shining bright she is like the sun, waiting there for her fate to come
To her surprise, both Hono, and this newcomer -- Emil, were rather complacent with their guild taking up residence close by. On top of that, Hono was so sure that joining the Heroes was a right idea for her, and Emil did little to argue against it. Instead they had further questions or were making assumptions about the status of the guild.
Perhaps if they knew what they really did.
"You guys have no idea what's going on outside this forest do you?"Kura rubbed the back of her head as she nervously looked back and forth from the Kokiri.
"Listen, I am sure there is alot you need to know about Hyrule and just what it is that our guild does.... Oh but don't worry! We aren't bandits or robbers or nothing bad like that!" she said, suddenly realizing just how bad it all started to sound. "Gah just come in first and I'll explain there." Kura barked before walking towards the ruins on the distance.
For the most part, the ruins were nothing more than that, but once you walked farther into where the castle was, the area burst to life. There were tents, makeshift stables, and other oddities. A couple of fires always burned and there were a few people walking about. None of them were Mal, or Garrett.... and their absence only made her worry about her upcoming lecture on safety.
Kura stopped just outside the innermost of the ruined castle, taking a seat on a cut log next to a small fire. It was the day time, so the heat wasn't necessary, but they were kept low for precaution. She sighed and folded her arms, "Okay, so we are called the Heroes of Hyrule for just that. We are trying to help people... specifically those in Castle Town and Hyrule... I am-..." she paused, eyeing the two of them, "Just how much do you know about any recent events in the kingdom?" she asked blatantly. If they rarely left the forest, or talked to outsiders.... it was likely that they had no idea what has happened in the last decade or so. Ignorance truly is bliss after all.

The seasons always find a way to change
Barefeet transitioned from wood to scorching sand as Kura stepped off the boat and onto the golden shore. Blue eyes gazed up at the cloudless sky and followed with a large grin. They were all here, on Crescent Island, intending to stay as some sort of vacation. It was Asthar's idea, and this was the perfect spot, away from the spies and eyes of the Rogue Order and provided enough safety that they could relax together. There was quite a distance of sea between them and the mainland, and it was easily accessible from both Holodrum and Labrynna. There was little information that Asthar presented to them, only giving them detail that he had a private home on the Island, away from the Tokay established villages.
Either way, the young princess was more than eager. Not only was it to be her, and her retainer invited, but King Perseus as well. Along with their personal attendants, it was going to make for quite the crowd. She was personally looking forward to exploring the island and spending time with Perseus, and to Garrett's displeasure, she wanted to bring quite the amount of stuff; but that was all because of King Asthar's discretion of the events that were to follow in this excursion.
So quickly following their arrival, Kura immediately turned to the water, lifting her light colored dress skirt to let her feet touch the much colder water. The princess grinned and spun on her heel to glance at her retainer that should have been unloading their things from the boat. It was not a long trip from the borders of the mainland, merely a day and a half -- it was getting to the border that was the long trip. Its nearly a week just from the ruins to Horon City, and another day to Sunken City where they were escorted by the Zoran Prince Gael on his vessel. Apparently he owed Asthar, and in the end it all worked out, though he could not stay as he had other matters to attend to back home.
"Hurry up! I want to see the place we are supposed to be staying in!" she playfully said while running up to grab what small bag she could.

"I um suppose you can meet them... they will probably be surprised, I doubt that many of them have meet another Kokiri," she said thinking just about how well the interaction between Garrett and her will go. 'Probably better than her and Mal or Zelda' she thought before pushing her hair behind her ears in an exhausted sigh. It was pleasing to hear that they were close and Kura smiled brightly to see the Ruins just ahead. Life seemed to spark back into her and she clasped her hands in front of her in happiness. Suddenly a voice behind them had got her attention, except it was not so much behind, but rather above. Kura glanced to see another small Kokiri flying through the air and her eyes grew wide. 'Flying?' "AH! Yes I am sorry if I disturbed you or caused any trouble! It's just that I was lost and Hono here was nice enough to lead me back home. AH! not that I live here, well I technically do but it's because im not allowed back in the castle and--" she stopped suddenly feeling like she has started to say to much in her frantic panic over Emil showing up. "I really hope I haven't caused you any trouble Hono.." she said looking between the small girl and boy. She was curious as to why he was so concerned with Hono, but figured that it was probably due to the Deku Tree -- the guardian that she had no idea about in the slightest.
"I mean... if you both are coming, I suppose I need to explain why we live in the Ruin's huh..." she said rubbing the back of her head and looking down at the two of them. "To be honest, it's the guild hall for the Heroes of Hyrule... not that you heard of them... we are just a group of people that are trying to protect the people you know?... Not that I can do that... I can barely get through the forest without getting lost!"

Kura was actually unsure how to answer the inquisitive Kokiri as they gradually walked through the forest. She bit on her bottom lip and rubbed the back of her head as she hesitated, "Yeah I guess you can say that. My friends and I actually live there. We can't like in the city," she said, trying not to give as much information to the stranger. Kura had a bad habit of being too optimistic with people, and after hearing it from Garrett so many times, she tried her best not to openly tell EVERYONE her life's story.
However it was interesting to listen to this girl display her animosity towards the Deku Tree. Wasn't that supposed to be their guardian figure? At least that is what they were taught in the old legends. Speaking of legends, Kura peaked up and made sure to walk close to the girl, "Do you have a fairy? Arn't all Kokiri supposed to have one? I mean-- that is what we are told in the stories, but that can be wrong as well...."
Fading off she looked away with an awkward,"So you want to leave the forest...Why haven't you? Where would you go?" she asked, thinking about her own plans to hopefully leave and live in Lynna city with Perseus. She has duties however, but they promised each other once all the fighting was over that they would be together finally.
His touch was soft against her cheeks. Fingers gently grazing over her skin as she looked up at him, and her face flushing in embarrassment. He was so close, enough that she could just step forward and collide with him. Her eyes shimmered in the light reflected by the crystals, and for just a moment, -- she was speechless. There was alot that she wanted to say, but found herself unable to get past the lump that grew in her throat, and soon enough her eyes welled up and a tear streaked down her cheek.
Kura slowly closed her eyes and grinned, unable to understand why it was that she was crying. She was actually really happy! Her heart was going a mile a minute and she found it hard to settle herself while standing so close to him. So she responded with a nod and used the back of her palm to wipe her tears. "Perseus... that would make me very happy," she responded before a little sniff, "I promise. When all of this is over," she hesitated. Not knowing quite WHEN all of it would be over.
"When Zelda finds a way to rescue the Hero, as we can restore peace to Hyrule. I will come back.... and we --," she stopped, a bit nervous to say anything further. She looked away from Percy's eyes and shifted her weight a little in her uneasiness.
"I'm sure you know how I feel about you... I've never been very good at hiding things... Arty says I am a terrible liar." she said softly, hoping that he too felt the same and that he wasn't just doing it because she wanted it. Truly she aimed for his happiness as well, even if that was not with her. "Please tell me...," she spoke softly, clenching her fingers together in a small fist, "Does this mean you... u-um.. feel something for me?"
'This must be a dream... I must have fallen off the cliff and died.' She thought to herself.

Raising an eyebrow, the princess eyed the young looking girl as she agreed to take the book. Though she would be sad to lose such a good piece of literature, Kura had plenty more back at the ruined castle, and she nearly had that one memorized by now. So even reluctantly, she followed behind the Kokiri as she glanced around the area. It seemed like this was their village within the lost woods, and she thought back to the stories about the Hero and how he grew up here. It was an amusing thought and she smiled softly to herself. "Wait 800?!" Kura gasped and blinked at the young looking girl. 'I guess they really are immortal...' she thought as she rubbed the back of her head and looked at the other Kokiri that popped out to observe the two of them. "Yeah 100 is kinda the longest we live...though even that is uncommon due to illness and such." There are other causes of course, but living to 100 was no easy feat in itself. Even her own mother died at a very young age due to child birth.
"It's nice to meet you Hono, My name is Kura." she responded cheerfully, "Fifteen minutes sounds alot closer than what I was fearing. Thank you very much. " Grateful for the short walk there, Kura thought that it would be easy to pass off simply arriving late and not get scolded by Garrett for not know her way around the forest very well.
"So is it true that if you leave the forest that you will die?" A crude question, but Kura was never one to hold back. She was curious, and an honest person -- her two most redeeming traits. On the other hand she was clumsy and quite forgetful, which are two that her friends never let her live down.

shining bright she is like the sun, waiting there for her fate to come
Though the princess tried not to show it... she was scared. She knew that the temples were not to be underestimated; there have been many adventurers who thought they could get rich from the history that was lost within the depths of the stone walls. Each man nothing more than a name in some record book now, and a memory to the ones that loved them.
Kura was silent as she stood at the entrance, waiting for Garrett to catch up to her before they faced what was inside together. Her brows were furrowed, eyes unwavering and an aura of determination radiated from the young woman. In her mind, she recollected on her retainers argument, and didn't dare to look at him before she tried to forcefully push aside the stone slab that sealed the door. 'The various heroes of the past could do these alone, but he has like... twice the strength and wits of a normal person.''... but he was still a man..'
The door wouldn't move. Time itself acting like a barrier to the temple as the weight of the stone, paired with the elements, oxidized a seal. They were going to have to push harder for it to even move enough for an opening inside. Kura grit her teeth, and bared her shoulder against it; her tiny frame versus a meter tall stone door, was not an impressive sight to say the least. 'I mean, when the gods forged a hero, they made him spectacular for a reason. No common person could undertake such a task.' 'Did the god's not make us as well?' ' And despite your lineage, it isn't comparable.' 'His blood.... is my lineage too'
She strained against the impregnable ward; where one man might have given up and tried a different route, or went home in defeat, she still struggled. Delicate fingers formed into a fist and fell flesh on the surface of the stone, a soft thud echoing each time as she hit the rock over and over, muttering to herself, "All my life... I have ran away all my life, and hid when things got hard. I've been told that there are things I can't do -- because im weak, and because im frail. When my father, the King died... when my sister died! I only ran away and hid in my room."
Wet sky blue eyes raised to rest on her retainers. Streaks of tears trailed across her red cheeks, but she still wore that stubborn face, "I done pushing people away, and I'm done hiding. I won't sit and wait any longer for my sister to take care of things. I want to learn, and I want to get stronger. I-I... I can-n fight too."
Her declaration was short, and quickly followed by her pacing back to the tree line and surveying it for the largest, and most sturdy looking tree branch she could see. Kura grabbed it and slowly made her way back to the door, where she meticulously positioned the end of the wooden branch to fit in the crevice of the sealed door. "Garrett I have yet to apologize to you.... four years ago... after the coronation. You tried. I heard you... I want to say I am sorry. I was not myself, and it affected you too."
After the branch was held in the corner, pocketed by a fallen rock, she wiped her brow and leaned on it. Using what weight she had to try and pry apart the door. "I also want to promise you; I will never be like that again. I felt so helpless, and I hated it. So instead, I want to face everything with courage. I don't care if I am not the Hero, or particularly strong, or skilled. Because I am still a Princess of Hyrule, and I was born to aid my sister, and my kingdom."
Call it what you will --Willpower, Divine Intervention, Luck, Plot Power; but that damn door opened, leaving the princess grinning brightly like a child on their birthday. She wasted no time, sighing in relief and slipping through the cavity that was big enough for a man to squeeze by. Entering the unknown temple in search of gods know what, she placed her hands on her hips and inhaled. Maybe she already found what she was truly looking for. Or maybe there was more to it than that.
She felt weightless in his arms; her eyes fluttering open to gaze upon his as she realized that he did actually catch her. She giggled in return, and smiled before nodding her head slightly in response,"Of course, I trusted you to."
He released her, and took her hand, so she was able to look at the cave which he eagerly wanted to lead her into. Normally she wouldn't be wearing a dress to go exploring, however given the lack of warning, she would just have to apologize to Garrett later for making him go through the effort of buying it. Yet that thought still didn't push away the guilt she felt when the caverns walls brushed against the fabric. "I understand, I really wasn't allowed to leave the castle as well... though my safe spot is not nearly as hidden..." she remarked, thinking back to the cubby in the servants headquarters that she used to hide in for hours at a time.
Then her eyes set upon one of the most beautiful sights she had seen in her entire life. A view of forest, the mountain, and the rushing waterfall -- whose clean scent lingered into her nose even now. Dancing lights dotted the horizon, flying through the air and Kura was silent with an awestruck expression. She turned to Perseus with the brightest smile, "It's all so beautiful!" she exclaimed, still embarrassed about her poor effort to match his hiding spot. "Mostly I just used mine as a way to hide from the servants that tried to make me do my studies."
She snickered and continued to smile, "Everything is just so beautiful. The city, the people -- this place. I don't ever want to leave," she hesitated,"but then I suppose that would leave my sister alone to face off against the Rogue Order." she commented softly, turning away to gaze at the scene around them.
"You know I cannot remember a time when I was truly happy, all I have are painful memories and nights filled with dread where I was too scared to even sleep," she said as the corners of her mouth lifted into a smile, "But tonight, I forgot all about that and for once in a long time I was happy. For that, I cannot thank you enough My King."
Letting her hands fold in front of her body, she sighed before blushing softly,"I suppose we should umm... -head back. I am sure Garrett's got to be having a heart attack. But I... I'd like to stay here a little big longer.. with you that is," she sputtered out, looking at her hands in her embarrassment. There was nothing more in the world she wanted, to be alone with Perseus, but damn if she knew what to say or do.
'I must look like an idiot!'
"I-I am sorry, of course it's whatever you want My Lord-uh King."

In the back of her mind, she knew that she was in for some less than satisfied feedback from Garrett, her most trusted and loyal 'friend', as they progressed through the dangers of the forest, and where he so bravely fought for her safety -- no for real that spider was huge! So immediately when he expressed his lack of enthusiasm for her idea, she huffed and stood to meet him, furrowing her eyebrows and staring down the tall beast of a man. Though her short stature, being that she was only 4 foot ten inches high, was not so impressive. "Garrett please! Doesn't it all sound exciting?!"
That was when he pointed out Mal, whom she had not even noticed prior.
'Oh boy'
She had a faint idea that Garrett didn't quite care for Mal skulking around. They had a similar relationship compared to Zelda and herself. It wasn't distrust, or hatred... more like a strong rivalry! Either way, Kura bit on her bottom lip and looked away with a cheeky grin "Haha yeah bout him..." -- And then Malikeith started in.
'Goddesses they agree on something for once...'
Looking away Kura clicked the heel of her boot into the dirt and hesitated, "No she doesn't know... but come on guys! I want to help my sister. She is there, at the hideout, scouring over tomes, and letters, looking for someway to bring back the Hero. Now this is just a hunch, but there may be something in there," she said pointing to the temple, "A scroll, an artifact, just some stone with words on it... anything about ancient Hylian knowledge that may be of some help to her."
Kura stepped closer to the two of them, her eyes genuinely expressing her concern and desire to help Zelda, "I didn't tell my sister because... well because she would not have let me. But I am not a child anymore! So... whether you are coming with or not, I AM GOING IN THERE, AND I'M NOT COMING OUT TILL I HAVE SOMETHING USEFUL!" And with that she picked up her backpack, secured her small rapier at her hip, and stormed off, slowing down at the entrance in her unease.
'YAH WHO NEEDS A HERO!... boy I hope they come with me.'

Kura wasn't sure what she was expecting; A lack of answer, monsters that would reveal themselves from their home, or perhaps even a smiling greeting? Either way, she was still taken by surprise at the young eyed and rather small statured girl that came to her aid. Kura was only several inches taller than the petite figure, but the girl clearly looked more youthful than the blue eyed princess, and in return Kura gave a meek smile to her compliment.
"Yes I am Hylian.... I am Pri-... pretty sure I am lost." She pushed back the lump that grew in her throat and recollected her thoughts. It wouldn't be wise to tell just anyone who she really was. The Rogue Order could have spies anywhere!... even among the Immortal Children. "I was supposed to meet my friends at the Hylian Ruins, but I think I took a wrong turn.. needless to say I am lost as can be. Do you know your way?"
She reached into her bag and pulled out one of her own leather bound books from her studies as a girl. It was a historical tale about a previous Hylian war. "You like books? You can have this one if you help me," she said giving the girl a smile and holding it out to her, "Also if you don't mind me asking, how old are you? I've never met one of your kind."

shining bright she is like the sun, waiting there for her fate to come
Like a cat; a royal feline that crept across the tall bannisters as it stalked it's unknowing prey. Waiting for the right time to strike, the epitome of finesse, as was the king of hunters.
Unfortunately, Kura was not the hunter.
No, she was the opposite -- which was clearly displayed as she clumsily fumbled through the underbrush on her way to the Forest temple. Loose branches pulled at her hair, rocks obstructed her path, and eventually she found herself face to face with a large and wary arachnid. All of which she recognized verbally with obvious agitation. Screams, grunts, and yelps. If there was anyone looking for her specifically... it would be like hunting a wounded and bleeding piglet.
She honestly felt miserable, and only the idea of glory cheered her up. The thought of handing her sister some lost artifact or knowledge for the release of Link, was her reason for continuing down the 'path' to the temple despite her want to just curse it all. That lone thought, and the unrelenting -brooding- aura she felt coming from her back. She was sure that her retainer, and most trusted friend, really despised her at the moment. Not only did she wake him up early for a possible fool's errand, but at this moment he had to personally deal with her inability to function as anything other than a castle born princess. Though the two of 'em would make it eventually, only losing out on a few hours of daylight due to her navigational errors and distress calls at the sight of a bug.
Upon arrival, she would urgently let her ass meet the ground, giving an audible sigh of relief at the sight of the moss covered ruins. Though the feeling of relief would fade as she realized they still had to go inside. 'Why can't Ancients just leave their stuff in plain sight... all these trials..'
"I wonder if Zelda had to go through any of this... maybe that is why she is such a grump.." she said to herself quietly, looking at the temple entrance with awe. Though she didn't care for all the labor, Kura really did like history, and discovery... so perhaps she would grow into the exploratory side.

[music]http://k003.kiwi6.com/hotlink/8723cyoy84/Sword_Art_Online_OST_-_In_Your_Past_A_Tender_Feeling.mp3 [/music] It would be no secret that Kura was taken aback by the sudden change of Perseus. His stoic face twisted up into a devilish grin and her eyes grew wide with concern. Her mind immediately filled with questions about just what kind of place he would take her to. What kind of place would demand such a secret? A special hidden dungeon? But before she could ask, his firm grasp of her hand startled her and they were off; dashing through the streets, weaving around couples as they hurried. Kura actually grinned and chuckled softly as she thought about the people's reaction. It was almost like they were kids again, playing tag or hide and seek -- back when things were simpler. Though of course that is wrong.... things have never been simple, but perhaps to a young child, they may have been.
They were headed for the palace, but instead of leading through the front door, he turned to take her through the gardens. If she had the time, Kura would stop and take in the love landscape of Lynna castle, but her escort was steadfast to getting to their destination. Coming just around the castle, they stopped at the cliff and she was able to relax herself and catch her breath from the sudden dash to get here. Kura was about to turn to Perseus and ask him about the place but suddenly he hurled himself off. Panic overtook her as she reached out as if to catch him, but it was too late... he was--- Standing there. Standing in an open mouth to some cavernous opening and looking up at her with that smile that normally made her knees weak.
Oh her knees were still weak, but from the scariness of the Kings suicidal tendencies and she almost started to scream at him. How did he expect her to do something like that! How would they even get back?
"Do you trust me? Just jump, I'll catch you, I promise!"
"U-uh... okay..."
Kura bit her bottom lip, peeking over the cliff and trying not to shake from the sight. She inhaled and exhaled before running her hand through her bangs.
'He is insane! And I'm insane..'
She jumped. The rush of air pulling at her. She wanted to scream out in fear but it caught in her throat. The only thing she could do was wait for that weight of her body stopping-- for him to catch her. "Perseus!"

[attr="class","libody"] 'The one day!' "The one day that I go off on my own... and I get lost." Her voice was staggered, an obvious signal of her agitated distress as she walked through the wild thickets and over the down branches. "-Ngh Garrett's gonna string me up by my toes!" she exclaimed as she used her rapier to push away a fern that offered little abstinence. With a raise of her hand, she shielded her eyes from the sun that peaked through the trees and glanced around -- with each second however she grew more discouraged. She was supposed to be headed to the Hylian Ruins, to the demolished castle that served as the base of operation for the Heroes of Hyrule; but instead she found herself -- elsewhere. She didn't even know where she was!
"Did I go south instead of north? Or perhaps I turned wrong at the crossroads? GAH! GODDESS SMITE FOR BEING A FOOL!"Slowly but surely, Kura began to pout, and with a sigh of defeat, she placed her hands on her hips and turned around. "I suppose I will just have to go back the way I came..." -- and at steady pace, she tried her best to retrace her steps, but instead of finding herself in familiar territory, she was face to face with a rather different sight. After an hour or so of bravely trekking through the Hylian forests, her cerulean eyes gazed upon a fruition of small houses and buildings that dotted the treescape.
She rubbed her eyes and blinked a few times to make sure it wasn't her imagination. Stories of the immortal children were told to every girl and boy as they grew up, but to actually see their village was a magic trick all by itself. Were they monsters to be fear'd? Friendly hosts that would hospitably see to a passerby? "Well I won't be getting back home by standing here gawking," she said to herself before loudly announcing her presence. "Hello! Anyone? Can anyone help me?" she blurted out, leaving the thick foliage behind her and she tried to straighten herself up.
[attr="class","libody"] The words had already left her lips before she realized exactly what she had asked, and instantly she had regretted it, wishing she had not said anything at all as Perseus chuckled at her inquiry. She had thought about how it might have ruined the moment between them, or perhaps it felt pushy, but either way she expected an undesirable response from the King.
Yet....
A soft weight rested on her waist, urging her closer and into a small dip. A handsome smirk crossed his lips and in the moment her heart skipped a beat. If she had the choice, she would stay in that blip of time forever, in his arms and glancing into those sparkling eyes of his. But it only got better as he pulled her back on her feet and released her waist, raising her hand to guide her into a twirl. She was in pure awe of the King, her eyes never wanting to leave his, and she grew nervous as he pulled her close once more. She could start to feel her muscles tense up and shake in her excitement as she looked up at him -- yet before she knew it, the song had ended and he stepped back to bow. She merely blinked and pushed her hair behind her ear before meekly responding with a curtsy.
It took a moment for her to regain herself, glancing around at the couples that left the area to wander. She watched them carefully, wondering where they would take their partner during this time, and she realized that she knew quite little of the King himself. She always felt so strongly for the man, but never really knew who he was, or what he liked. She pursed her lips before looking up at Perseus.
"I.. I want to know more about you," a rather declaring response and she realized that he might need more to go off of, "I... in Hyrule I always had one spot I would go to... Well I couldn't really leave the Castle, but none the less it was my favorite spot. Did you -- or do you have that special place?"
