently. "Please bring the party favors, will you?" The servant nodded with a smile, quickly disappearing into the palace once more.
"I do hope the food will be enough," he murmured to himself, then listening to what Kura had to say. So they were still in attempts at trying to gain support from Hyrule Castle Town it seemed... and despite the guild not knowing much on their location - or even if the royal family were even still alive, the suspicion was growing to their ears and now they were threatening the allegiance of civilians.
The smile had faltered from Perseus's face as he rose his hand to his chin, rubbing it thoughtfully as he tried to think of a solution as to how to deal with that problem in particular. "Perhaps... it may be time to make yourselves known to the people of Hyrule," he spoke quietly. "From what it seems... it has been four years. Zelda is only just now starting to get back out there. She's already traveled to Holodrum, and is spreading the word of her cause. Perhaps now is the right time to finally reveal your survival. It will surely cause others to have to pick a side," he explained.
She then had asked of the possibilities of his aid once more, to which he gave the tiniest smirk, tilting his head slightly. "You need not worry, m'lady. If you require more supplies, I will send some men back with you on your way out to bring back to the base. However, the road is long, and I do suggest you at least stay in the city until the morrow. I can have the guest quarters properly fitted for a princess such as yourself. I'd feel much better if you stayed so that you didn't have to travel after dark."
Suddenly, Percy's eyes widened--it had hit him finally. Was Asthar intending on trying to court the young princess? He stayed silent for a moment, looking over to Asthar with a worried gaze. Suddenly, several plates were brought out before them, three servants all displaying their meals in front of the royals. It was a warm berry stew with cooked meat and greens. While the food would distract the princess, he quickly cleared his throat, murmuring to Asthar. "What are you planning?" he asked suspiciously.

Perseus Elein is the King of Labrynna, although he is much more lax than his father before him. Being a kind and gentle leader, in comparison to his strict and secretive father, Perseus has been known to be very loyal and welcoming to visitors of any kind to his kingdom.[break][break]
[attr="class","bttitle"]friends
[attr="class","textline"]
Perseus is incredibly loyal to all of his friends. He would give anything and everything for them, often throwing himself into danger to protect them from harm. While he has found himself in a tough situation of balancing his duty as King and keeping contact with his friends, he sets aside time to visit with them. [break][break]
Asthar Zeltich: One of Percy's dearest and closest friends is the King of Holodrum, which has been found to be quite ironic for many people since Holodrum and Labrynna have spent centuries feuding with one another. Even during the time where the feuds were still taking place, the two have been very good friends, and it carried over into their duties as King, starting a treaty of peace bethw eteen the two kingdoms. Asthar is his closest, and what Perseus would consider, his best friend. He would do anything to help him and has found he enjoys his company with him most out of anyone.[break][break]
Zelda Hyrule: Although their relationship had been very complicated, Perseus has always considered Zelda to be one of his closest friends. Because he has had feelings for her for so long, he often found it hard to be around her, but after spending as much time as he did fighting her cause, he has set those feelings aside and now sees her as one of his closest allies and friends. [break][break]
Link: A complicated relationship at first, when Link came along, Perseus couldn't help, but to feel a bit of jealousy from the attention that Zelda had given him. He did, however, know that if the texts were correct, those two were bound to be together. Although he wanted to pray that perhaps things would change, it was inevitable and he eventually accepted their fate. Feelings set aside, after following behind Link in his endeavors to save Hyrule, Link became a very close and dear friend of his. [break][break]
[attr="class","bttitle"]enemies
[attr="class","textline"]
While it is very hard to get on Perseus's bad side, there are few people whom have taken the title of an enemy or hated. Perseus does not associate himself with, and would become hostile toward anyone who threatened or put his friends in harm. He would make it incredibly obvious of his distrust.[break][break]
The Dark Guild: The guild that had thrown the Royal Family of Hyrule out of their home is first on Perseus's shit list. If he were to ever come in contact with someone of their kind, he would immediately become hostile, to send a message that the Royal Family will return to power some day.[break][break]

[attr="class","textline"]
Kura Hyrule: While Perseus had known Kura since he was a child, and had spent much of his life doting upon her older sister Zelda, as time had passed, he had grown from his unrequited love and found himself often wondering if there was anyone out there for him. It didn't take long for Percy to become rather smitten with Zelda's younger sister, Kura, whom often looks to him with admiration. Although Percy isn't exactly... experienced with love or the art of courting, he finds that when he is around her, he can't quite get the butterflies out of his stomach.

The princess had looked rather puzzled in his questioning of her arrival, which means that it was not her intent to appear unannounced. Pursing his lips, he listened to her words, while simultaneously looking over at Asthar, noticing as he eyed her down, taking in how much she had "grown up".
He nudged him lightly, speaking lowly as she approached and shook his head. "Off limits. Zelda would kill me if I let you get near her," he spoke, a slight tone of jealousy evident in his voice, although he had attempted to make another excuse as to why he should stay away.
Kura spoke of being grateful of Perseus's intervention at Castle Town, to which he nodded, smiling lightly. "I surely could not let anything happen to our princess," he chuckled. "It was my honor to relieve you of any danger."
But as she had mentioned being here because of those events... he couldn't quite figure out why. Did something happen after he had taken his leave. Although he had gone to speak with Zelda shortly thereafter, she had followed close behind, made no mention of any other dangers, and seemed to be in safe hands. What was wrong?
He tried not to dwell on it for too long, but he began to worry that perhaps he had failed in his attempts to help her and that there was more to the story that she was leaving out. "Did something happen to you, m'lady? Or are the bandits back?" a rather protective tone washed over his voice. "I promise to do all I can to protect you and your family."
She had mentioned sitting over tea to have such a discussion, and as she invited Asthar to come along, he nodded. "Absolutely. Tea sounds wonderful." He turned to one of his servants, striding over to them quickly, relaying the message as they made to the back room with haste.
"Let us have this discussion then," he smiled, motioning for them to follow as he approached the main hall. Sunlight escaped through the large open windows, allowing for the stone palace to glisten with minerals. A vast forest engulfed the castle, branches and vegetation peaking through the cracks and openings of every area. They made their way through the area in silence as they approached the dining area.
As large, brass doors were opened by two guards, the three royals stepped inside, revealing a large, open room with a balcony that overlooked a dale filled to the brim with forests and rivers. A waterfall cascaded into a lake at the ground of the valley, filling the chamber with the smell of freshwater, pine, and pollen.
The land of Labrynna was vastly different in comparison to Hyrule, as well as Holodrum. Thick and lush, the land was full of thickets and bluffs. Hyrule and Holodrum were much flatter.
"I presume this is your first time to our kingdom, yes?" Perseus took a seat at the head of the table turning to Kura, offering the two to sit on either side of him. "The tea will be out in just a moment."

"W-why does everyone think I like men!?" Perseus suddenly retracted, taking a few steps back in awe. He honestly couldn't make any sense of it. Was it that hard to believe that he was just waiting for the right woman? For as long as he was in love with Zelda, did people think it was a cop out?
He looked down, pursing his lips in embarrassment as his cheeks flushed and he sighed, thinking about what Asthar had said. Surely there was more to life than simply women, and he was surely not going to find one overnight. Asthar could try, but in the end, it seemed rather hopeless.
As he went to respond to his later musings, a man had suddenly walked into the chamber, clearing his throat. "Your highness, Princess Kura Hyrule has arrived to speak with you."
...What?
Perseus's eyes were wide with confusion. "Kura? Why is she..." he trailed off for a moment. He had come to Hyrule recently and had helped the young woman to avoid a gang of thieves who were attempting to attack her, and the two had gone back to speak with Zelda, but after that, he was sure that their meetings together would be concluded, at least, until Zelda was ready to come out of hiding.
He wasn't quite sure what to say at first. The princess had come all this way though, just to speak to him? In person, rather than writing? It must have been of utter importance if it were surely needed to be a conversation.
He looked to Asthar, as to make sure that he was okay with this interruption. "I'm sorry, but it must be important if she traveled all this way to see me," he looked forward to the guard. "Send her in."
When the princess had walked through the doors, Perseus couldn't help but stare for a moment - he hadn't seen such poise and elegance before him in ages. The dress she wore was surely a bold choice since many believed the Royal Family to be dead, but she looked stunning. His cheeks flushed a bit once more as he simply watched her, unable to come to words, however he quickly recollected himself upon reflection and cleared his throat.
"It's surely a surprise to see you here, m'lady," he bowed. "Has something happened?"

It was when Asthar had dismissed his women and said their goodbyes, that Percy looked around for a moment, wondering what it may have been like to have woman fawning over you at all points in time. Sure, there were those whom were drawn to him, wanting nothing more than to be in his presence and to seek his attention, but truthfully... he had no idea how to even talk to a woman in such a way.
He had spent so much time drawn to the heir of Hyrule, that no one else interested him. He never really gave any other woman the time of day. Despite his charming and welcoming presence that was able to make a woman faint at his very smile, that was as far as it ever got. The moment a woman began speaking to him with the intent of romantic interaction... he was stumped. He would forget how to speak properly. He'd become shy, clueless, and often overlooked their flirting as friendliness.
When Asthar had then asked if there were any women in his life, his expression became puzzled as his attention returned to the young King's face. She paused, thinking about it for a moment. Was it really that big of a deal? So many people asking him about what kind of plans he had in terms of marriage... how could he get married when he didn't even know anyone who was worth the trouble?
"I uh..." he stumbled upon his words. "I suppose I haven't really been focused on that kind of issue. My main concerns have been keeping the kingdom afloat in this chaos, as well as aiding Zelda when needed, so I haven't exactly had the time to uh... look for a woman."
Asthar was right though. He wasn't getting any younger. Here he was, pushing a quarter century old--older than any royal member in the history of Labrynna to be unmarried. Culture, of course, was changing, and people married for social status in the past rather than love, but it was clear that his time wasted on unrequited love made for some controversy and rumors. One of his council members even asked him if he was gay!
"I'm not desperately looking for love though. If it comes, it comes. I would rather marry a woman for our bond, rather than her beauty," he admitted.

King Perseus had been awaiting the arrival of his good friend whom he had not seen in quite some time. While they have kept each other updated in writing, it had been quite some time since the two had gotten together, since they both had been quite busy with their kingdoms.
Percy himself was quite busy in particular - new to the throne, and now having several years under his belt, he was beginning to finally get the hang of this whole ruling thing. Still, the question constantly came up - as many had often questioned why he never married into the royal Hylian family.
Well, look at the kingdom now, he would say. Fallen to bits and missing. Still, he did keep in touch with miss Zelda, and the two were very good friends still. And after all the years that Link had been missing, many would have thought that she would have finally turned to him, but of course, the young heiress was faithful as ever to her hero. Despite him being gone for such a long time, she watched the doors to the Sacred Realm like a hawk, assuring everyone that he was indeed alive.
Overtime, despite him still having a love for her, the feelings began to stifle, and he was able to get over the unrequited feelings. Still, it was quite annoying with his advisers and kinsmen constantly pushing the idea for marriage onto him. There were not many options - sure there was the idea of marrying into another race, but that was not smiled upon. Truthfully, there were not many options in terms of royalty, though that was not something that had ever been a concern for Percy, as it was for the court.
Those were thoughts for another day though. It had just so happened that it was one of the annoyances that he had to deal with for the day, but it was cut short when King Asthar had arrived to the castle doors. Eagerly, the King arrived to the front atrium, where Asthar had entered, two women at each arm. Well, he was the lady's man.
"Hello, dear friend," Percy smiled brightly. "It's definitely been some time."
The King stood from his throne, his flowing blonde hair accompanied by a crown of spring flowers and buds. A deep green set of scaled armour with a forest colored cape, the King was wearing a more adventurous attire, on the chance that the two would end up leaving the castle.
With a small bow, King Perseus then stepped down from the throne area, walking toward Asthar to hug his old friend. "When you had mentioned that you had wanted to pay a visit, I wondered what exactly you had in mind! I see you have brought company?" he looked to the young women. "You've done a marvelous job of finding the most beautiful women on the Isle, as always," he chuckled.

As the young princess began to speak, Perseus listened carefully, keeping a cautious eye on the people around them. While the tavern was mostly filled with rather common civilians, you could never be too safe with watching the wandering eyes and listening ears of those around you. Because he approached as quite obviously a royal, many seemed to turn heads in their direction. But as their dialogue began to quite down and their conversations a bit more serious, many lost interest.
Before Perseus could speak once more, he could feel Lady Kura tugging on his clothing, and he quickly turned to her, looking to her worriedly. Was she perhaps untrusting of someone within their perimeter? Was someone among their new little group someone she didn't trust? He pursed his lips as he watched her, getting himself ready to leave the area toward the exit, his arm around Kura's small frame to guide her, "I'll accompany you back to my quarters. We can discuss more there--"
Before much more could be said, the young Gerudo woman seemed to suddenly step from her seat as she approached them, speaking rather lowly and advertising her trade as a mercenary. To this, Percy's brow raised as he turned his head to look at her. While he was quite confident in the abilities of his men to take care of bandits, he was looking to find someone of her skills to help her during his time in Hyrule. Still, he wasn't to be so naive as to trust her immediately.
"What brings you all the way to Hyrule? This place isn' exactly... harmonious right now. Although I guess that would be great business for a mercenary during times like these, ay?" he nodded. "I'd be interested to hear your story and compensate you for your time, whether I'm interested in hiring you or not. I do not want to waste your time."
Man, Zelda would probably kill him if she knew that he was dropping to such "shady" levels of business. But being thrown into the position as King at such a young age was not an easy task, and with the loss of trust in many of his civilians, it required him to take desperate measures. Everything he did, was in the best interest of not only Hyrule, but Labrynna as well.
Taro had rented out a private room, to which he then tightened his arm around the young princess as safety precaution. As he had went to take a step forward, it seemed that Kura had taken matters into her own hands, stomping forward into the room impatiently, to which Percy blinked lightly. "M'lady, I promise you that this meeting will end quickly and we can move into more privacy, and perhaps meet with your sister. I will take full blame for the manner of events."

As Kura began to explain herself, backing the two who were among her presence, the King slowly took a more approachable stance, looking over to the scarlet haired man who began to speak, seeming rather flustered as he had realized what status Perseus had. The stern expression that was painted over Percy's face was slowly softened as he pursed his lips, clearing his throat.
He could tell that Rawlin wasn't seasoned in conflict, as he seemed rather upbeat for the tension that seemed to surround the room. If only there were more people with that kind of spirit, most were rather pessimistic these days, especially those who were native to Hyrule. "Thank you, Rawlin. I will keep that in mind," he said quickly with a smile. "And all that has happened? What do you mean?" He could see that Kura was trying to keep her status hidden, so he made sure not to properly address her, on the off hand that someone were to try and attack, so he flashed a small smile at her as he then turned to Wilhelm who began to speak.
Wilhelm explained that an organized group had been attempting to capture Princess Zelda. As her name spoke, hearing of what people had planned, his eyes hardened as his fist tightened, angered by the idea of people still trying to harm her after everything she had gone through. He took a deep breath though, knowing that Kura, who shouldn't even be involved in something like this, was the one who was targeted in place though, whether or not they knew her to be princess. "Thank you for telling me. If you have any descriptions for those who were involved, I will send my men to seek them out. Despite the chaos within this kingdom, a treasonous act such as that should not be tolerated. I stand by the Queen and will fight by her side until this kingdom is reclaimed."
He then turned back to Kura, kneeling down as he took her hand, bowing as a sign of respect as he watched her eyes carefully, concern washing over his face. "Are you okay, m'lady? I'm sorry that this has happened. If I weren't late perhaps this could have been avoided."

Y O U N G K I N G
Percy had been late. He had promised to meet with a member of the royal family in order to discuss plans of trade to supply the Heroes of Hyrule with resources and necessities. Riding along the beaten path, he was dressed in his scouting armor, followed by several horsemen holding banners high with the sigil of Labrynna. Many seemed to move out of the way as he pushed forward, the high walls of the surrounding Kingdom city in the distance. This place became a nest of crime and greed, though Percy did not fear it as others did. Despite his position, he did not fear what others would try, especially with his newly found shard he had been entrusted by Zelda.
As he approached a hillyside where a rundown tavern was located, the King had halted his men and dismounted his horse. Turning to his allies, he smiled lightly. "Please excuse me for just a bit of time.I acquire two of you to follow closely behind me. I have some business here--" he stopped for a moment, hearing the rowdiness of the tavern as his brows raised in concern. "Is this surely the tavern I was meant to meet them at? Zelda said either Kura or Killian would be here," he murmured to himself as he pat his horse to stay put.
Taking a step into the bar, his stern expression seemed to stop all movement within the tavern. Many looked at him, wondering what a man of such wealth was doing in a place like this, as two men followed closely behind him. His dragon scaled armor seemed to jingle as he took a step forward. A man of silver blonde hair and ceruelean eyes, he watched the area, seeing a young woman in armor, and he immediately recognized her.
There was a man with her whom Percy did not recognize, scarlet hair and bright eyes... perhaps a Gerudo? But Sanguine was the King, he had thought. And he would not appear to look so casual. The pair were approached by another man who seemed to be hovering over them with a sly grin over his lips, to which Perseus could see the discomfort in Kura's expression.
"M'lady," Perseus shouted loudly enough over the voices of all others. "Allow me to escort you somewhere safer, if you wish. I do believe I was sent to speak with you," he approached them slowly. He narrowed his eyes, staring at the white haired man cautiously before turning to Kura. "Lady Kura, are these men bothering you?" he then murmured more protectively to her.
Perseus, son of King Galadhion and Queen Esmeras of Labrynna was born on a very stormy night within the castle. While his mother had been very ill, there were complications at birth and the doctors were required to remove him from her in an emergency cesarean section procedure. She died almost immediately after her son had arrived into the world, though Perseus did not seem to have much hope either. [break][break] Perseus was born silently. No tears, no screaming, barely even a breath of life. In a panic, the King had made arrangements to bring him to their sacred springs, hoping that perhaps the Gods would feel sympathy for the family. As they had set the dying infant into the pool of water, it was as though a miracle had happened. Blessed and given strength by the forest sage herself, Perseus began to cry, taking a large breath of life. [break][break] Ever since that night, King Galadhion was incredibly protective of his only child. Not allowing him to very much access to the general public, he was incredibly sheltered, given education from within the castle walls. He had spent most of his life there, not even knowing what life was like outside their own little world. That was until he was about ten years old. King Galadhion had made plans to visit the King of Hyrule and would have his son accompany him. [break][break] Discussing terms of trade and peaceful business, this was Perseus's first real look at what the real world was like. When they had arrived to the castle, Perseus was given life when he had met a young girl, about his age. While she was only a year or so younger, Perseus had felt as though there was something about her that was life changing. Something beautiful. He could feel the potential within her. [break][break] It wasn't long after that, the two became very good friends. They wrote to each other and often spent most of their time together when their father's were visiting each other. When Perseus had turned 16, that was when he had found out of their fathers' plans. The two were arranged to be married when they came of age, or when one of them had an untimely passing. Rather excited about this, Perseus had immediately written to Zelda to see if she had found out. [break][break] She had, though she didn't have quite the answer he was expecting. While she did value his friendship and was very fond of him, she did not have the same feelings for him that he had for her, which was disappointing to him. He did not wish to force this upon her though, and he knew that until that time, unless things were changing, he'd let her figure things out for herself. [break][break] At 21 years old, the young prince is free to roam the land as much as he wants. Since he is an adult, his father no longer holds any restraints on him, though he does often speak his mind when it comes to Perseus doing things that he does not agree with. When the King of Hyrule had passed away and with Zelda's coronation drawing near, King Galadhion continues to talk of their wedding and how it must come in time before she becomes the Queen. That way, Hyrule would have a fit ruler, though Perseus believes that Zelda is incredibly capable of running Hyrule herself. [break][break] After Zelda had met Link, he had exhibited signs of jealousy, but managed to contain himself, because he knew that she was happy and they were destined to be together. He remained loyal to her cause, despite the pain it brought, and when their forceful wedding day had came, they had planned to escape from the castle. [break][break] After Zelda had faked her death, Percy was incredibly distraught, often getting into fights with other members of the coalition for being dense and quick to anger. During their stay in Holodrum, they had met a sheikah named Sheik, who claimed to have known Zelda. She then lead them back to Hyrule for the final battle against Seith. [break][break] Fighting on the front lines beside Link and the coalition, they did the best they could, however Seith and his army were far to powerful. Many died, and Link paid the ultimate price by praying to the gods and sealing himself away. [break][break] When the triforce had shattered, and the war was over, Percy stayed by Zelda's side to console her until he felt it was best for him to leave. During the war, his father was killed for being a "false leader", and he had to return to Labrynna to claim the throne. On his journey home, he came across a golden glowing shard in embedded in the ground - it was a triforce shard. [break][break] It granted him a magical ability, and when he had written to Zelda about it, she asked for him to keep it safe until they gathered enough pieces to put the relic back together. [break][break] After Zelda was forcefully removed from the throne like her family, he offered them a place to live, but she explained that she knew a place for them to go into hiding. He offered supplies to help them get on their feet, and so they still are closely aligned, despite him not being apart of the Heroes of Hyrule. If he didn't have a kingdom to rule, he would have joined in a heartbeat. Still, he will sometimes join in on quests they are on to help them find shards.
INNER BEAST: When in battle, if Percy becomes overwhelmed or otherwise angry while fighting his enemies, it may trigger the inner beast - a lycanthrope spirit common to the Royal Family lineage that lends its strength to the user, giving them a boost in their senses, such as smell, sight, hearing, and touch (strength).. [break] Magic Update #1: A Moderate Test of Strength Perseus has a small bit of control over this ability now, however, still not much. He is beginning to get a handle on how to activate it, but still can only do it when at a heightened sense of fear or strive to act bravely in battle. His boost has been upgraded to moderate, allowing him to move more quickly and reflexively, packing a punch with bone crushing moderate damage. (The update can only be used against bosses. Anytime this is used against Player Characters, it will stay minor.) [break][break] ROYAL BOW: An ancient bow used for generations within the Labrynnan family, rumored to have been plated with dragon bone and using the hairs of a lynel. [break][break] ROYAL SWORD: A sword that was given to him by his father, it is a sturdy sword used by members of the Royal Family.
