As the long-standing chief of the Holodrum Gorons, Brynja is used to commanding the respect of a particularly stubborn people. She follows the letter of the law more than her heart, which can make her a bit of a hardass, but she'll try to see both sides of any problem. In her rare free time, she enjoys a good heart to heart, but you'd have to be pretty convincing to pull her away from her duties...
FRIENDSHIPS we'll keep standing side by side
Brynja is very much a naturally friendly leader... to their tribe. Outsiders have to earn their way into their good graces. They're very standoffish and blunt if they don't like you, and a total softie if they do. Earning their friendship takes a lot of time, but it'll be worth it in the end! HATESHIPS for we are warriors
Humans. Brynja holds an ancestral distrust of any non-Goron Holodrum citizen, but humans in particular are subject to their greatest wrath. Any human or Hylian is considered the enemy on sight. [break] When it comes to Gorons, it takes a lot to become Brynja's enemy. They're very willing to forgive and forget, but everyone has their breaking point, and they're no different. LOVESHIPS and warriors are not afraid to die
Brynja has been ruling solo for about fifteen years now, the last three without the aid of a mentor. She's not incredibly interested in a relationship at this point, especially since she's more than married to her work. [break][break] - @name[break]

IT'S TIME TO PROVE MYSELF!
MORNING CHORES
The morning dawned cold and crisp, just the way they liked it. Brynja yawned cavernously as they woke, stretching out sore muscles (in a display fit to make the strongest lesbian weep) before swinging their legs off the side of the bed to start morning calisthenics. Routine, of course, was the backbone of a healthy life.[break][break] Their exercises took less than half an hour, so the caverns were still mostly empty as Brynja strode through. She offered pleasant nods to any she passed, stopping to chat with her more awake tribemates.[break] "Morning! On your way to stoke those fires?... Good, good. Happy to hear it. How's that filigree coming?... Oh yeah? Well then he shouldn't have left it sitting so long yesterday!"[break] "How's that back of yours, oldster? Herbs helping at all?... Glad to hear that. Hope it keeps on improving, praise to the Goddesses."[break] "You there! What do you think you're — hah, I'm kidding! Better scarper, else you'll be late. Have a good day!"[break][break] She continued on her way, stopping by the communal kitchens to grab a steaming bowl of hunters' hotpot. "Smells fantastic today, friends! Take pride in your work!... Well, just because I'm adding — that doesn't reflect on your cooking, it just reflects on how much I enjoy spicy foods!... Oh, you kidder." As she left, she sprinkled another pinch of her favorite spice blend on top, dodging a ladle chucked by a mock-angry chef. "You'll have to be quicker than that!" Hearty laughter followed in her footsteps.[break][break] Finally, Brynja exited the tunnel, breathing in the crackling morning air. Their steps crunched as they made their way over to their mentor's side. "Morning, friend. Ah, I tell you, there's nothing quite like the taste of hotpot in cold air." They ate quietly for a few minutes, enjoying the heat from the spice mixed with the potato and vegetable dish. "Things are heating up around here, old friend. People come to ask me every day if we should enter into a trade agreement with the monarchy, expand the tunnels, search out better veins... Tradition always guides my hand, but I must be able to discern what of it is best for our people." They finished their hotpot at a relaxed pace. "Well, better start the day. Can't run a tribe from a bench. Thanks for listening, old friend." Brynja laid a heavy hand on the headstone, rubbing it gently with her thumb as she reminisced about mornings past. Finally, she steadied herself with a deep breath and turned back towards her home and heart, fully braced for another long day of fulfilling work.
Notes: Hope it's alright that I made some assumptions on how Holodrum Goron culture functions! Let me know if I should change anything.
WE'LL KEEP FIGHTING 'TIL THE END The Kovalevs were a staple of Holodrum's Goron population for many years. They're primarily known for their fine smithing, creating keys and tuning forks for their tribemates' instruments. It had been many years since they'd held the seat of power in the region, however, so as Brynja grew into a strong, confident, charismatic Goron, special care was given to training her in the tradition and history of the tribe. It was only natural that when the previous chief announced his intention to step down, she should volunteer to take his place.
[break][break]
FOR A TIME THAT WE'VE BEEN TOLD TO KEEP... Her first few months were riddled with scuffles and disagreements. The tribe had spent many years under the rule of the more lax elder chieftain; Brynja and their strict ideas of how things should be done, chafed at the tribe. Things settled down significantly once she surrendered to the tribe's request to stop using single combat as a method of conflict resolution.
[break][break]
...SINCE OUR LIVES BEGIN. More recently, Brynja has learned to resolve disputes through the power of logic and reason. (It helped significantly when the former chieftain stepped in with the offer to mentor her.) She follows the letter of the law more than her heart, so she can be trusted as a fair and impartial judge, but this makes her moderately unpopular with the younger generation of Holodrum Gorons. For the most part, however, they respect her for her kindness and devotion outside of her work.
BRASS KNUCKLES: Brynja forged these for herself many years ago. They're very simple and undecorated; some found them unfit for a chieftain, but she settled any disputes quickly and with only minor bruising (for her part, anyway). They've grown a bit tarnished with the years, but she loves them all the same. [break][break]
+ Fire Resistance: The goron race reside in hot climates, and were once a race of stone, making them immune to the touch of flames. [break][break] + Tough Skin: Because of their evolution from a stone race, the goron people still retain a tough skin that allows protection from blunt weapons. [break][break] - Weak to Water: Gorons do not bode well with water (however this does not mean that they cannot swim!) and will take extra damage from water type magic. [break][break]
OTHER: Brynja carries the hope and love of her people, of course! (And jerky. She has a real fondness for jerky. She will happily share with any citizen of the Goron Mountains.)
