For a few moments, there was silence. Her eyes merely lingered on the ground as she thought of how best to respond to his question. She was determined, full of willpower and certainly stubborn. There was nothing she would run away from once she set her mind to it, but explaining that to someone else was difficult.
"You know... your sister is inspiring. She knows what she wants, what she needs to do, and she does it. --I doubt she hesitated at the thought of her own well being when she did what she did," Annora said kneeling down on the ground in front of him, her hand still resting on his arm, "In a way, I wan't to be the same. I don't want to be a coward who can't face the trials and tribulations life has to offer."
Annora was always the type of person to feel a strong connection to people, even if she didn't know them well. She had spent much of her time growing up in her community. She had put forth effort, time, blood, sweat and tears into ensuring the happiness of her people, and now --her own happiness was staring her in the face.
"I know what I want..." she said in a soft voice, her cheeks red and warm with color, "Nothing you say can change that fact."
If it wasn't for him, she would be dead; there was not much else she wouldn't have the strength to endure.
Standing up, she planned on making a daring move. Her heart was racing, but she didn't stop as she paced over towards the bed a few meters away. Her head began to spin as she slowly unbuttoned her waist coat. 'He is a prince, what you are doing can get you killed!' 'What if he rejects you?' 'Are you good enough for him?' She was never this forward, but like she said, --Zelda's actions were inspiring.
Despite the amount of inner turmoil, she still stood there, a slight breeze licking at her skin. Looking back, her pale colored eyes met his, her gaze calling him.

Despite having asked her to accompany him, Artemis seemed rather nervous. She almost believed that he would instead back out on his offer, and her face grew solemn. Her smile faded, and brow perked up in confusion as she listened to him battle with himself. One thing was clear, his desire was strong, --but morals.
"We don't ha--" she started before his sudden declaration stopped her. Pulling on her hand, she blinked before following suit, abstaining from saying another word as they walked out of the camp. From there, they went into the Fairy Woods, which sparkled with flora and fauna, accompanied with flickering fairy's that dazzled in the foliage. It was a sight she had not ever seen before, regardless of living closer to Lynna City.
Encompassed with light from a hanging lantern, the two of them came across an interesting styled treehouse. It was something akin to a fantasy fort in books and stories she used to read. Her face lit up in excitement, finding the appearance of the quaint structure to be enticing to her lust for adventure. After climbing the ladder, she hoisted herself through the port entry and scanned the immediate area. It was more minimalist than the outside appearance, but she was not disappointing in any fashion.
Brushing any stray grass from her dress walked around the room, her pacing kicking up a bit of dust from the wooden flooring. "This is a perfect spot to get away from everyone. It's quiet, and yet you can still hear the sounds of the woods surrounding us."
Biting her lip, she stepped closer to the prince who sat at the table. Stopping just a foot shy, she gently placed her hand on his arm, nervous about how exactly to talk to him. "I will not presume to know anything about the strife and troubles you are facing, nor will I say that I understand how you feel... but I do not think you should be alone right now," she said softly, her voice filling the immediate area between them.

A weight wrapped itself around her hand, preventing her from taking another step, and drawing her gaze back towards him. The look in his eyes gave off the impression he was yearning; not wanting her to leave him. It was a glance that she gave often, as she never wanted to be alone either.
Slowly she tried to grasp what it was he asked, the implications of his desires lost on the naive girl. Annora did however, understand that he wanted to continue to be in her presence and that was enough to cause her stomach to knot and twist. "Oh!," she exclaimed, not wanting to outright say yes like a fool.
Her brain began to feel like mush as she quickly forgot her surroundings. Artemis was someone she looked up to with such admiration, she never would have considered having the opportunity to be so close to him. It was impossible to hide her excitement.
His hand still held onto her own, (which she cursed for being clammy in her anxiety), and Annora gave him a soft smile before nodding her head in agreement. "Do you umm-- have someplace in mind? My layout of the camp is still novice at best," she said, making note that any nook and cranny of the grounds were still up to be discovered.
All the while, she still continued to scream internally, and kept her gaze on him.

'One day you will meet your prince.'
Eyes widened at his response, taken aback by his regard for her lack of self worth. She was honored by his regards and her face warmed up, which she tried to hide with her cup. He brought back slight memories of her young life, when she was reading books in the library next to her mother's chair. The promises she made to her about her future. At her age, they were nothing more than a fleeting wish, especially now that Eleazar held her future between his pale decrepit fingers.
"I am sorry...It seems he has taken quite alot from us...." his sister and lover, her father and home, --when will it be enough? Her sacrifice was something he likely would not forget.
She wondered just who this woman was. Weren't most handmaiden's and servants to the royal family Sheikah? Was he interested in exotic women? Was that why his father never approved of his choice? Or was it because they were not noble? The amount of questions she had surrounding his previous love life grew expansive, and she found herself wanting to know more about what, or just who was his type.
"In no way does this make up for the terrible happenings you have suffered, but no longer are you bound to your father's wishes," she said, glancing away from Artemis, "By that, I mean, you are free to choose whoever you want to be with. That is, if another ever--," she stopped while she was ahead. Clearing her throat before standing up from the bench.
Her cheeks blazed with embarrassment and frustration as she earnestly had to keep herself from staring at him. His lean inset eyes were cold at a glance, but the color was brilliant and they glistened in the light of the fire. He had a short triangle shaped face, but it was outlined by his strong jawline that led up to his peaked ear's, iconic to his heritage as a Hylian. Combined with his tousled dark hair....
"I need to step outside, it's a tad warm in here and the tea is likely helping in that regard," she muttered before giving him a curt bow and heading for the exit. She didn't think about how rude it may have been to suddenly dismiss herself from the prince, but her face was beet red and she didn't understand why.

Lips pursed; she never understood how exactly being the goddess reborn made Zelda special in anyway, but she thought the two star crossed lovers was a romantic tale none the less. When she was younger, if she had any notion about finding her 'true love' her father would have spat out his tea and reminded her that she had a duty to uphold.
"I was told, that if I was to be arranged to marry, --it would be for the betterment of Symmetry City. Not so much our family alone. It's only the two of us since my mother died..." Her voice drifted as she remembered the single piece of her mother she had left, it's weight resting softly in the pocket of her dress, "My father's best interests were for the city alone, and before Eleazar took hold of it, we planned on making arrangements with King Perseus to aid in finding a suitor who would be able to help the town flourish even more. Not likely a prince, but maybe an engineer."
Her entire life had turned around since that day, and it was something she shared in common with many citizens of the isle. There was an evil that had it's hands around the world, and she quivered at the thought of how much worse it could get. "What about yourself? As the oldest I was sure your union to someone would have been arranged if only to secure an heir. Your father, may he rest in peace, must have loved you all if he sought your happiness in love, I wouldn't doubt it."

Listening intently, Annora showed slight emotion to his words. Parts of his story reminded her how much they were alike, rather than different. She always viewed royalty with some amount of admiration, without understanding that they were mortal as well. They had responsibilities, desires, and fears, --just the same as she did.
"I find it irresponsible that she chose love in the end....," she commented without thinking. Eyes widening as she realized how that may be reciprocated by the prince, "Not that I am accusing her of anything... It just goes against what I was taught, --where duty and honor came above personal needs."
There was not alot she had to give up in her younger years, but as she grew older, she soon found herself spending more time acting as a diplomat than a adolescent. She would have accepted any arranged marriages her father would have given her, if it meant more for her city.
Looking down at the liquid in her cup, her expression shifted into more of a solemn glance, memories of her father fading like her reflection. She had spent days crying over him, and there was no more room for sadness.

She smiled softly before wrapping her fingers around his offered arm, "Thank you for the sentiment," she said in response, staying off the fact that she wanted to say more on how tragedy can affect someone's mind. Instead she kept her mouth shut and walked the short distance to the kitchens.
The place was void of any other life, as most guards were either on duty or in bed at this hour, and the hearth glowed with a gentle fire that needed stoked. She worked fast; placing a log on the embers, filling a ceramic kettle with water and bringing a clay jar of herbs from the pantry.
All the while she was silent, unsure of what to try and say to the Prince. His presence was unsettling to say the least, as if he would randomly start yelling and kicking over the tables and stools. Annora didn't actually think he would behave in such a fashion, but her imagination ran wild when her anxiety boiled.
Setting two cups on the table she poured the steaming liquid before sitting down. Her hands wrapped around her cup as if someone were to try and take it away from her.
"Uh--," she started, noticing that she had no idea what to say and how rude it would be to try and start a conversation without a topic. "What was it like to live in the castle before, --well before your sister's coronation?" she asked, curious about life in castle town.

Her lip quivered, reaping what she sowed with her poor choice of words. Of course she couldn't bring his sister's back to the light, not that she intended to say she could. The urge to slap herself in the forehead surged, but instead she merely bit down on her bottom lip before attempting to redeem her character.
"I can't do anything for your sisters..." she started, her solemn tone indicating how sorry she felt, "but, -- my dad would always say that a cup of tea could go a long way." She finished, shrugging her shoulders slightly, hoping he understood that she was inviting him to share the warm beverage.
"Often when I was in tears over my mother, he would bring me a cup of chamomile...," she noted, hoping a reference would persuade the prince. In no way was she trying to overshadow the loss of his sister, and the absence of the other, but she too had recently lost someone in her life, and was too, --alone.
"Would you join me in the messhall? I can prepare some."
The messhall was the reconstructed building that stored a majority of the camp's rations, as well as housed meals for mostly everyone in the guild. Provided that the royal family took their meals in their tents, or in the command room, --which she was sure he had not eaten in some time as well.

She could practically feel the amount of tension in the air. Not that he held any animosity for her, but rather he was stressed beyond recognition. She could see it on his face, and hear it in his voice as he gave his replied to her sign of gratitude. It was a comment that if said in a different tone would be suave and heroic sounding; from him, it seemed as though she was a waste of energy, or a nuisance even.
Lips formed into a large O, realizing it may have been better had she not said anything at all, but he cleared up her interpretation into something more concrete. He had noticed her effort afterall, and it made her heart skip a beat, followed with a soft smile. "I only wish I could help more," she commented, noting that she had the desire to strengthen the heroes so that she may one day go home.
"Perhaps I could help YOU?" she said, empathizing that last word. "I know you are under a great deal of strain, --not to mention, with your sisters...." she started, realizing how insensitive it may be if she continued that sentence. Annora cleared her throat, her eyes widening at her own stupidity before trying to fix the situation, "By chance I just think you need a moments respite to clear your head."

First stepping into the camp gave Annora a feeling of relief. No longer was she Eleazar's prisoner that he could torment with reminder's her father's death. She was there when Prince Artemis, King Perseus and Gaelio Undine arrived to confront Eleazar and retrieve the princess. It presented an opportunity for her to leave as well, with granted permission from the tyrant himself. Her release granted him the satisfaction in knowing that she would continue to fear him for the rest of her life.
As soon as she was allowed within the gates, she was given a tent to stay in and allowed to clean up, but peace wouldn't last for long. Yelling ensued, and guards rushed up to the large construct up the path. The princess underwent some kind of ailment, and it wasn't long before the entire encampment knew.
King Perseus and his men left for Labrynna a day after the princess was placed in a pod. His doubt of her survival drove him mad, and that left Prince Artemis alone to tend the guild. Zelda's absence from the council left alot on his shoulders, and while she had the courage to stand up and help him, the heroes did not know Annora like the people of symmetry city did. She did not have the same influence here, and her help was likely not wanted. Instead, --she worked diligently in the medical tent, using was skills she was taught to help aide those that were injured or suffered some amount of pain.
How much time had passed exactly, she was unsure of. Here and there she would spy the Prince walking to and forth from the gates, and each time she tried to work up the bravery to say something to him.
It wasn't until the sun set one evening did she finally have the heart to walk up to the command tent, yet wanting to talk to Artemis was likely easier said than done. Not wanting to have to explain her reasoning to a posted guard, or get cold feet, she waited until he would leave before stepping up to the prince, her squeaky voice echoing in the awkward silence of the night.
"P-prince Artemis," she started, her hands cupped in front of her, with her eyes looking elsewhere, "I just-.. I just wanted to say thank you for rescuing me," she said, not thinking about how much the gesture of gratitude may confuse him. It was likely that he didn't even know she accompanied them back from Symmetry City.

How long had it been since she had fallen into the grasp of Eleazar and his posse? How long since her fathers blood had decorated the room and the ichor of her people stained the dirt of her home? The answer is too long, and while she had grown accustomed to her new treatment, she found herself being shipped off to play in one of the psycho's games.
Solemn head rested against her knees, her eyes closed as she shivered from the cool air. Her body was growing stiff, and her ass hurt the most from sitting in the same position for the past few hours. She listened intently, catching every stir of their keeper, and her breath kept pace with the drum of the monsters snoring in the lower depths of the tower. That was until the Zora witch slaughtered them. The likelihood that it was needed for entertainment was high, and Annora didn't blame her, --it just made her night all the more quiet.
That was, until a distinct sound echoed throughout the tower. Wood; splitting, crashing and falling.
Her gaze perked up, eyes opening into the darkness of their humble abode, and she crawled closer to the cell bars.
"Someone is here." She whispered to any that would listen. Someone, that was not meant to be here. Perhaps a savior who fell into El's baited trap? Oh how he enjoyed playing these games. It wasn't too long ago that he played a similar one right after he had taken over her home. She was not too keen on the details, she only knew that it involved a Hylian princess and that Eleazar got what he wanted in the end, as his mood was portrayed in that undeniable smirk he held for hours afterwards.
Getting an idea, she turned her body and began to kick at the bar's repetitively, hoping the loud tang of her boot would get their attention. Surely the sound could be carried farther than her shrilly screams for help.
Throughout life we are told that our lives are worth more then all the gold of the world. Sweet caressing words from our mothers that make us feel special compared to the next person. Yet few can actually tell you the feeling of being worth something; Being worth a lot, being worth a little. Perhaps their weight in gold? Some say they like the attention, others are saddened because they are worth less than the soles of your shoes. Annora is familiar with both spectrum's; as the second heir she was born with quite the amount of responsibilities, not enough influence, and high expectations. [break][break] Few years of studies, lessons, and etiquette passed by; Annora continuously pleasantly happy with her life. She was given everything she wanted, but never did she develop a sense of greed or desire as she never yearned. She had friends in the city, role models that she looked up to, and some that looked up to her. In a simple sentence; she had the perfect life. But when things go so well for so long, they are meant to com crushing down at some point. Her mother had grown sick, and only days after, died from an unknown illness. [break][break] Those in the city claimed her father poisoned his wife, but Annora knew that was not true, as no man would mourn so hard for a woman he killed himself. He cried, and was depressed for years, barely leaving his study and when he did, it was only to replenish the liquor he found himself guzzling down. He still governed the city appropriately, but Annora became the face of Symmetry City, and only at the age of fifteen. She held parties, and gatherings for their culture's holidays; she put together charity events for the orphans at the home, and she went out of her way to assist anyone that needed it. Quickly she became a highly regarded individual of the city. [break][break] At the age of seventeen she had been working close with her father in preparation for the time when she would become heir. Of course her father had no more children and looked to arrange her into a marriage to save their name. She had been spent talks with suitors, and been flourished in gifts, but she approved of none of them. It was a constant battle between her and her father, until, -- [break][break] Until the demise of Hyrule. [break][break] Even in Labrynna, it was devastating, and the impact of Hyrule's fall was enough to influence even Symmetry city. Trades between Castle town and the city ceased, and food production dwindled. The city needed it's heir even more. For three years, she dedicated time to restructuring the city to suffice for themselves, clearing some of the forest for growing wheat and fruit. All the while she wondered what happened of the royal family of Hyrule, whether they were killed or not. [break][break] In the most recent year, her father had left his study less and less, knowing he was a harbinger of bad news to his people. However he did not know that he would also bring death, the day of Eleazar and his men had captured the city, killing all of King Perseus's men and dispatching his own guards. Annora was taken into custody and forced to watch the gruesome scene of her father's throat running red.
Dagger: She keeps a dagger tucked into either her boot or in a holster around her outer thigh. Its blade is approximately eight inches in length with a two inch hilt. The design is rather ornate but not impractical, being the silver color of steel with a brass furnished tang and guard. It's rests in a matching sheath.
[break][break]
A decorative hairpin: This piece of jewelry was the last thing she received from her mother before she died. It holds alot of sentimental value and unbeknownst to Annora it has a piece that pulls off and is connected to a long thin barb. This sliver of metal has a housing built into the hair pin, and is coated in a residual toxin.
