To be quite frank, life in the Gerudo Desert was lackluster. Sure it was lively and had tons of people (mainly women, so that was a plus for some of her lingering anxiety), but it didn't have a couple of key things. One, the Gerudo desert didn't have normal temperature. In the morning, it was hot as all shit in the day (as a desert should be) and at night it would drop below freezing. Why couldn't it have been a normal decent temperature all day and night? Because it's a desert! Does Farrah care that the desert is only following the laws this world runs by? No! [break][break] But that was only point one here. For the second point, Maude wasn't here. Maude, her precious, angelic, beautiful mother. Her mother who would beat the shit out of some random person if they even so much as held Farrah's hand with ulterior motives. Her mother, who, though not related through blood, cared for Farrah as if she were her own. Yes, the desert was no fun without her mother there by her side, but Farrah was technically an adult now. Even if she wished she could go back to being 17 and taking cat naps on her mother's lap. [break][break] The last thing the desert didn't have, something that drove her up the wall, was- [break][break] "Nex?" [break][break] In all reality, it could be any random blue haired person sitting over there trying to sell their wares. Farrah never considered herself to be too lucky, but there was no guarentee that it wasn't him. So she'd take a step closer to him, from the right side, because if it was Nex, he would not see her getting close enough to see his face clearly. It especially helped that he wasn't paying her any attention. Her bright red hair in a sea of other women with the same shade of hair? There was no way he could distinct her from the others unless he saw her face. [break][break] Farrah pushed her way closer to the man, and as soon as her eyes could get out distinct figures... Yes. That was her fish. There was only one male she knew with such strange markings on his face, and only he would look so shady out in the open. He looked a little uncomfortable too she'd say. Perhaps because there were many people around? Well, even if he was, Farrah knew he'd never admit to it. For now though, she'll just... tease him a bit. [break][break] The woman watched Nex for a bit, and chose to approach him when he looked in the opposite direction of her. And when she stopped in front of him, she said in the cheekiest voice, "I'll buy all of your wares from you, Sir." and as soon as his head turned to her, she would smile brightly and add on, "If you let me pay with my body, of course." [break][break] That would surely get a rise out of him.
The Desert city was too much for the Zora. While he was glad to have a space in which to sell his wares and keep him from grinding elbows with the crowd, there was still so many people to deal with. He was camped aside beneath the shade of his wagon's awning: the tarp pulled out to create a small tent to allow those with a vested interest in his wares to make a stop and not be dissuaded by the sun. He had removed his cloak, the robes working only to hasten his demise in this inhospitable temperature. It was folded beneath him to give him cushion as he sat for hours with a patience only abided by the opportunity to make ends meet. Laid out on his mat were a few bits of jewelry carved of seashells. Books piled to the side, only two remain, but many seemed disinterested. A small, woven basket sit to his left, filled with multi-colored shells polished to a shine in order to entice the wandering eye. Of course he had other wayward goods such as metal tools and contraptions carried all the way from Holodrum. It was likely discarded junk that he scavenged to make profit of. Those who stopped to asked questions would receive stories of his intimate knowledge with antiques, his family's shop in Holodrum stacked with ancient relics, but he preferred the open roads. In a way it was true as it kept him away from his family. As much as he cared for his mother he could not idle under the cruel machinations of his cousin who insisted on haunting him every hour of the day in an attempt to regain favor as an heir to their clan. Without his cloak he wore a full suit of black that did well to hold moisture close to his skin when he was forced to suffer this sort of weather and reflect away what it could to keep him at a fair temperature, as much as one could be in the scorching desert.
He was not the most sociable person, but his cold honesty and intimate knowledge of the shells and jewelry he sold allowed him a fair amount of interest and drew a steady number of people to approach, despite his bristly demeanor. A lopsided smile aided his personable visage, but it was just that: a mask. He was little interested in making a lasting impression and he was quite good at maintaining a low profile when he needed a break from the crowds. He would tuck away his merchant's spirit as soon as the back's of others were turned away. He forced himself to remember that he needed to make a profit, lest he return home, when he did, to a cold reception. The only kindness coming from his kin was when he could succeed. He needn't make a profit here because his ultimate goal was to reach Castle Town and find something of value, using these steps to light his path. A voice called out declaring their desire to abscond with all his goods. Their method of payment: their body. The merchant bristled at the wholly perverse thought. Such a declaration made him sound shady and the very concept made his stomach churn. A sharp glare pinched itself onto his features before he whipped his head around, only for the figure to be mere inches from his face.
Whoever they were: they had crawled in on his right side somehow and stayed out of his peripheral. He lurched back, hand moving to his hip, where his scabbard lay. He always wore his knife's holster beneath his robes, but here brandishing a weapon in an open air market was a bad idea, so he had folded it into his cloak that he had been sitting on. So when he reached for it -- he grabbed air. As panic roiled through him the hyperventilating Zora was on high alert. His good eye traced the figure up and down, down and up. His cerulean eyes landed on her face and though only one could see it was enough to piece together a few of the memories. Once again her words rang in his ears.
'If you let me pay with my body, of course.'
His face turned a bright red, just about the only visible skin on his form as even his hands were covered in gloves and the thigh boots he wore guarded his ankles. "W-what are you, stupid?!" He spat out, pulling to sit up, moving back to his cloak. His hands frantically pulled back his hair as he puffed his chest out. "Like it's worth anything!" Though he had not meant it, fully, the woman's stupid comment caused him such embarrassment that he could figure naught else but to lash out.
How long had it been? A year? A few months? He had honestly lost track of time after their last departure. At first he thought it, perhaps, a ghost. He had remained a while in Holodrum attempting to sort his family's works. There was some troublesome figures that didn't like he was in charge because they felt his interests aligned too much with the Ocean than their own in Holodrum. It was difficult for Zora to get a footing in the capital because they were Zora and this created a status quo that was in favor of Human and some Hylian. Still he was able to get his estate back on track and quell some of the concern in his clan. After all rumor had reached the elders, somehow, that Sinnie was idling his time with Geurdo women and Hylian girls. They assured him that they would be arranging a marriage for him. He refused and leaned threat that if they meddle with him he would be less forgiving than he had been with his uncle. After all as far as many in his clan know his uncle left when Sinnie challenged his role... only one knew the truth of the matter and he suspects they were the ones that whispered to the elders of his-- infatuation.
He would lower his head, sulking as his heart continued to run amuck in his chest. Moving his hand over his aching muscle the Zora would feel the energy drain from his body. "Why are you like this...?" He lamented. "You could have just..." A hello would have been nice, but he supposed after he hastily departed the last time it was her right to just scare him to death. "I'll haunt you." He swore feeling himself on the edge of death. His heart just wouldn't stop screaming.
Letting his hands fall onto his lap he looked over to the woman, his gaze sharply peering out from his cobalt bangs. Though he spake no words there was a deeply concerning question on the tip of his tongue.

Ah yes. Perfect. Farrah had gotten just the response she was fishing for. Nex's face was flushed. His immediate response after realizing it was her was to back up and puff his chest out in some attempt at being calm. The stuttering in his speech didn't lend well to that image though. Nex really was one of her favorite people. Lashing out when she did something to embarrass him. [break][break] "Cute..." Farrah's grin was still wide as she observed her precious fish trying to get himself together. She was a little angry still, because he really had just up and left her in his dust, leaving nothing but a hastily scrawled note behind. It wasn't even much of an explanation either! Two short sentences, barely anything to reassure her. But right now, Farrah had more important things to do, she could get mad at him for that a little later. [break][break] As he whined to her, Farrah couldn't help but laugh to herself. "You just looked so adorable and unsuspecting. I couldn't just leave you in peace, now could I?" She could have easily done so, actually, but that wouldn't have been any fun, and she wouldn't have gotten to see such a blessed sight. "Are you sure you won't accept my payment though? Even if I wear something cute and pink as the cherry on top?" Farrah was a little displeased with herself for not having anything pink on her person today, but tomorrow she would make sure that she was prepared.
Memories were a burdensome thing. He had thought, perhaps, if he buried them deep enough he would no longer be able to feel the weight of them as they pressed on his chest. He recalls the many nights floating in the open sea as he tried to wash away his sins and let the pain sink to the dark depths. Yet the pain sat there, on his chest and refused to leave. He had done many things he was not proud of, but they were actions he felt were necessary for his continued survival. When he was young his small voice failed to reach the adults. Even now he found ways to disappear into the shadows and avoid the convoluted circumstances of a complicated existence. Sometimes he just wanted to have a simple choice. It haunted him. No matter what he did he could never bury it deep enough. Even now the memories washed in as Farrah stood before him and seemed to mock his weakness of heart. Who was he to find means to control this? He felt his head spin as the tightness in his chest became unbearable, causing him to cough out at her utterance of his being adorable. The tears that threatened his eyes were pushed back as his shoulders pulled up and his head sunk lower. He'd nearly spit with frustration.
"I am not adorable." He chided.
How could he be? When people looked at him he took note of the length in which they lingered on his features. Even though he smiled he was looked at with fear. Even though he did all he could to mimic their gentle words they would hesitate. His mouth did not move well and his eye, well it could not see. He was self-conscious of the injuries on his face and would pull up his right forearm to rub the back of his wrist against the paralyzed side of where the tattoo sat. The injury had not been so terrible. He looked upon the scars, that his cousin had given him, every day. He had lamented the shame they had brought to his father's name. They were a reminder that he was weak. One day he was unable to look upon them any longer and, in a fit of pain, he had reopened the injury with the blade he had stolen from his uncle and forced the ink into his flesh. They called him weak, a spineless jellyfish. But the biri were serene and could stun even the most mighty of warrior with a single touch. So he drew it onto his face so that when they looked at him they could see it. It was the old, Zoran letter that represented the biri. It was so he could not forget that when they looked at him they saw him for what he was: a spineless jelly.
He tried not to let the tears fall, rubbing his arm over his face and forehead, feigning the wiping of sweat as he looked up to her with his sharp-toothed sneer. "Don't be r-ridiculous. Who would w-want that?!" He tried to tough out the words, turning his head slightly to scoff.
Though he had turned his sharp gaze from her, he only did so in order to cool off. With her so close the temperature under his swimming suit seemed to just rise. While normally he would aggressively fend off the mere consideration of proximity, Farrah had floundered that boundary ever regularly until the issue waned. It was just too exhausting to fight her off. He hissed, feeling as if he was steaming, though he was visibly smoking as he felt the sun getting to him, just a little. It had been some time since he had seen her. She had matured, physically, and it was hard to ignore. He visibly bristled at the offer, cerulean eye slowly drifting back towards her. It seems she had piqued his interest with that. He pursed his lips, as if truly considering her words. he looked down from her face, back up, and finally to the side. He sucked his fangs, a reluctant acceptance of his fate.
He did like when she wore pink...
"You can't have any of my stuff, gotta make a profit, but..." There was a chance! He pushed to sit forward, reaching into one of the baskets. Eventually he fished out a beaded bracelet. It had pink and egg-blue beads strung together with a shined, conical shell dangling from it. "This." He held it out to her. "...I was waiting to give it to you." He muttered under his breathe. "...sooner than I expected." He moved to stand, exhaling as he looked around. "Can we go somewhere cooler?" He asked.
It was about time he packed up anyway. He was finding it harder to concentrate as his body was boiling in this ungodly weather. How did these women stand it?

No matter how many times Nex tried to deny that he was cute, Farrah just wouldn't accept it. She picked her hill and she would die on it before ever admitting otherwise. It really seemed to get to him though, her calling him cute. Maybe she should stop? But she was only telling the truth as she saw it. [break][break] Hm... No she wouldn't stop, because Nex stuttering over compliments was just too good. Unless he outright told her to stop of course. Then maybe she would. Maybe. [break][break] Farrah was a little disappointed when he said he wouldn't let her have any of his stuff, not because she wanted it, but because she wouldn't be able to go through with her payment. But she was pleasantly surprised when he instead pulled something out and handed it to her with a mumble she could just barely understand. [break][break] He was waiting to give it to her. Waiting to give it to her. Farrah nearly died on the spot. Her face grew red from the sheer adorableness of the situation, and how he seemed so reluctant in giving it to her, but he thought of her. She wasn't just some Gerudo he barely remembers. And he said he wasn't cute. [break][break] With one hand clenched to her chest, Farrah received the bracelet. She only moved the hand away to put it on her wrist immediately. Oh, but Nex asked for them to go somewhere cooler, right. She was still dying over the fact that he gave her a gift. "O-oh... Yeah. Yeah, we can go back to my place maybe? I mean-" She was a little less confident now, staring at the ground. "Only if you want to of course."
He reached up his gloved hand to rub at his face, the Zora feeling the heat still gripping at his chest and parching his throat. The Zora pushed forward as his rump barely left his folded cloak. Bit of sandy ground kicked up. He forced aside his mat before moving to collect his goods. One by one he would pack everything up, only to haphazardly toss what was left into a burlap sack. He stood to his full height, which one could forget how tall he truly was given his hunch or the loose clothing he often wore. Zora moved pull his cloak over his shoulders, draping the cloth in a way that it was loose, but remained close enough to his body to hide his thin form. He smoothed everything out, wrinkles having formed from his sitting on it. Kneeling down he scooped up the belt with his blade's holster and wrapped it around his hips. Though he did not look it the merchant was generally fit, when he ate properly or kept up with his sleep schedule. His lithe form irrelevant to his physical capacity. While not as strong as a Goron or a Gerudo: he was used to tugging the heavy loads on and off his cart so did not fall behind as many others thought. He would lift the the sack and carry it back to his cart, the old wheels creaking from use. With a soft grunt he heft the sack into the back, before he reached up to pull down the canvas, closing up everything.
"Your place...?" The sound rolling from his lips was akin to -- surprise, maybe? "You...you're not still living with--?" He thought back to having first met Maude.
While they had been amicable, once she learned that Farrah -- Well she had interest in him she became quite defensive. It wasn't as if he had the same interest in her! Well at least that was what he had told himself, over and over. Sometimes he would catch himself staring at her when they would travel. Thinking about taking actions that she would find pleasing. That was the trouble with bringing others with you when you traveled! As Nex stood in his reminiscing his mouth fell open, eyes staring straight ahead. He clenched his gloved hands, arms falling to his sides as he shook his head.
His brows softened as he looked towards the woman. "You don't think --?" He reached up to rub the back of his neck, hand slipping behind his robes. "Farrah you don't -- hate me do you?" His voice was soft, cut away from his usual, abrasive tenor. "I left unexpectedly." He was aware of what he did.
He ran away. He hated himself for it. He had always thought himself, if nothing else, he was strong enough to face his enemies, his fears. But the last thing he wanted to do was to bring Farrah into the middle of his family problems. The Zora finished tying up his horse. It was an old horse. Gelding by the looks of it. Its fur was pallid, dun makings along its legs giving it the appearance that it walked on shadow. The Zora would pull at the lead, luring the horse from its wait position. He would look to Farrah, reaching behind his head so he could pull his hood up to better deflect the sun from his eyes.

Farrah watched as Nex put all of his weird merchant shit back together and picked it up. It took way too long for her attention span, but she just couldn't tear her eyes off of him. Really, this dumbass had left her worried about him for so long. She spent an endless amount of nights wondering if he was still safe. "Family troubles"? What does that even mean? Was his family out to get him or something? Oh my gosh what if they were trying to kill him- [break][break] "Your place...? You...you're not still living with--?" [break][break] Farrah was confused by his question for a moment, before realizing he was probably refering to Maude. "Oh, Maude? No, she's wouldn't live in the desert even if I asked nicely." The redhead laughed a bit at the thought of how unamused her mother had been when she talked about moving to the Gerudo Desert. Though Farrah could talk about her mother all day, she would save Nex the anxiety and simply leave it at that. Maude made Nex nervous, but it was entirely logical on his part. She was a vicious woman. [break][break] "You don't think --?" She doesn't think a lot of the time actually. "Farrah you don't -- hate me do you?" What? "I left unexpectedly." What the fuck was he talking about now? [break][break] With an eyebrow raised, Farrah looked at Nex. "Why would you think I hate you? Have I made it seem like that?" Surely she didn't act like she hated him, did she? "I could never hate you! You made upset and I was worried about you a lot, but I don't hate you. I mean-" She shrugged her shoulders nonchalantly, like it was no big deal. "I was also a little angry, but if you had to go you had to go. Next time just make sure you say a proper goodbye, okay?" Farrah grinned widely now and leaned in a bit closer to him. "Or I could always go with you! Travelling together would be fun!"
Nex had never meant to depart with such haste. In truth the missive from his cousin found him generally disengaged until he came upon the forceful edict of their near arrival. Now time was something Next would have had, if not for the date received on the letter. It was dated a week over. His arrival could have been any day! Nex had dawdled and he was paying for his mistake. No he could not meet Farrah, nor could he ever permit Farrah to learn of him. Before he could even hear himself think the terror of his happiness being shattered by that menace was too much. Everything he loved Pan was determined to take it away.
"No…but--" his voice was soft, but he could at least be assured that she did not seem to, outwardly, gate him.
Unlike Nex he had a beautiful face untouched by scars. His voice was soft and warm, whereas his was coarse and cold. He was opposite to Nex in every way, especially in the way he treated people. While Nex was fully aware of the capacity of cruelty in men and was cautious in his meetings with them: Pan saw all others beneath him, like chattel to be ordered about. He would talk down to others, but paint his words so wonderfully you'd think yourself to be praised and honored
He felt a weight press onto his shoulders as Farrah spoke. Of course she was upset by his actions. They were cowardly and hardly acted as someone who was meant to be brave and proud. He had lost many things as he grew, but, he had believed, if nothing else, he still had his courage. But he knew he could not face Pan as he was. Not yet. That man was everything a nightmare could present. He walked beside her, pulling along his horse and cart. He seemed to be sulking, though an outsider's view would like to determine his mood was afoul.
His brows were pinched, but the ends were knitted up in regret. The corner of his mouth was upturned in a sneer, but half of his face was paralyzed so the scowl was actually a half-formed frown. His hands were clenched into a fist and his head dunk forward as he walked with a powerful stride, but he tried to hide his full height and deter others from reaching out and hurting him. Everything he presented screamed hooligan, but if one was able to stand close to him the signals were quite different.
"... Just a proper farewell?" He reiterated, glancing towards her.
It seemed simple enough. Suddenly the woman was nearly face to face with him, his jaws parting as he tried to find the word. But something was strange. His eyes tried to find an empty space her featured did not occupy one way or another before the ground the ground again. He mumbled an affirmative, though to which part of her suggestions it was hard to tell. Since she was walking at his left the male would pass the lead to his right, lifting his arm as if to shove her, but the left limb swayed out, as his gloved hand turned palm up. He curled his digits and would attempt to fish for Farrah's, taking gentle hold of them. He stares off, face having taken a fine shade of red.
But think nothing of it. It was simply Gerudo desert's midday heat.

It was very obvious to Farrah that something was weighing down on Nex, even after she reassured him that she didn't hate him. What that something was though, she had no idea, and she didn't have any plans of prying into it either. For Nex, it always seemed the smartest to just let him come to her, even if that didn't actually work half the time. She didn't want to upset him. Tease him? Make him uncomfortable? Always. But genuinely making him upset didn't sit right with her. [break][break] "... Just a proper farewell?" He seemed a bit doubtful of her words. How rude- And now he was leaving her line of sight too! Nex pushed past Farrah, and though she initially thought he was going to just walk ahead of her, she was surprised to find him standing next to her instead. The brush of his fingertips against hers was also a shock. A big shock really. [break][break] Never in her life would Farrah had thought she'd see the day. Nex initiating physical contact? Never. At least, thats what she had thought. Now though, now his fingers were brushing against hers, definately asking to hold hands. But that was so like him, wasn't it? Not using his words to ask to hold hands but instead just hint at her. Because he was so stupid and shy to just take her hand himself. [break][break] Farrah had never grabbed a man's hand faster than she did today. She was a little too excited, and her heart was beating a little (a lot) too fast to be called normal, but she grabbed that hand. Farrah's smile might have been blinding but she hid it away with a hand, trying to hide just how giddy this simple action was making her feel. "Uhh..." What did she need to say again? Something about him saying goodbye, right? "Yeah, just say goodbye to me and I'll be happy. Because that means that you cared enough about me to not worry me by running off without a word, okay?"
There was a lot of doubt that played at the Zora's mentality. The diminishing doubt was bred of the uncertainty of his place in the world. His heart had become cold in adulthood where, once, it was full of life and vigor. Oft times it ate away at his confidence, a courage he once carried with pride and would be able to face insurmountable odds. While that strength had not fully left him it was not as raucous as it was in his youth. It was so simple tasks were overwhelming and what may once have taken him an ounce of that drink, now took the whole glass. But it may as well be. Where his courage faded he worked to meet these tasks with his intellect. So it seemed a little thought was all that was needed to approach her.
It felt strange. While he find most physical contact abhorrent he supposed he had become used to Farrah's presence that it was far from offensive. In fact it had become a comfort. When she took his hand he groused, lowering his head as his shoulders became stiff. He seemed to be scowling but that was hardly of ill repute on Farrah's part. It just seemed difficult for him to place a feeling on this. He continued along and watched as they passed individuals whom he found to be draining and hardly worth the effort of his attentions so he chose, instead, to look ahead.
"Yeah." He regarded. "Alright." He would agree, but there was no telling if he would even remember.
Old habits that a wanderer like him just lived with.
"What ... have you been doing since?" He wasn't looking her in the eye, but that was normal. What he was doing, that was quite interesting, was he was maintaining his grip, even tightening it.

Farrah was way too excited about how soft Nex was being. Hand holding? Worrying about her feelings for him? Nex would have never done these things years ago, and Farrah was all to happy to accommodate for this change. The fact that he agreed to make sure to say goodbye to her was just the cherry on top to all of this. Farrah was lucky today, and hopefully she would be lucky for a while longer. [break][break] Every time Nex would squeeze her hand, Farrah would squeeze back lightly, as a way to try and reassure him. She didn't know what he needed reassurance for, but she would provide it none the less. "Hmm... What have I been doing?" Farrah hummed in response to his question. There was quite a bit of stuff that she had done since last seeing him. "Well, I learned to be a healer from someone, and I moved here. I also got a job at the hospital they have hear. I've really been doing that since." Farrah shrugged her shoulders and glanced at Nex. "It's pretty boring though. I have a lot more fun if you or Maude are around, so I'm really glad that you're here now!" [break][break] And she really, really was. Farrah hadn't been this excited about something since she had last gone to visit Maude. It had been years since she last saw Nex, and she wouldn't let him go now that he was once again in her sights. This time, she'd make sure to stick by his side.
He had turned his head off to the side as they walked. The number of people wandering about seems to have been diminishing as the hours passed, which was good for him as he was able to relax a bit more. Maybe it was just the wide open sea the Zora missed or the solitude, but there was something about an empty plaza that was serene to him. As he settled down his grip on Farrah's hand became less rigid. It was easy to tell his mood. Like a clam he would open up or close right depending on the outside world. Up until very recently he was closed up to much.of the stimuli. Maybe it was age or the separation of Farrah and himself, but the time apart treated him fondly. He worked diligently and the efforts of their family to tear the two apart was what kept his cousin out of his hair for a good long while.
Nex almost felt his luck was changing!
He glanced over to the woman as she spoke. "You did say you had a place here...but I thought maybe that was conjecture. So you left that farm?" Which was all the more better for him!
Farm animals were awful creatures. Fur covered menaces that, on more than one occasion, tried to eat him. He would swear to Nayru. What also compelled him to steer clear of farms were their occupants. Barbaric strong women who could lift whole hogs and bend a man over their knees with a side glance. He has seen first hand the gargantuan strength that belonged to farm women and it was only more frightening that they were pale in compare to Gerudo. He mentally winced and looked to Farrah's hand. She could crush him!
Gulp.
"Fun with -- Maude?" He could hardly believe it. "You're here for good then?" If so it wouldn't be as difficult to venture out, though he wondered where exactly Farrah lived. They had been walking a bit now. He looked up to see just where they were headed.

"Yep. I left the farm. I didn't want to intrude on Maude and Jon more than I needed too. And I figured it was about time to get on my own two feet." She meant the words she said, but Farrah still frowned, upset with the idea. She didn't want to leave Maude, but there was also a part of her that felt bad, like she was overstaying her welcome. [break][break] "Yeah, I'm kind of here for good. Though I mean... I wouldn't be opposed to dropping everything to join you in your journeys." Farrah grinned at Nex as she said her last words, slowing to a stop. The building they stood in front of looked like any typical Gerudo residence. [break][break] Without waiting, Farrah unlocked the door and motioned him in. Inside the building, There was a seating area, acting as a living room, a small table with two chairs around it, and a kitchen. There were two more doors in the back to the side of the living area. It could be assumed that one was the restroom and the other a bedroom.
Nex couldn't imagine what it took for Farrah to leave that farm. He wasn't sure if Maude was her blood bother or the result of some bizarre union, but she had been quite attached to that woman's care. He couldn't see Maude as the cuddly and warm type to raise a child from scratch, but he was also surprised she maintained any semblance of relationship with Farrah. She was so high energy. Nex did not easily exhausted from people, despite his assertion to having little fondness for their company. He was quite social, but had become reclusive in his solitude. When accompanied on his journeys or trading he was quite talkative.
What tired him out was the immeasurable reach stupidity had. How it carried a person into adulthood had be by the grace of the goddess. Surely there was a natural course that cleared out reckless foolishness from bloodlines early on. And yet there was the Hyrule Royal family who has gone on generations uninterrupted save for the occasional uprising and war. Still he did have the state of mind to deal with people when he needed to and could be on for hours, but come heinous acts of dim thought he was the first out the door. He's had one too many adventures end in collapsing cavern entrances.
As they arrived the Zora would tie up his horse. Alas the hold had to fade, the merchant reclaiming his digits for use in carrying his remaining stock. He couldn't just leave it out here for some brigand to pinch after his work collecting it all. The sack was lift from the cart and hoist over his shoulder as he entered the abode. Standard, at best, but surprisingly comfortable. Letting the sack of goods drop to the side be would look to Farrah, reaching up to push down his hood.
"Impressive." He dryly drawled, turning his gaze to the Gerudo. "You didn't kill anyone for it did you?" It seemed like prime real estate and a lazy scoundrel like Farrah wasn't someone he imagined capable of fairly obtaining such a spacious place with the level of work she often assigned herself. "You said you worked at a hospital?" He added, still incredulous. "What so you do?" Kicking off his boots the slouching sardine would drop down on the closest seat, melting against the padding as he hummed, clearly pleased at the cooler environment.
He stared off for a moment before his gaze drifted up towards the woman, his hands tucking into his pocket now that he hadn't anything to do with them. He found it hard to speak up. Honestly the desert air had dried his throat but being alone with Farrah parched him. Feeing his tongue stick to the roof of his mouth he would pop it.
"Seems you're doing well for yourself…" he looked around the room as if trying to discern the hanging answer for himself. There appeared to be two doors separating rooms. Either one was an indoor wash closet and the other a bedroom or there were two bedrooms. Did she have someone else after all this time? "You have a roommate?" He looked up, dreading the answer as soon as the question left his lips.

Farrah wanted to watch Nex put all of his suspicious cargo into her house, but she instead elected to get him a cup of water. He was probably pretty stressed about socializing still and it was a hot day outside, he'll feel better with it hopefully. "Impressive. You didn't kill anyone for it, did you?" She heard him slander her, and immediately looked at him offended. [break][break] "Of course not!" Farrah stuck out her tongue and pouted. "This place was earned after years of working, I'll have you know." Despite her mock anger, Farrah still walked over to him and put the cup of water in front of him on the coffee table. She decided to take her seat next to him instead of the very empty couch on the other side. [break][break] It's her house. She can sit where she wants. Even if it was a little bit too close to him. She wanted to sit closer, but she didn't want to touch him without his permission. [break][break] "You have a roommate?" Farrah blinked at him, very confused by his train of thought, but after looking where his eyes were, she understood. The two doors in her house could easily be taken as two rooms, but that wasn't the case at all. There was no way Farrah would tolerate living with a roommate that was just some rando. [break][break] "Oh no. Nope. Only roommate I'd be okay with having would be Maude or you... Oh and one other person, but you don't know her. That room is a bathroom." She was counting the amount of people on her fingers, but when she got to three, she held them up as if saying 'see?'
