Things were finally starting to become normal. It was as though the world had forgotten the hardships that the Heroes had faced in the coming weeks, and while darkness loomed over the camp, many attempted to grin and bear it, and went about their days as they normally did.

Basil was busier than ever. With over half the troops taken out by the battle at Symmetry City, and the other half wounded, he and the other doctors had their hands full with preservations of bodies, as well as remedying those who fell ill to their infections.

Today was finally a day for Basil to step away from his heavy plate and do something on his own. He had plans of exploring the woods and looking for rare herbs that would be useful medicinally in the future.

With a sword at his side and a knapsack full of food, he had plans of exploring all day if he could. He went down the beaten path, heading further into the woods that he knew fairly well by now.

The days felt heavy to him, but he tried his best to stay positive. He picked at several herbs to collect for later use, but wasn't coming across anything particularly rare. He'd just have to go deeper in, he supposed.

Pointed ears meant that the blood flowing through the man before him was that of the goddess. The very same of those responsible for taking his mothers life. Fingers extending down to his sheath, an audible click breaking the silence he created. Clutching the hilt of his blade in his gloved hands grasped onto his weapon, ready to draw it to its full length from its sheathe. Picking berries and herbs from the forest had brought the Hylian right to him. This boy had not started the civil war that had brought to power the royals of Hyrule. Killing a nameless man would not sate the hunger for vengeance his soul desperately desired. The pressure produced by his killing intent ceased in an instant as they passed. " Any further and you may not return." A warning to the Hylian, beyond Basil a scene of slaughter by his blade. Though by no means was Deimos the only threat to the adventurer. For the beasts slain were pack hunters, those two were not the only beasts to hunt these hallowed grounds. The boy would need divine protection from the goddesses to see next light. "I--I don't mean any trouble!" Basil waved his hands up above his head, shaking profusely. He had no idea what he had just walked into, but he knew he was in deep trouble. Was this one of Eleazar's people? How did he wander so far into the woods? Was he going to kill him?

He could barely thinnk, let alone shake whatever horrid thoughts crossed his mind as to what Deimos would do to him if he disobeyed. He took a deep breath, keeping his hands where the hybrid could see them and he took note of his form.

A half breed. A rare one, at that. He wanted to ask more, slightly fascinated by it, but he was overtaken by the fear of being slaughtered where he stood. This man didn't seem to have much of a nice side, especially for strangers.

"If you want money, I don't have any sadly... but you can look through my things, I swear! I'm just collecting plant matter!"
