He tried to defend his words, though it was apparent by the rather unamused look on the girl’s face that this did not seem to work in the slightest, and if anything it perhaps made things even worse. He really wasn’t good at social cues and the sorts as he mostly spent his time on the battlefield or the training grounds. Of course, he did understand where she was coming from considering it was the concern for the health of her father, though he didn’t know how he was going to lighten the mood and his attempt seemed to dig a deeper hole.
But then she suddenly was pleased and he fixed things?
It confused him which in turn caused him look a bit dumbfounded as he raised an eyebrow at the suddenly smiling girl. Did having business with her really fix things? It was a mystery, but she seemed pleased and that was good enough which in turn caused the male to smile a tad.
Arms crossed as he leaned against a nearby counter, Asura casually glanced around the shop looking at the wares it held and then glanced over at the girl that was packing and grabbing the things that he requested. “Injured men? Ah...right...nothing of the sort...” Asura said narrowing his eyes as he glanced over to the side. “The beasts have been growing more active lately and their numbers have been growing...” Asura said. He had been doing his best to fight them off of late and while his squad was for the most part uninjured, Asura couldn’t say he hadn’t really been pushing himself. In a way, Asura was rather reckless when it came to his own safety. “Ah, that’s right...could you throw in some bandages to the bill?” Asura said. Thinking on it caused the wounds on his body from the latest battle to throb a bit and the bandages that he shoddily self-applied upon his torso really weren’t helping
The heat was blazing hot yet the two trekked through the desert, walking past the sandy ground towards their destination. Asura began to really wonder why exactly he was here, but he couldn’t really blame anyone other than himself for taking on this mission. It was surprising enough to get a request from the scribe of the Shadow Seekers, but it made sense why he needed assistance as Zora and heat did not mix rather well. If anything Asura walked on expecting a fight or two but so far the monsters had been dormant for now in this area. Perhaps some of the other seekers might have already dispatched them, but it was best to be careful with the sudden influxes of hoards appearing at times.
The swordsman calmly walked on, his usual armor was worn waist down, however his upper body lacked the armor, mostly wearing just a black tanktop and a cloak that covered his body. He really didn’t really want to be cooked alive and as a sheikah he wasn’t particularly best friends with the sun’s light. “Yeah yeah...” Asura said lazily closing his eyes and rubbing the back of his neck as he trailed along behind the Zora calmly, not really that interested in the trip as per the rather dull look on his face.
Finally arriving at the Oasis was a relief to be honest and the thought of perhaps hitting a bar was something that crossed his mind. It seemed to be bustling about, though he really wasn’t a fan of large crowds of the sort. “Well then, its been fun Nex. You go on and do your thing while I’ll be over at the bar. Holler if you need me” Asura said as he turned away and started to walk off, raising his hand in farewell, but his crimson eyes couldn’t help but glance over at the hawker shouting on about some heroic challenge or something of the sorts. Walking over to the area, Asura crossed his arms and watched with rather dull eyes before closing his eyes. “hmph...laughable...” Asura said.
It was clear that the girl was in there as evident by the guards letting him forward, though if she flat out ignored him then he wouldn’t really blame the girl. Being the lord commander was quite a deal of work, work that he knew of all too well and would rather avoid. That being said, he tended to check up on the young commander and check to see if she was doing well.
Upon receiving permission to enter, Asura opened the door and closed it behind him; walking up to her desk and pausing as he casually crossed his arms. “You seem to be doing rather well. I trust you are getting along with the other seekers?” Asura said as he began to rummage through a satchel that he wore. “I figured it has been a while and my report is rather late so why not bring it personally” Asura said as pulled out a bundle of papers and tossed it upon the desk. “Now that I have completed my task, I do hope you haven’t been overworking yourself” Asura said as he couldn’t help but smile softly. “How about we talk over some drinks?” Asura said.
Asura walked in expecting the usual deep voice of the shop owner he was rather familiar with, but what instead welcomed him was not a masculine voice, but a rather friendly feminine voice as well. Asura’s eyes couldn’t help but burst open a bit widened, but he instantly closed them once more, lowering his head as his face, rubbing the back of his neck a bit embarrassed. “whelp...looks like I just got caught” Asura said as he walked in and straightened his posture once more, glancing over at the girl.
“I’ve faced and challenged countless beasts over my life, but I’m not foolish enough to face the great challenge of an angry dad” Asura said. Sure the girl might have been old enough for a drink, but he didn’t want to incur the wrath of her father for getting his daughter drinking early in the day. That being said he did get the girl's message and he couldn’t help but rub the back of his neck nervously. "er...I...said I only got it and said he’d enjoy it? Surely I did not say anything about drinking it anytime” Asura said looking to the side nervously with his rather weak defense. Regardless, stopping by town by night for some drinks didn’t sound half bad so it was something he considered.
Noticing her gesture to the list, Asura glanced down at the small piece of paper and gave a nod. “Ah yes, that’s right, I will be needing a few supplies for the base. Mostly rations, rope, candles, parchment and ink” Asura said reading off the list before his eyes glanced up at Aelin and crossed his arms. “It’s actually lucky that I’ve managed to see you today, I was hoping to see if you had some herbs for healing use” Asura said as he let out a sigh. “Things are getting rather rough out there and it’d be best to have something to help” Asura said.
The cold winds blew and a frosty breath was released from the lips of the swordsman. The cloak that coated his body began to rustle from winds all while he stood before a large keep surrounded by snow. It had been some time since he had been here and though he kept in touch, there was a sense of nostalgia every time he returned to this rather old keep. His trek to the mountainous keep of the Shadow Keepers was at an end and though he took the time to at the very least think back to memories of old, he eventually began to continue his trek inside, the crunching noise of snow under his boots continuing as he entered the keep.
The feeling of warmth that greeted him upon entry was something that was welcomed after a long journey. He was met with a few other Shadow Seekers that also welcomed the captain, but though he could have chosen to relax after his journey, he had other plans that he wished to attend to. His arrival to the keep was actually a bit of a surprise, a rather spontaneous decision so to speak as he did not give word that he was coming over. His usual report had not been sent and was starting to run on late, though Asura felt it would be better to hand it in person.
Throwing his cloak over his shoulder, walking in his red armor, the male walked down the halls of the keep, his destination in mind before eventually he came upon a few large doors. The guards that stood stationed by the doors were welcomed by a nod from Asura and in turn they returned a nod back. The guards took a step aside and Asura merely raised a hand and knocked upon the door with his knuckle. “Hey, it’s been a while. You got time?” Asura said casually.
The world had changed so much in his time. The peaceful land that was once booming with life had been reduced to mere ruin and destruction, yet people evolved and moved on. They were able to rebuild and grow once more and though it may not have been the wondrous splendor it was before, the advancements they made was still to be praised. Walking through the streets of Hateno allowed the Sheikah captain to marvel at such advancements, but in this case the stern looking man was more so looking down at a little piece of paper, a rather disgruntled look upon his face.
The Shadow Seekers were a group that fought terrible monsters and kept the village safe, but aside from fighting terrible monsters, they still had a life and more so it was Asura’s turn to grab the stuff needed for the base. Food and materials were necessary, though he honestly rather be sleeping or training than walking around shopping.
The streets were rather crowded, bustling about as people went about the day. Though Asura was wearing a rather casual attire that did not stick out, it was more so his dull and naturally stern looking face that seemed rather out of place along with the rather long sword that remained attached to his back. At the very least he knew of a rather reliable shop that he tended to frequent when he needed thing and he was at the very least grateful for their assistance. The moment that he reached his destination, Asura pushed the door open, the steps of his boots upon the wooden ground echoing along with the ringing of a small bell that would ring upon the open of the shop door. “Morning Hallivard, I trust all is well? I managed to snag some Kakariko sake that I'm sure you'll enjoy” Asura said calmly walking in, eyes closed as he let out a sigh. He knew the shop owner quite well, sharing a couple of drinks with the man at times.
Those days were filled with nothing but war, deceit, and tragedy, and yet it was perhaps a time that one could say was Hyrule's most shining time. Back when Asura was a young Sheikah boy, he grew up listening to the tales of the legendary hero and goddess incarnate princess and their tales to rid the darkness. As the child of a Sheikah knight, it was pretty much imbued into him of the duty he held to the royal family. He strove to become a knight to protect the royal family, so that maybe his name could be a part of those very legends he grew up with. [break][break] Asura was but a young knight when everything went wrong. Betrayal, tragedy, conflict, and misery plagued the land of Hyrule. Asura was just a nobody in the grand scope of things, but he bore witness to the struggles those leaders and heroes had to go through and after all their pain and struggles, it was just heartbreaking for the calamity to be their reward. [break][break] He fought for Hyrule, he fought against the seize of monsters that plagued the land. It no longer became about just wanting to serve his duty or build a name, but merely to aid those valiant heroes he admired greatly. Asura went into that battle expecting to die for his country, but when his vision finally went black, he did not expect that he would be able to see light once more. [break][break] Asura fell in battle, but he was one of the few survivors to be rescued and healed. The fight was over by the time he finally awoke and all that awaited him was a damaged land saved by a woman that had sacrificed so much in her life. [break][break] The war was over, and yet Asura felt weak and pathetic. There was nothing more he could have done, and yet the feeling of frustration and failure filled him. The numerous monsters that plagued the land were a constant reminder of his failures and all he knew was he wanted to rid the land of them. [break][break] With sword in hand, Asura went about the land dedicating his life to slaying beasts. He spent long years on this quest with no end in sight, but all he wanted to do was rid himself of the sorrow and frustration he felt. It was inevitable that he would meet the Shadow Seekers, a small group seeking candidates to join their cause. Asura initially rejected their invitation as he preferred to work alone, however, he found himself in numerous situations where he had to work alongside them numerous times. Eventually, Asura built a bond with the commander at the time and in the end was swayed to join their group. [break][break] For the majority of his life and for hundreds of years, Asura devoted himself to the Shadow Seekers. Asura was one who never really found himself desiring to take any role other than a mere warrior to cut down his enemies, but it was due to his experience that Asura found himself stepping up and taking the role of temporary Lord Commander whenever the previous Lord passed. It was because of the numerous times he took control that Asura eventually was badgered into taking the role of captain of their Hateno base.

SPELL:[break] Hollow Blade: A spell of darkness that mostly is used as a strengthening spell. With this spell, Asura can call forth dark magic to summon forth dark magic to coat an item or weapon of choice. The item in mention will find itself coated with a sharp dark surge of energy. For the most part, Asura uses this spell upon his sword, usually strengthening it with dark energy that strengthens its sharpness and striking power. An alternative Asura also uses is that he instead imbues this spell into his arm, coating it with the blade-like dark energy that allows him to use his arm like a sword. Asura can release the energy from the item as a projectile, however, it takes time and concentration to reuse the spell once it has been released. [break][break]
RACIAL ABILITY: [break][break] + Night Vision: All Sheikah are able to see in the dark if they possess crimson-colored eyes; however, they will glow in the darkness, making Sheikah a target for attacks if the others cannot see in the shadows. [break][break] + Lens of Truth: Sheikah have a natural ability to resist illusionary magic of equal or lower rank of their arcane trait. [break][break] + Weak to Light: Sheikah are weak to light attacks due to their natural ability to thrive with shadow based magic. Due to this, they will take extra damage to light magic.
