Hey everyone--as we prepare for our revival, it did not feel right for me to continue on without at least paying homage to someone who was my best friend and biggest supporter of this site. I could not have done half of the things I have done on this site if it wasn't for him. He was one of our key villains, rulers, and staff throughout the 5 years that this site has been around (and 2 years that the previous one was!)

You may have known him as DEBISIS, or Eleazar Velyris †, or Artemis Hyrule. He was REALLY good at playing villains, and even better at lightening moods in tense spaces. He was my best friend, next door neighbor, and beer pong partner, but most of all, he was one of my most precious RP partners, as well as to many others.

Mikey passed away on August 2, 2021, due to a drunk driver. And it has been extremely difficult for me to come back to this place, despite seeing it still flourish in my absence, because I couldn't imagine RPing here again without him. But now I feel confident that we can make this place a space he would be proud of.

If anyone has any experiences, RP stories, discord stories, or anything they would like to share about him, please post it here. This thread will always be sticky'd in announcements, so that new members and those who never got to experience how fun he was can see how amazing he was to our community.

Even if it's something small, share it. He did a lot behind the scenes, and even more for our plot, and tried to include as many people into his RP's as he could.

I have known Mikey, for nearly as long as I have known Navi; which is going onto almost a full decade at this point. At first he was always in the background, as a person that Navi talked about on occasion. It wasn't until Navi decided to remake ZRP for the first time that we actually met.

I was enthralled by his writing capabilities. Intimidated really, and I have him to thank for how my RP has developed. His influence has pushed me more with villains than anyone elses. I can only hold a candle up to the flame, but I hope that I can do well in his honor.

Alot of my favorite Mikey stories are not exactly appropriate to put in here, (: , but I will at least say that I really ENJOYED when he stepped in to handle ornery players.

Dear Mikey, You will be missed so very much; every time I think about our RP. I will still continue to talk to you all the time to update you about the person you cared about. A thousand wishes.
