MY RAVAGED VOICE BETRAYS ME MID-SHOUT
PERSONALITY
It is said that the children of magic do not change. They are fated to remain the same, existing as watchers who record history and give blessings to those that come seeking them. But that isn't true at all. Because, you see, nothing stays the same forever, and the more time that trickles by, the more something is bound to give. What changes the most is how things are viewed and handled, and when one has seen as much as this Great Fairy has, it isn't hard to understand why she has become the way she now is.
Kindness is, at the heart of the matter, very fitting of her title. She is an exceedingly kind, compassionate, and warm soul, being the sort of person who would gladly give the clothing off her back to a complete stranger. There is something familial about her, almost like she could be anyone's mother or older sister, and in that there is a sense of comfort. She doesn't judge, always listens, and sees multiple sides to every situation. Her advice comes from years of experience and she is, no matter what, a pillar of support who has a shoulder anyone can use when they need support.
A whimsical curiosity, teasing playfulness, and intense wanderlust fill her to the brim. The idea of exploring to her heart's content excites her, and considering that she's spent so much of her existence in Ikana's canyon, it makes sense. The bonds between people mean a great deal to her, and while she has had to see many people pass on due to old age, she's never regretted the relationships formed and the ties that have bounded their lives together. They are precious memories she'll cherish forever; nothing can take that from her.
But... she's seen a lot over the course of her life. Because of her immortality, she's resigned herself to being something that does not greatly change in a world that will constantly change around her. More importantly, due to events that happened with the fall of her precious kingdom, her heart has become extremely fearful and forced her to withdraw, leading her to be a shell of the woman she once was. Will more time change that? Will it bring back the hope she once had?

HISTORY
Birth of Another World
Nine thousand years after the land of Hyrule came into existence, the land of Termina was born.
The beings known as the Great Fairies were born at the same time as each other, created from magic woven by the Four Giants that governed the parallel realm. From the beginning they were tasked to be watchers, living in harmony with the various races of the world. It was during these days that the entire place was new and young, and everyone lived in complete peace. But peace is not something that can last forever, and as their people grew in numbers and ambitions, it became clear that many things would have to change.
It was then that the gods of Termina decided they would venture to the four corners - "a hundred steps north, a hundred steps south, a hundred steps east, a hundred steps west" - of their world and guard it while they slumbered, having exhausted their power. Unfortunately for them, their friend the imp misunderstood the intentions of the giant beings, and began to wreck havoc among the citizens of the land. With a heavy heart, they returned their friend to the heavens, and fell into a state of rest.
The people, too, followed in the footsteps of the kind giants. While it had a different name back in those early days, the settlement that would one day become the flourishing city of Clock Town started to grow, and Terminians began to make great progress with technological advancements. The Great Fairy of Magic stayed behind in this place while her sisters scattered to the four corners of the world, not knowing at that it would likely be the last time they saw one another.
Kingdom of Ikana
Her fountain, nestled comfortably in the side of the canyon walls, felt so large when she first created it. The land outside of always had something new and exciting going on, teeming with flora and fauna as far as she could see. Every day there were blessings to bestow and people to chat with, and when a man with the dream of founding a kingdom arrived to ask for her permission, she didn't hesitate to give it. It was a joyous time full of laughter and dreams, and she felt a notion of pride while watching the Terminians band together to built a glorious castle and comfortable town.
Yes, those days really were some of the brightest in her long life. For centuries time flowed by while she watched over the kingdom and recorded the history in numerous books locked safely away in her personal library. Assorted gifts filled her fountain ranging from beautiful flowers to extravagant jewelry, and whenever a child was born in the canyon, the parents brought him or her to the Great Fairy. She blessed them all, thriving alongside them all as they grew from infants to fine men and women, who in turn brought their own children to her, and their children's children.
The Stone Tower, created by the Four Giants six hundred years prior, become overrun by enemies from another nation known as the Garo. These people, hiding their true forms underneath robes, were prolific in a strange form of combat and spied on the people of the kingdom. For nearly a decade this slow torture went on before full scale war broke out. Captain Keeta lead the military forces to fight off the invading army and Igos du Ikana, king of the canyon, rallied as much support as possible.
It was a war that she fought in. Kindness, refusing to watch those she loved be slaughtered senselessly, rose to the front-lines and fought valiantly alongside the Ikana warriors. Igos' wife and children were able to escape from the chaos and carnage, and thankfully by the time the doors of Stone Tower Temple broke open, they were far from the place they once called home.
...unfortunately, they were the only ones.
A curse spread through the canyon, but even if it had not, the sheer amount of death would have forever tainted the very ground upon people walked. The kingdom fell, crumbling to bits, and not a single soul was left unscathed. Those that had survived were transformed into Skull Children. Gravely injured, Kindness returned to her fountain to rest, and could only watch with a broken heart as everything she loved slipped through her fingers like pieces of glass.
Visitor from Hyrule
Years of darkness and despair. For most of it she slept, unable to do anything for the once-great kingdom that had become nothing over than a wasteland. Little changed in canyon during this time. People were afraid of it, and considering it was haunted by those with many regrets, the paranormal activity happening was enough to justify their fear. The wounds she had gained near fully healed, and because of it, she couldn't leave her fountain at all due to the risk it posed. Or was it fear that held her back, her mind punishing her for all those failures?
The arrival of the imp preluded many things. It would be a lie to say she wasn't happy to see him, a reminder of much happier times that had slipped away nearly four hundred years prior, but that was a short-lived emotion. He shattered her body into smaller fragments and scattered them in Stone Tower Temple, sentencing her to a fate worse than death itself. In this state, she could not do anything except wait until her magic finally faded away, and with it, her life itself.
(After what she had done, she deserved nothing less than being utterly destroyed.)
The boy came, gathering the pieces of her and making her once again complete. The stories he told her about another world help to invigorate her once more, and with him came stories of how her sisters were doing. They, just like she, had been broken and restored, and the blessings they gave the youth were fitting. Kindness granted him a sword in return, and feeling lighter than she had in years, watched over him as he battled to save a realm not his own from the looming threat of the moon overhead.
His departure came as quickly as his arrival, and for the first time in nearly a millennia, she reunited with her siblings in Clock Town to watch the Carnival of Time together. By dawn they returned to their homes, knowing that their powers would wane too greatly if they were gone for an extended period, but it was enough. Small steps toward a better future.
Rise of a New Kingdom
The flow of time between Termina and Hyrule is not consistent. While centuries passed since the boy returned to his home, only two decades ticked by for her world. And what those years have been...
A boy who came from nothing took control of his whims and unified the land under one rule. When his conquest began, she'd be a liar if she believed him capable of doing it. But with every season that ticked by, from the moment the two of them first met by complete chance to the day she laid his crown upon his head, she began to believe. She believed in more than his dream of a unified Termina; she believed in him. Many nights were passed laying out under the stars speaking quietly of the gods and the gift of morality, and the choices made by mortals during their lifespans. She listened to it all without judgment, and more importantly for her, she found someone who did the same in turn.
Her injuries from the old war froze her in time. Were it not for that, she would have stood at his side and fought along with his men, showing her support for his conquest to not only her sisters, but the whole world. Neutrality had never been Kindness' strong point, you see, even more so when the boy - no, the man - she supported had the blood of the old kingdom flowing unknowingly through his veins.
At the age of thirty, he achieved so much. The once-dead canyon teemed with life, becoming a fertile valley once more, and not a day goes by where an offering is not made to her fountain. What greater changes will come in the years that have yet to pass? It is something she looks forward to seeing.
Who knows? Perhaps her dreams have a chance of coming true as well.

APPEARANCE
Head
Long, silvery white hair is often bound by braids and adorned with black and blue feathers around her head. Because of this it looks a great deal shorter than it is. When she lets her hair down, it ghosts down to her lower back in soft waves, slipping through fingers like thin pieces of silk. Her eyes, a deep purple that a person can practically drown in, betray the emotions she feels at any given time, and because of this, she's unable to offer up any mask in protection. With her skin free of scars and blemishes, she's almost unnaturally beautiful - quite befitting for a fae.
Body
Standing at five feet six inches, Kindness is of average height for a human woman. Her build is on the slender side of the spectrum, so much in fact that she used to be brought food on a regular basis by middle-aged women who insisted that she eat and fill her figure out more. But it isn't so much so that her bones show or anything; it's just that she's quite diminutive. Her bosom, while not as large as some others, is well-shaped and fair in proportion. On the other hand, her legs do seem quite long, and because of that, she enjoys wearing clothing that shows them off a bit.
Attire
For the most part her clothing does not change greatly. Either she can be found in a white one-piece accented by a golden band with a short skirt comprised of blue, purple, and black feathers, white boots that reach her thighs, and white fingerless gloves that travel to her elbows, or she is in a black dress with blue accents and a white underdress. It's been a long time since she merely wore vines in strategic places to cover her sensitive bits!

INVENTORY
WEAPON
Rank: Mundane
Type: Bow
Handling: Two handed
Description: This unimpressive bow pales in comparison to the spear she once wielded in war against the Garo. Still, it is better to have something than nothing, and in terms of protection, it gets the job done. Her aim is precise and the damage inflicted by this weapon can be fairly high depending on where the arrow pierces. That said, it is a longbow made of elm, and rapid fire is not possible in the slightest. To effectively use this bow she needs to have a fair amount of distance between her target and herself, or she's unlikely to get any hits in at all.
MAGIC
MAGIC TYPE: Healing
NAME: Fairy's Blessing
RANK: Uncommon
CLASS: Supportive
DURATION/COOLDOWN: 1 post duration | 1 post cooldown
DESCRIPTION: The blessing of a fairy is a great one. The most common effect it has is rejuvenation and restoration. Minor wounds can be healed with ease, but the more major the damage incurred is, the longer it takes to properly heal. At the cost of all her current gathered magic, she is capable to reviving a person from unconsciousness to full health. However, as one might expect, it in turn exhausts her completely, she is unable to do anything for the rest of the thread.
