It had been a few minutes, well maybe hours, Sky was not really counting, but her and Hono had finally arrived into the bustling city of Castle Town in the matter of no time, the two making idle chit chat along the road all the way to the main gate. Upon entering the two were greeted with the ever lively and loud town streets, even more so then Sky had read and heard about from other travelers... it was rather overwhelming to say the least, "I expected this, but at the same time didn't... well I guess a bit of shopping is in order first, got to restock on supplies".
She gave hono a slight smile before walking further down the main street, towards the water fountain that marked the middle of the entire town "Now we just need to find where the market is anyways, this place is much bigger then I expected it to be"?
Hono looked around the castle town busy as always it was busy, no matter what happened to the city it was always packed. Hono was very happy, she had always wanted to see castle town, though it could be in better shape. That didn't stop the Kokiri. As she and Sky looked around she wandered off a few times, but she returned to her companion often. "Sorry... I'm just so excited to see... I could do a little shopping!"
Hono told Sky taking her hand and ran ahead. Though she managed to get lost in a crowd with Sky. "uhh... I think it's up ahead!" She said looking at her, the little girl couldn't see out of the crowd and held Sky's hand tightly so she wouldn't get trampled in the crowds. "Sky just push through!" She said.
Sky could only smile slighly at the way Hono acted, even though she was most likely much older then herself, the fact Kokiri stay children meant they could only mature so much, their kid like attitude to things ever being a staying factor no matter how much knowledge they gained. "It is okay, I myself and excited to be here, even if I do carry myself in a more.. mature manner". It was more of a jest then actual statement, but the looks and words from onlookers at the small girl tugged Sky by the arm made her feel like some older sister allowing her younger sibling to take her on a trip to the market place, or some store they really wanted to see. "If you want I could carry you on my shoulders, it would be unfortunate for you to be trampled by the swarming crowd and would allow you a better view of the market area". She tried hard to suppress a small giggle that tried to escape her lips as she remarked the statement, Hono being rather cute, trying to push through the sea of adult legs.
Hono rubbed her neck as Sky replied to her statement with reinsurance. Her childish curiosity sure was showing. "What kind of stores are we going to...?" The Kokiri looked at the girl as a question escaped her mouth. "Oh, you shut it!" She growled as the girl joked around. The adolescent looking women's cheeks grew a hue of pink.
Forcing her way through the crowd was rather hard due to her small size. Soon making it next to Sky. "Hell no! I'm not getting on your shoulders! I'm not a baby!" She barked as she got flustered, quickly walking deeper into the heart of the city. The joke the girl made, had entertained Hono quite a bit, however, she wouldn't show that. Hono wanted to show off how mature she really was. Oh dear...
Sky placed a hand against her chin as she thought about the question Hono posed, “Well I, I mean we need more food stuff for travel, maybe tools and extra clothing, maybe visit some places while where here. The temple of Time and library, if there open are high on the list, lastly we will need to rent a room at the inn for tonight”. As they continued to walk Sky found it hard not to smile at the Kokiri reaction to both her comments, the girl or woman pulling a small hissy fit, likable to a person that looked her age.
“Hono wait, it was a joke, come back you will get lost in such a big crowd”. Sky pushed passed people as she followed the small girl further into the city, soon coming to a central water fountain in what appeared to be a town centre. “Great where has she run off to now”? Sky grumbled to herself, scanning the more dispersed crowd for the petite individual.
Sky could see the small Kokiri buying something from one of the stalls. The girl had a small pouch in which she stored away some of the rations she purchased. She managed to get some bread and meats for a cheap price, the shopkeeper was convinced Hono was a little kid. The clipped the pouch back onto her pants. "I got food for a few days figured out." The girl stated with a small smile. She walked over to the fountain and took a seat. Today wasn't the most crowded day.
As she sat the began looking at the supplies she had on hand, she was underprepared. Only food filled her bag. Since this was her first time out the forest she didn't know what to bring, Of course, food was the obvious thing to bring, as well as a few rupees. Hono relaxed as she saw a few kids (As big as her) running around and playing, a smile formed as she watched them.
Sky gave a small sigh watching the Kokiri get treated like a small child at the stall, though was kind of thankful for the food, but it did give the necromancer more ammunition to fire in line with the whole immature attitude Hono had. "Oh, so when I treat you like a kid your all angry and pouting, but if someone else does and you get discounted food, items and other things, it is totally fine". Her small tease also being edged on by the small kids running around, Hono looking as if she was about to jump in a join the fun.
Well perhaps the Kokiri was not all child, the massive axe on her back speaking something different, and more so with her wider vocabulary that no kid around (looking) her age would have, "well food is a good start but we best take care of sleeping arrangements and other stuff before we do much more shopping, don't want to be luging around a huge load of supplies and have nowhere to put them, am I right.
Hono simply glanced up at Sky. With a sigh, she soon got off the fountain looking up at her companion. "Ay, You shut it!" Hono pointed at her. The kids just played and played and played. Hono got up and looked at them, they looked at Hono then back at each other, as if asking her to play. The girl sighed and walked away from the children. She waved Sky over to her. "I guess we should get a room at the Inn..." The Kokiri spoke adjusting her heavy ax, pushing it back in place.
The girl pointed at an alley. "It could be down here!" She said snapping her fingers. She walked down the alley slowly. She pulled her ax around a twirled it, "Hurry it up!" she said commandingly while teasing. "Don't make chop your head off!" She joked placing her ax back into the holder on her back. She hoped her hunch about the location of the gym was correct.
For someone who insisted on not being treated like a child Hono sure liked to argue like one, again the Kokiri simply saying shut up in response to her little quip about duping store owners. ‘So immature’, Sky thought to herself as Hono walked closer, ignoring the children, “Ahem, yes it would b- hey where are you going”? Before Sky could come up with a likely place to search for the town inn the youthful woman had already voiced a rather silly idea.
Sky reached out her hand to try and stop the Kokiri from running down the alley way, though being the first time in Hyrule castle town knowing full well from other cities that alleys where bad news. ‘SO IMATURE’ the necromancer yelling in her mind, rushing after the axe flailing kid, “slow down Hono, it could be dangerous down there”!
The Koiri had ignored the necromancer. With a few steps, she was now in the alley. It appeared to be a bit run down. "Hurry it up Sky!" she said teasingly. A few odd men eyed the Kokiri. The girl began to shiver a little. The alley didn't have much light so it was a little dark. The Kokiri was careful not to venture any deeper. She simply waited for her companion.
She'd feel a lot safer with Sky. "Fine fine! Hurry it! This is creeping me out!" She shouted back. She held her ax close feeling rather scared. "This sucks..." She thought quietly, shivering. She walked a bit to the exit of the alley in hopes to arrive at Sky sooner.
Sky only looked on with a worried expression as the carefree child wandered down the alley way, though she may have been able to handle herself in combat the necromancer did not want to take a chance. "I'm coming, I'm coming, hold your horses", She replied, feet stamping against the cold run down stone floor, the run down part of town casting an eerie atmosphere all around... not that it really affected her. Sky had become very used to scary places, spending nights in grave yards perfecting her magic as well as sleeping in cave/ruin and smaller town alleys.
The Kokiri seemed to take head of her words, slwolying down a bit, Sky catching up with the small woman as they made there way to the exit, arriving on the other side of town, beheld to the local Inn of all places, standing right in front of the duo. "Well was not expecting that, and also do not go running off like that again, what would happen if you where mugged"? The city was a dangerous place for even an experienced traveler like herself, what more so for a Kokiri.
Hono rolled her eyes as Sky told her to hold her horses. "Oh, you shut up!" Hono pointed then quickly crossing her arms. Once Sky managed to catch up with the Kokiri, Hono quickly hugged the girl's legs. "Let's just get to the inn!" She broke away embarrassed by her own actions. A few of the people in the alley looked at the Kokiri some more, they wondered why a child would wander down here.
"Don't tell me what to do!" Hono barked at her, her facial expression forming into a frown. "It's not like I have much on me..." she whispered to her self. "I need some sleep," She said to Sky. The Kokiri cracked her knuckles and stretched out a little bit. "The room's on you~," She said winking, messing with her a little bit. As she looked at the Inn it made her shiver, she had always wanted to stay at an Inn, so this would be interesting for sure.
Sky gave a sigh as she finally caught up to the girl, which then changed to embarrassment with the sudden leg hug. “Yes, yes, I know don’t get your pants in a twist”, mature in year but not in mind it seemed. “Even if you don’t have much on you people can be desperate”, and that was among other things, like slaver and certain people that would do certain ‘things’ to a young girl.
“When we get inside you can sleep all you want, have a little nap and all”, again just like a child, seems the kokiri had their, sudden bursts of energy then be out of it. Looking again to Hono as she teased her about paying for the room, “I guess I can, not like a child would have enough money for a room anyways”, she cackled pushing through the front door.
Coming inside the two where hit with the smell of food and drink, probably being new to Hono, well hopefully, "Ahh customers, what can I get for you today", the man behind the counter remarked. "A room for two please if that is okay, we will be paying TOGETHER, won't we Hono"? The man gave a little laugh at her comment "what your little sister an cheap scape, don't blame her could probably get away with a lot of things with a cute face like
Hono rolled her eyes once again as she was now silent. She followed Sky walking to the counter. She looked up at her companion. Crossing her arms quickly as she listens to Sky request a room. With a soft yawn, she was ready to get into bed. "Yeah... I don't have a lot of money..." She told Sky teasing her trying to get a free room. Despite that, Hono wouldn't allow Sky to pay for the room herself.
"A sister," She said quietly before nodding. "Yeah... Sissy always makes me pay for stuff..." she told the owner wrapping her arms around Sky's legs acting like a child. " I love her though" She played along, since being a Kokiri would probably cause some unwanted attention. She blushed hearing him call her 'cute', "You watch it old man!" She barked dropping the kid like persona for a moment. She was soon distracted by new smells. Unfamiliar foods really made her wonder what they tasted like.
Sky gave the young girl a slight stick eye at her comment, "you do remember that I saw you buying food earlier today? or do you have memory problems of sort"? If she was going to be the one paying for their rooms then Hono could be in charge of buying all their food, "and I do not make pa-he-hey". Once again the contradictory nature of the small girl made Sky roll her eyes and let out a small sigh, 'yes quite the cheapscape'. Well it was not like they were floating in rupies anything to cut corners.
Of course that did not last long, Hono almost immediately snapping at the inn keeper at his comment, making Sky facepalm allowing the small girl to run of for the time being. "Um, sorry about that, lets just say she tries to act mature but, well she is a kid and can't help it, so how much where the rooms again"? she replied shuffling through her bag. "Usually 20 rupies for a room but if your going to be sharing a bed and all I can give it to you for 10, nice little treat for your sister". Sky peaked her head up surprise, thinking the ruse was broke, but more then glad, "Ah, well thank you, I best go get her before she does anything silly". Paying for the night the young necromancer quickly follow the Kokiri into the tavern area of the in, "Hono, please stop wandering off by yourself all the time, are you that hungry"?
