"A valiant counterattack!"
"But not without a Crucial flaw."
It was as Hollow had expected, she was able to tell where she was in the mist, the plant life coursing through the ground to entangle her. With a soft cry, she found herself tripped by the plant, head bending a little awkwardly as she hit the ground. Before she could stand, however, she felt the rush of movement, and was jerked in the way of the trees, tumbling out of her mist.
She pushed herself to stand, wincing at the tenseness in her shoulder, but she focused instead on the battle. And as she did, she caught sight of a purple streak, diving into the mist she had created, disappearing among it like a shade in a foggy forest. As her fairy hid among the mist, she grabbed her bow where she had dropped it, and stretched her neck, pulling the muscles against her taut arm to loosen it up.
One plant creature, and one priestess. That's what she had to deal with at the moment. Fire seemed their best bet, and the Twili had already taken advantage of that, but they would need more. Her defenses were down, but she was still in control of the plant life nearby. The fire had burned a path, but it would be expected.
What was a mere mortal to the gift of a goddess?
If she couldn't approach, she would assault. Swiftly, she climbed up the nearby tree, out of range of the priestess' previous assault, and stood high upon one of its branches. Energy like moonlight danced along her fingers as she drew an arrow to her cheek, and in a breath she loosed the arrow, arcing high, but descending above the priestess, coming down towards her.
And as it did, a purple streak burst from the mist, charging the now-vulnerable offender, teeth bared as he barreled towards her. Hollow's eyes went wide, and three more arrows, shimmering like the void, appeared. They were fired one after the other, as Blight went for his strike. She couldn't let her focus on her friend.
"You fool! What does this accomplish!"
"We have the advantage of numbers! Take advantage of it!"

Artemis moved swiftly, but a foot suddenly caught in the grappled vines. Immediately, he flung forward as though his face would slam against the dirt, but he was caught back into an upright position as the vines twirled over his body, constricting him and making it harder to breathe.
He thought he may be caught near the end of his days, and his eyes closed tightly as he tried to barrel his strength into each plant that curled into him. How much strength did these things have??
But as the priestess dodged the fiery earth below, she dejected herself from the base of the plant-like vortex around her, and the vines became loose. Becoming topheavy, he was slammed back in force and his head was knocked into a treetrunk.
He nearly felt his jaw fall off. The pain caught him in waves, becoming dizzy and disoriented, however before he had time to react, the warmth of a woman's touch soothed the base of his neck, and he hoped to god the healing worked.
"I-It's fine. I'll be fine. Thank you though," he caught out in a heavy breath. He observed the behavior of the priestess carefully, and how she was reacting to the fire. Now the Twili woman was projecting flaming arrows, while the skull child did the same motions.
Why was nothing moving anymore? Other than the sentient smaller plant... and it hit him. But was it true? He had to find out. The acid was growing closer and closer to the surface, and he nodded to Sappho's words of getting to higher ground. "Let's make our move! I have an idea."
Turning quickly, he drew himself up the side of a hilly ascent. The priestess wasn't too far from the ground, but it was enough for her to lose grasp of the earth... he thought.
"It appears that she cannot control the plants unless she is grounded! Keep her in the air and assault her with your projectiles!" he shouted to the others around them. He had no weapons of range on him, and therefore he wouldn't be much help. But...
"Milady, if you could... keep an eye on where she tries to replant herself. We must keep the fires in her vacinity."

She stayed afloat, minding those whom were slowly pushing her off from her plans. They were starting to annoy her, and while they were doing more harm to the forest than she was for the time being, it wasn't quite in the way she had hoped.
She had to try and ignore them for now. Find somewhere better to get away from them and continue her work--
Just as she was finishing her thought, she felt the flames of arrows singe at her backside and she let out a horrendous shreik. She spun in motion for a few seconds to allow the flames to dissipate before immediately turning and looking for the opponent.
On the floor, her remaining plant creature was unharmed by the poisonous bog that was slowly overcoming the lower ground of the forest. It continued to move toward the closest targets - Artemis and Sappho. No one seemed to pay it any mind - at least - not enough to try and kill it.
Perhaps they should have payed a bit more attention. For if they did, they would have noticed that the creature now came to a halt, planting itself into the poisonous mud and opening its petals to reveal more spores.
Princess Vanna came around the corner as she was halting from her success of arrows, but if she stays for too long, the spores will slowly poison.
[@sqwhirl THROAT CLOSING, MINOR]
Losing sight of the twili girl, the priestess turned back to see new attackers in view. The prince and his sorceress friend, and the skull child and its fairy. Arrows came barreling in her direction, but she quickly menouvered out of the way as she eyed the projectiles that came forth.
Left. Right. Up. Down. It was a miss. She'd move closer. Was that a fairy coming at her?
She smirked as she ascended further into the sky before diving toward the trees once more. From the surfect, vines flung up to connect her once more to the earth--more fire arrows. It burned the vines in her line of sight.
Now she was angry.
Letting out a mighty roar, it shook the earth as birds scattered from the trees. The thick smoke of the fire blow, mixed with the toxic ash and spores was making the terrain uninhabitable. The misfits would need to relocate soon before they are overtaken by the poisonous gases.
The priestess wasn't done yet though. Despite the defenders' need to evacuate the immediate area, Rhean had other plans for the one who began shouting orders to the others. The one who appeared of nobility. "I recognize that aura. You're one of the little one's children?" she tilted her head curiously before bolting in his direction.
It was abrupt. It was without warning. But before anyone was able to react, Rhean slammed into the boy with all the force within her being, sending him back against a tree and the impact breaking the trunk in half.
Her hand was clutching into his chest, her eyes lighting up with joy as she watched him riggle for his life. Slowly, she began sucking the life from his body, just as she did with the vegetation around her.
great shudder ran along the tree that Sappho had perched, rather slouched, on as the body of the prince was forced into the hard bark, accompanied by a distinct crack and an unholy laughter from the mouth of the priestess. Looking down, Sappho had to put down the bile rising in her throat as she saw the terrible sight of her broken lord, and averted her gaze in order to allow her to focus her attention on dealing with the problem at hand. Closing her eyes, she attempted to remove any worries that she held about him, all the sounds of pain and agony from below fading away to nothing within her head, and instead a single word assumed the entirety of her mind.
‘BURN.’
All of her thoughts centred on this one word, feeding it ever more power as she associated all of her experience with it. Her rage at the Gods above who had failed to save this land, and now had turned against them, it turned into a flame. Her regrets towards her friends who had passed away without ever hearing her apologies, it turned into a flame. Her love for both her previous families and her own country, it turned into a flame.
‘BURN.’
These flames intertwined with one another within her mind as her conflicting emotions each combined with one another, the clashes of these opposing ideas stoking the ever-growing fire that burned within her mind. It took all that she had to contain them within herself, and an even greater power to bend them to her will as she united all of her thoughts against a single figure. Her eyes opened to reveal blood red flames and she spoke with a voice of pure vehemence, the negative emotions of six centuries being released in it,
‘O great fires of my soul, I call upon my entire being to purge this current sin that lies in front of me. May these flames cauterise the wound of hypocrisy that this fool of the Goddesses has presented to me, for no divine power can judge it as otherwise. Therefore, I punish you in this way: you shall burn.’
In response, the dying flames that covered the ground below reignited with new vigour, twisting together to form a construct that represented all of Sappho’s negative emotion; that of a snake. A snake whose slit eyes lit up with a blood red flame and whose body leapt towards the figure of the priestess, producing an updraft that spurred it on and stoked the fires. Gazing upon her creation, Sappho let out a weak laugh before her eyes closed once again, unable to sustain her stamina for any longer, her body slumping down once again upon her high branch.
She was two for two in these dying woods as she found herself successful in yet another assault. Her fingers itching to let loose on this wooden heathen once more as she clung to the tree, dispersing her extra energy into the wood as she looked to settle herself. Quelling her excitement would definitely become ideal as to not harm her ability to track and fire upon her target. Her excited state made it much more apparent when she felt as though she had began to choke. Her breathing became harder as she noticed the cloud of spores that began to engulf her.
Poison? What a foul trick. Her integrity did not place her above the use of such underhanded tactics, however she was more upset this lady employed them before herself. Attempts on her life via poison were not rare, that in no way meant they were welcome however. Slipping ever closer into a coughing fit she found herself eyeing yet another branch above herself, reaching with a dark hand she would grip the nearest branch and pull herself towards the aching tree. Mid-air a faint snap would befall her as the branch would break. Despair gripping her tiny frame as she flew a small distance forward before crashing into the dried grass. She wasn't hurt, but she was left a bit dazed as she stood slowly, her vision coming back into focus slowly as the lady darted away from her towards another.
Thank Majora.
Her legs wobbled, she was clear of the smog but she was not completely safe. The trees were not the allies they once were, she needed to get higher away from it all. Looking about her eyes fell onto the source of the spores, the blooming flower the other group had neglected. A monster turned monstrosity as she aligned her bow, regaining her composure through steady breathing. It was not the same, she felt as if her tonsils had swollen but this would not impair her too much, not short term anyway. She wasn't sure if she'd be too late, but unleashing three shots towards the plant creature she hoped she would be able to sever something that produced the spores if she could not kill the plant.
Her breathing was still a bit heavy, her chest moving visibly as she breathed and looked towards the action once more. She was still lost in the combat. The black hands wiggled as they reached out, wrapping around the trunk of a tree instead of the branch whilst dying they'd surely tougher than a single branch, for now, she would search for higher ground. An archer's favorite abode.

"The very fabric of nature betrays us."
"This bastardization of our home stops now. We purify the corrupt with flame."
The pieces were falling from their hands, slipping through the cracks, and Hollow acknowledged that there wouldn't be much more time to act. The poison was spreading, and soon would overtake them. With a curse, she tore some fabric from her tunic, lifting her mask to cover her mouth and nose with it. It wouldn't do much in the long run, but she intended to end this fight somehow, and fast.
And then the priestess rushed the prince, crashing him against a tree, and something clicked. She watched the delight in the priestess' eyes as she began to drain the life from Artemis, and looked up to her partner, who was growling and turning around to make another charge at Rhean.
Hold, Blight! Use the fire!
Slowly, he looked around, realizing what was going on, before diving down to the tree Hollow stood upon. He broke off a branch in his jaw, flying away, and flew close to the construct of fire Sappho called forth. The branch ignited in the blaze, and he was sure to ascend, wary of the poison. Any vines in his sight, he held the burning branch to them until they ignited, weaving about so he was harder to hit, until the stick was burnt down too much, and he dropped it, backing off as Hollow pushed forward, on Artemis' position. She was biting down on her rag, breath held, eyes trained on the priestess. She had to cover all the options of escape. Two arrows flew in the blink of an eye, both in the direction of Rhean. Knowing how she reacted before, Hollow aimed the third one in the span of a breath, not at the priestess, but behind her and upwards, the direction she would logically dodge.
And then, she took a breath, coughing, and ran outwards, for the nearest live tree. She spat the rag out, and lifted her mask briefly to breathe clean air, not waiting to see the results of her attack

He couldn't breathe. He felt incredibly sick, and almost on cue, he vomited from the pain and the impact against the tree. He felt his life slowly slip away as the priestess drained his energy. Her touch was divine - a warmth that froze his heart. It didn't make sense. He could barely comprehend it.
He tried to fight, forgetting the pain as best as he could, but he couldn't move himself from her weight. Perhaps the priestess would pay him no mind now that he was sufficiently injured. The flames engulfed the world below, and she would need to dodge when the beast jumped from the fire. He ducked down, slipping from the branches of her fingers and groaned in pain loudly.
Then, he pulled onto his sword tightly, closing his eyes and focusing his energy.
"Willbreaker... my power is yours," he murmured quietly, eyes opening carefully as his sword was then engulfed by a powerful brightness. Raising his hands high over his head, the feeling of his rib suddenly sharpened as he tried to overcome it. Just a little further.
He had to pretend that this wouldn't hurt like hell.
Slamming his hands forward, a vibrant force of light was projected toward the priestess, aiming to cut at her in any way it saw fit.
NOTE: the cycle restarts. You did it guys! Please make one last exit post so we can finish this thread.
Despite the annoyance of not being able to do what she was summoned for... these mere mortals did an excellent job of destroying the forest for her, she supposed. She took in the divine blood of the prince, immediately taking note of his heritage. It tasted so good. So divine.
But she missed it.
She missed the creature which was born of the flames that now lept out of nowhere. What was it? Where did it come from.
She gasped in suprise, trying to dodge, but the flames caught her lower half, singing at the vines that draped over her flesh. She let out a scream in horror.
Distracted by this, she found it hard to pay attention to the others, trying her hardest to put out the flames that formed. She was then met with the fiery charge of Blight, and her entire body ignited as the flames caught the ground surrounding her.
Another scream in horror.
Letting out a shuttered breath, she looked back to Artemis, ready to kill him in one foul swoop, before she was then met with his magical blade.
She caught in the air and went silent, eyes wide and draining of life.
Her skin melted to ash, and suddenly she imploded, becoming dust that blew away in the updraft of the flames.
Her whisper remained for a moment, fading into the void as it whispered to each of the adventurers.
Hollow, Blight, and Hellson would understand.
Shimmering glitter blessed each of the five, a new voice coming into play.
