DHARGGOA LIONHEART
Courage
Fire Sage (Hyrule)
TITLE/NICKNAME: Head Guard, Guardian, The Mountain Lion. Dhargg, "Rock Crusher".
RACE: Goron
AGE: Forty-three
GENDER: Male
SEXUALITY: Heterosexual
PERSONALITY
PERSONALITY DESCRIPTION: First and foremost, Dharggoa and a proud and honorable Goron. Be it in diplomatic situations to one on one fights, he does nearly the same way. That is not to say he does things by the book but close enough, while also putting his own spin on it. He is an immovable mountain, in both mind and body. He pushes his point and hardly ever backs down, unless given sufficient reason, but inches his way to victory, or until the other relents. Besides those two points, he also holds loyalty, trust and respect in high regards. Meet any of those, or more than one, and he like you all the more. A very friendly warrior, he is, that will give his life to protect those he cares for but even the same for faceless innocents. None are ever totally defenseless when he is around because he is the mighty shield that repels harm and evil. He is the unyielding sword to cleave down darkness. He is a guardian to his people, an ever-watchful sentinel.
Despite his overwhelming virtues, Dhargg does possess a few vices that he isn't quite so proud of. He is very competitive, mostly when it comes to fighting as wrestling is an avid pastime of his. Although he is a passive alpha male, he does become irritated by the presence of others like him and can assert his dominance so that he isn't ignored. Such situations usually end in fighting, which again, he doesn't mind. In the same vein as that, Dharggoa is a fierce and aggressive fighter. He knows that holding back is a surefire way to getting killed. Unless it is a sporting event or some kind of spar, he isn't quite so savage but anywhere else he is likely to become much more ruthless.
LIKES:
→ Competition -- In some regards it can be healthy for Dhargg, other times it is not. Best case would be for sport, where he knows the limits and acts accordingly. He finds fun in facing off with new and same opponent alike, though more for the former. He has an eye for improvement and gets a feeling when someone has changed for the better. Potential is generally limitless and that excites him. He could fight a hundred battles with the same person and know each time would be different, because win or lose, one grows from experience and that oftentimes leads to change.DISLIKES:
→ MEAT! -- Meat is the best food, as it is filled with various nutrients such as protein. He loves the taste of it and chows down plenty of it, with alcohol to wash it down.
→ Fighting -- What better pastime is there but fighting? Be it fighting unarmed or with weapons. Answer? NONE! Even though lethal bouts bring a rush of excitement to it and really shows who is better, nonlethal spars are the usual. Dhargg doesn't mind either. He has survived many of the former that he is confident enough to survive nearly any fight of that kind. Yet there is an appreciation for the latter. Beating or being beaten without the cost of a life means one can learn from the experience and grow, to return and fight again and again.
→ Rain -- Water of any kind is kind of bleh. Perhaps a throwback to when Gorons were once rock people. The occasional drizzle of fine but downpours and storms are totally not fine. He's fine with hot springs but that is about as close to water as he'll comfortably get.MOTIVATIONS:
→ Deceit -- He's a honest sort of guy and looks down on dishonesty or any sort of deceit. He has nothing against white lies or off-truths but lies meant to misdirect or for selfish gain are not approved of. He knows some secrets are best kept silent though.
→ Needless violence -- It may sound contradictory coming from a Goron that loves to fight but he doesn't approve of fighting without a reason, or just for the sake of it. Why fight when it could easily be solved through verbal actions? An odd side of him, sure, but it is what separates him from a ruthless savage.
→ Pride -- He wishes nothing more than to make his father proud, to uphold the ideals he and his grandfather set down when the family line first took up the honor of protecting the chief. He is prideful of himself too, as well as his abilities and accomplishments.FEARS:
→ Progress -- To advance himself in life. While already at the top, or as near as he can get, Dhargg still has a fount of untapped potential for which he can grow as a warrior.
→ Prosperity -- For his own people. Peace too but mostly the former. Peace lessens the chance of conflict, which he doesn't condone but secretly craves as conflict brings battle and he lives for that.
→ Deep water -- He was never a good swimmer.
→ Dishonorable defeat -- Losing in a dishonorable fashion is a great fear of his. Dhargg prides himself in being an honorable warrior and wouldn't wish a loss, even that of death, to be void of any kind of pride or honor. Such as being stabbed in the back, usually nonlethal but some places or weaponry tipped with poison can lead to that untimely end. His idea of an honorable defeat is bested in battle and impaled through the heart, quick and painless.
→ Growing old -- In his line of work, dying of old age isn't so honorable. He wishes to go out with a bang, not aching in a bed or lost to the Calamity. If he can train a few dozen generations of his people then he'll be glad to give his life in a battle.
HISTORY: Royal blood runs through his veins but as he is a part of a branch family, he has no right to the mantle of chief. His grandfather was the brother of the former chieftain's father, which makes Dhargg somewhat related to the now-Chief Konungr but such familial ties are minimal at best. He grew up to be a protector of the main family, learning how to fight and then actually training to do so. All Goron know how to fight unarmed but Dhargg eventually specialized in the use of maces and flails. His size and strength led to devastating results for those on the receiving end of his attacks, which earned him the title of Rock Crusher.
Through rigorous training and under strict guidance of his unyielding father, Dhargg worked his way up to one of the strongest fighters that the Gorons had to offer. His size and skill allowed him to best most opponents. His aptitude for the unarmed wrestling was a bit off point but put a weapon in his hands and he became a relative force to be reckoned with. It would be when he was well into adulthood that Dharggoa finally bested his old man in single combat. To the death would've been too gruesome but with fatalities aside, the hulking Goron matched his father blow for blow until he could pierce through the defenses and disarm him. Victory in hand, Dhargg took up the badge of honor associated with the champion, and the Head of the Guard for the chieftain.
His loyalty was sworn to the chief, Konungr, vowing to forever serve with respect and to abide by the laws set down by their forefathers in ages past. Dhargg did his utmost best to bolster their troops, and train them well, to prepare for the impending wars. He too was a beacon of hope for the Goron people, a banner to rally to in times of need. The turmoil that befell the other kingdoms wouldn't happen to the Gorons, not on his watch. Yet even his dauntless courage was no match for fate, no matter how determined he was to succeed.
It was following that catastrophe, which the Gods wrought, when the essence inside of Dhargg awoke. With the former Sage of Fire no longer living, the mantle had passed onto him spiritually. In Hyrule's time of need, or thereafter, a new Sage had been awakened. With the awakening came an inrush of knowledge and awareness. He couldn't make sense of it all but over time, things settled and he was able to sort it all out. His destiny, which was on track, was as a protector. Though not only as one for the Gorons but for all of Hyrule.
APPEARANCE
HEIGHT: Seven feet, four inches. 7'4".
WEIGHT: Three hundred and eighty pounds. 380 lbs.
APPEARANCE DESCRIPTION: Dharggoa is a relatively big Goron, not only in height but also in width. He is by no means fat, just incredibly muscular. From his broad shoulders, down his barrel of a chest to his trunk-like legs. His arms are much like his legs but not quite so thick, if still muscled. Big hands too, that are right enough to encompass a human or hylian's head. Not that he would bust a person's head in the palm of his hand but the potential is there. The Gorons' heritage runs strong in him, the one large and rocky people of Death Mountain. His body is conditioned to the peak of physiological prowess and maintained rigorously.
He has a full head of hair, a reddish hue, much like the bushy strap that runs around his face from temple, to chin, and up to the other temple. Both are well groomed and looks akin to that of a mane, giving him the appearance of a very large lion. It is a feature of his that he is proud of, like his muscles, as well as his scars. Scars that he earned over the course of time and many battles. He seems them as trophies, testaments to his survival.
STATISTICS
Strength: Excellent
Dhargg isn't just big but he is strong to boot, backing up his claims as one of his peoples' strongest warriors. He conditions himself on a daily basis to keep his form in peak shape.Speed: Average
Besides his reflexes in combat, his agility is rather lacking when compared to his great strength. His size clearly defines his actual speed. Nevertheless, a juggernaut doesn't need to be fast.Stamina: Above Average
In tandem with his strength, Dhargg has conditioned his body to last longer in a fight, or other strenuous activities. His endurance is nothing to scoff at.Mana: Below Average
It is only recently that he awakened his magical capability, and so it's understandable that he is severely lacking when it comes to magic and his mana pool. Yet not to be underestimated.Intelligence: Average
He's not quite so smarter than the average bear but he is definitely up there. Formality and etiquette can't be recited word for word, nor remembered all the time but anything combat-related and he is on point.
MAGIC
MAGIC TYPE: Elemental -- Fire
NAME: Red Blaze
RANK: Uncommon
CLASS: Offensive
DURATION/COOLDOWN: 3 posts / 4 posts.
DESCRIPTION: Through the focusing of mana, Dhargg channels it into his chosen weapon, or even his body, to enhance his attacks. Although, he could also enchant another person's weapon with his burning spirit. The spell causes a fiery red aura to ignite around the intended target, giving off waves of heat in the process. It expels fire hot enough to burn on impact with something, or someone. Though created by magic, it is fire and could ignite flammable objects, but fire created by those means is only regular fire.
