shining bright she is like the sun, waiting there for her fate to come
This was a trial? Some part of her couldn't believe that. Simply because while threatening, the chuchu's were easily taken care of. If this was a real trial, they could expect a much harder obstacle. At least that is the conclusion she came to, but there was still the possibility of being wrong. Walking closely behind Garrett, she noted the mechanism he pointed out and awaited the hope of treasures from the chest to be fulfilled.
When it wasn't she only gave out a sigh of disappointment followed by a scowl upon her lips. Eyes glanced upwards to meet Mal's and she furrowed her brows. His comment, while given to Garrett, was intended to 'protect' her.
"I'm twenty years old! Jeez, it's not like you can't talk like that in front of me... I mean, soon i'll.. he'll...--" she said, breaking up at the end as she thought about her promise to Perseus and the fulfillments that will follow. A king needs an heir after all. But right now that was only Percy's and her's secret, one that would be revealed in time.
With cheeks as red as tomatoes, and head held high, she paraded through the opened threshold with a grin upon her face, her future distracting her from the surroundings of the temple, and rather the magnificent and beautiful sight of the forest temple. Vines crawled up walls illuminated by torches lit across the chasm. Pillars held up the strength of the ceiling, and water symmetrically lined the edges of the room with small waterfalls filling each.
The entirety of the room was peaceful, something that would clearly change once they approach. Seen against the back wall was another chest, and a clear metal door. Perhaps the key could be used for one of those, but first...
Someone had to do something about the gathering purple cloud in the room. Its rattle and maniacal laugh gave it away quickly, manifesting itself in the center of the room. A poe ghost, one not very big or threatening, but this one carried something intriguing. Around its neck rested a metallic green medallion.

Break Me, Hate Me, Let me feel as hurt as you, But promise me you will never let us go, Save Me
Stepping aside, she watched the Doctor give his quick examination. Uneasiness crept from her stomach up to her mouth, tasting like bile and stinging the back of her throat. Her concerned expression never faded, her frame hovering just a few steps from them to gaze at the medic do his work. The exposed wound came into view, red burning flesh and thick dark stained coagulation that made her sick from imagining the pain he endured.
"C-cut!?" she exclaimed, the horror of his situation becoming her knowledge. She bit on her bottom lip, uselessness muddying her mind. She couldn't help him, and began to fret the next coming moments. Walking to the tall wooden cupboard in her room, she removed several towels. They were fresh, white and clean, --and were about to be colored red of ichor. "I...I-'ll g-go fetc-h some hot water...." Stuttered words as she turned to leave for another moment, "Lay down and I'll return quickly," she asked, glancing to her king, urging him to lay down in her bed. This was to be a long evening.
Upon returning, she brought a basin of steaming water, setting that on the oak table beside her bed. Iris's cast down upon his body as she stood beside the medic, her hands reaching for a towel to soak it in the water, while handing another to the King so that he may use it as he wished.
The doctor reached in his brought bag for several tools that he would use, they were metallic and shimmered silver, and kept pristine for a job such as this. It was scalpel that he took up, and instantly Kura broke down into tears. Percy's pain, she would share it with him, grasping his hand tightly. "I am here... I am here," she whispered to him quietly, her other hand wiping away his silver bangs from his skin. He was already burning in temperature, and they had yet to even start. He was scared, she could feel that.
She was scared too.
Eyes closed and stinging cheeks, she waited for the sounds of the first cut.

shining bright she is like the sun, waiting there for her fate to come
The warmth of Garrett's body pressed against her back, her field of vision opening as he moved to stand behind her. It was surprising, the young woman staring down the bouncing mound of jelly with wide eyes, -- he wasn't insisting on placing himself in front of her, like this... she felt like he wanted to fight with her, instead of FOR her.
It may have been presumptuous for her to feel like that, and he may only be at her back to better protect her, however that did not stop her from pulling her own blade. She held it just as Artemis had taught her, her eyes on the mass of gelation that wiggled closer. She inhaled, taking a step forward and rotating her wrist only slightly, before striking with that step. Her blade met the small amount of resistance of the Chuchu, a squeak erupting from its area before it exploded into a goopy mess at her feet.
She did it! She killed the Chuchu!
With a smile of pride on her lips she turned to glance back at Garrett, hoping he would have seen her pitiful excuse for success in a fight.
"A chest?"
She said on her lips, gaze moving to the mass that remained in the center of the torch lit room. She furrowed her brows with determination, before turning back to slash her blade at another mound of jello. The cut of her sword cleaved it in two, it also meeting a fate similar to the first.
"Wouldn't we need a key to open the lock?" she inquired. Is it the norm to leave a guarded chest unlocked? Why put in a trap if they were just going to make it that easy?

Break Me, Hate Me, Let me feel as hurt as you, But promise me you will never let us go, Save Me
As if she suddenly had an epiphany, the young woman gasped, her mind returning to the fact, --that he was slowly bleeding out. It was just earlier that she had screamed out for help, and she found it strange that no one had heard or came to assist her. Biting on her bottom lip, Kura nodded and stood, offering her hands to help him up.
"Can you stand? Can you walk?"
Would it really be a good idea for him to walk?
Kura sighed, her hands moving to the top of his tunic, "Take it off. I will bring the medic here. You are too awful to walk... Please just stay here," she said, the pads of her feet already crossing the distance to the door. Eyes looked back, her stomach dropping into a deep pit of uneasiness. The sight of him, bloody and weathered, was it an omen of what was to come for them?
Stepping out of the room she ran as fast as she could, hair trailing behind her as the fires of the infirmary illuminated the dark of the ruined castle. In between pants she was able to direct him, getting the medics attention and urging for his help. She didn't know him personally, other than the fact that he treated her, --and her sister, but that didn't stop the pleading expression she had.
"Please hurry!" she cried out, the man more worried about her own appearance rather than the words that came out of her mouth.
She was gone for mere minutes, bursting through the door to her room, hoping to see Perseus still standing there and conscious. The medic quickly trailing after her, his own breath ragged from running across the castle behind the princess.

Break Me, Hate Me, Let me feel as hurt as you, But promise me you will never let us go, Save Me
"...Majora...." the name lingering on her lips like a bad taste on her tongue. With her sister having returned to them in a deathlike sleep, and her own rest needed, she had received small amounts of information regarding the situation they were thrown into.
She seen how much that name affected him, like a taboo subject that parents kept carefully away from their children. Something terrible happened in that castle, and with time she would know, but for now she only desired to sooth her quivering king.
Kura smiled softly, her hands reaching up to graze over his as fingers traced over her cheeks. What he asked was sudden, rather crazy as a matter of fact, but she knew that it would mean alot for him, and honestly a part of her desired that as well. In this world that was quickly being swept into darkness, the two of them could be happy, if only for a small amount of time. "Yes my love, I will go back to Labrynna with you. We can get married, in whatever fashion is best."
On the verge of tears, a lip trembled as closed eyes buried themselves against the flesh of his hand. She wanted to feel safe, even if it was just for a fleeting moment, maybe in the arms of her beloved she could feel that once again.
Bright blue eyes gazed up at his, decorated with a pleading expression. Her voice cracking with despair, "I am scared too Perseus... I have never felt so helpless.... and so useless." With Zelda the way she was, that left her brother and herself in charge, and she had even yet to talk to Artemis. What was their next move to be? Is staying in Hyrule the best option for them?
"Please stay here with me tonight my love, I need you near me..." she said softly, the forethought of him disappearing forever weighing heavily on her mind. She refused to let go, as if he would vanish the mere moment she did.

shining bright she is like the sun, waiting there for her fate to come
The scent of sulphur filled her nose before the accent of light came into view. A smile started to spread on her lips in her relief for light, when the sudden sound of the door closing behind them sent her jumping back. Eyes searched for any indication of why, yet she only felt a deep rumble at her feet, and the click of a lock triggering. There was a mechanism in the door from the lit torches, and it made way for the space to open up.
Mal used his boot to gain entry into the next chasm and hesitantly Kura followed, her body always close to Garrett's in case anything was to jump out.
The light from the torches illuminated the ruin ahead of them, showing a large stone foyer, with several pillars and even some broken ones. The room however was rather empty, except for the large shadowy box that resided in the middle. She couldn't see it very well, and with the silence, assumed it was nothing important, until she stepped forward and the stone beneath her feet caved in. With another audible click, there was a slight rumbling and the sound of chains rattling in movement.
"AAAHHH!!" she screamed, trying to undo her mistake by stepping back. Except it was futile, and the chains stopped after the sound of a door opening.
Something was coming.
From the center of the room, there were faint sounds of water dropping, the pattern nigh-unrecognizable. The sound only describable as "Schloop".
Repeated sounds echoed in the room, and one by one they entered the light of the torch, though her guards could have seen them much farther away.

Break Me, Hate Me, Let me feel as hurt as you, But promise me you will never let us go, Save Me
Her concerned gaze deepened as delicate fingers moved to graze the cheeks of her king. Kura has never seen him like this, so broken and afraid, -- and it frightened her. What happened that would cause him to lose his sanity like this? The details of the event with Eleazar had yet to be explained to her, as they were waiting until the next morning to hold a council, so she could only imagine the horror he experienced to cause him this degree of trauma.
"That is what they are saying. I am still quite in the dark... everyone is really. My sister," she hesitated, knowing that he would feel concern for Zelda, "She is not conscious right now. So it is hard to say what is real and what is not."
Kura teeth clamped down on her quivering lip in her attempt to not come to tears. She felt his pain, both mind and body, and her heart yearned for his smile again. She wanted to just stay there and hold him gently, to comfort him as he needed, but it was about what was best, for all of them. The idea of leaving sounded nice in her head, but it was far from pragmatic.
"Perseus... It has always been life or death. Eleazar could have made his move a long time ago... We all could have died even before Eleazar stepped foot in Hyrule."
Blue eyes focused on his, trying to convey her emotions without overwhelming him. He was slowly slipping, and she had to earnestly try to prevent that.
"I don't know what happened in that castle... but I do know, that if he had the power to do something, he would have already. He is waiting.. for something I am unsure, but he is waiting."
The young woman leaned forward to press her forehead against his, her hands clasping into his tightly.
"Percy,-- the world isn't safe anymore. Do you really think he will just stop at Hyrule? What's to say they will not try to reprimand the whole isle? Labrynna, Holodrum... Hyrule. I don't think anything can sate his greed," she explained slowly, "But he is back... The Hero, and I am not going to abandon my people, and my sister, when they need me the most."
She tried her best to give him a smile without breaking into tears, "I know you will not abandon your duty as well. You are strong My King."

Break Me, Hate Me, Let me feel as hurt as you, But promise me you will never let us go, Save Me
Ocean blue orbs opened up to the view of a blood red sunset, the stars peeking past the purple hued clouds on their first night riding home. The rock of the horse under her body lulled her in the arms of her sheikah retainer, who was so adamant to carry her despite having a wagon or two on the ride. His protection was soothing and the sound of his heartbeat acted like a lullaby, so she slept, her exhaustion crashing over her like a wave. It wasn't until they had arrived at home did she even utter a word, her soft words like a blessing to the concerned friend who carried her diligently to her room.
The forest was quiet, the silence mocking their solemn demeanor as they worked to settle into the cold yet welcoming ruins of ancient Hyrule Castle. Men limped to an empty cot, Royals retreating to their quarters for much needed rest, and the Princess was cleaned and dressed to lay in her large pillowed bed. Yet sleep feigned her, allowing the traumatic sensation of the memories to replay in her head over and over.
Kura knew that nightmares would torment her should she forcefully fall asleep, and instead found some solace with a leather bound book in her hand. Garrett had left her alone for once, seeking his own treatment and perhaps to harass the guards about the security of his ward. Either way she sat in the dark candle lit room, her damp washed hair framing her face and strewn around her petite torso. She appeared exhausted, dark circles encompassing the underneath of her normally cheerful and bright eyes. She even wore a stoic scowl upon her lips in the lack of enthusiastic expression.
The sudden rap at her door caught her attention, her gaze lifting from the words of her book to the wooden iron-wrought barricade. She didn't expect any company, and Garrett would have just entered without knocking, so she was speechless in her confusion. Before she could slip out of bed and answer the door, she found it opening and the sight of Perseus coming into view.
A moment of silence and hesitation came over her, like the image of him was a figment of her imagination, --but it wasn't, he was very much so real, and stood in front of her. The young king was covered in blood, and she couldn't tell if it was his own or someone else's. Clothes torn, eyes red from lack of sleep, he even wore the elements of the weather outside on his body. He looked ghostly and weak, and he fell to his knees.
The book in her hand fell to the stone floor at her bare feet and in her linen night dress she ran to him with tears in her eyes. She immediately cast her arms around his shoulders, trying not to hurt any part of him that may have been. The pent up emotions of fear and helplessness returned, yet she couldn't help but find a smile at her love's return. "Shhh..." she whispered, her body quivering from excitement and anxiety,"I am here... you are here, --we are alive." Eyes and fingers traced over him, pulling back the bloodied tunic he wore. An audible gasp passed her lips and she immediately sprang onto her feet, finding reserves of will and strength to scream out, "SOMEONE HELP ME PLEASE!", her arm flinging open the door to her room, and the soft pads of her feet running up and down the hall, "ANYONE?! PLEASE!"
Tears continued to fall as she returned to him, desperately trying to remove his shirt, not caring about the stains that now decorated her stark white dress.
"PLEASE DON'T DIE!" she yelled out, panicking at the gorish sight of blood and mangled bandage, "I need you..."

(( Sorry bout the delay peeps, been a busy world I live in and this thread didn't take priority over the event ones. My apologies. Also, this will probably be the last round of posting, as it is a good place to stop and get our exp and rupees. Also this will count as Hono's induction to the H.O.H, but Emil will remain in the Kokiri member group. ))
Their reactions were not quite what Kura was expecting. They grew excited over the story given and were determined in the choice to help how they could. Emil would be useful with his wares, and perhaps Hono --who wished to meet Zelda, could do something around the camp at first. Either way Kura just smiled reluctantly and nodded her head.
"I'm sure you have alot to tell you...-- uhh.. deku tree, and I have to notify my brother of the two of you. Boy are they going to be interested at the two of you. Kokiri haven't been seen really, and those that have, well no one believes them."
Standing from the wooden stump under her, Kura stretched and ran her hands through her hair before giving a soft sigh. She was certainly thankful for the Kokiri getting her back home, but things took a turn she was not expecting!
"I can show you around the camp I suppose. Then we can figure out what to do with you. I'm sure Emil will want to meet our smiths and masons, though they can't do much with the limited supplies we have." She said as she walked forward, waiting for the two of them to hopefully follow after her
The moment ended too quickly; the expression on his face, the desire to feel his lips again, -- it all twisted her stomach into knots. Kura smiled happily and let her fingers intertwine with Percy's as he led her across a bridge and onto the castle grounds. She laughed as she realized the Prince's joke about making her leap off the cliff, but she was happy to have been able to express her trust to him by doing so.
Hand in hand, they walked the gardens and inside the castle, their steps growing slower and slower as they tried to make their time together last longer. She sighed reluctantly and nodded her head in reply. She wanted to hold out just a bit longer, but it was time that they parted to get some sleep. That, and she was sure that Perseus had to go pull Asthar out of some brothel somewhere. Kura smiled gently with the parting kiss on her hand and hesitantly waved goodbye before turning to head to her room.
She opened the door and with a long exhale, pulled off her fancy garment, leaving her dress slip on and falled into the large fluffy bed. With her face buried in pillows she grinned from ear to ear, her heart racing as she realized just what happened.
A creak of wood was the signal that Garrett was perched in the rafters above her bed. His voice softly echoing, "Did you have fun princess?"

For some reason -- Kura was not surprised about their answer. She had a feeling that they had no idea about the current war or the threat that eerily creeped over the realm. She simply sighed and raised her hand to rest on her cheek, thinking of where to start in this story.
"Okay so to start, I am Kura, a princess of Hyrule. The people you see around here are those that are loyal to our family. To explain why we are living in these ruins and not in Castle Town... well it was stolen, by a really bad guy, and we were forced to leave," she said slowly, trying to make sure that they got all of the information, "This guild is about getting the throne back, and releasing the Hero. You must know about the incarnations right? Well my sister, Zelda, is the incarnation of the Goddess..." she hesitated to continue, her mind thinking about how she first reacted when her father tried to explain just what her sister was. She was quite little back then, sitting on her dad's lap as he told the story. Kura was so adamant back then about being the hero and saving the realm, but it did not work like that.
She shook her head and refocused back on Emil and Hono, her brows furrowing as she continued, "You see, the Hero was recently punished by the Goddesses and sealed within the sacred realm, and we have to get him back! He is the key to bringing peace back to Hyrule. Because that really badman, he is doing some evil stuff and the citizens of Hyrule are paying for it. We have to hurry before they lose any more faith in us. So to sum it all up, these are our allies." she finished, gesturing to the meandering folk that were doing their daily routines for the guild.
"It's dangerous though... any minute Eleazar can send in some men to take us out... it's the forest that protects us really. The idea of getting lost certainly is what keeps that possibility away."

shining bright she is like the sun, waiting there for her fate to come
So far the temple was nothing more than an moldy smelling ruin. Not that she was expecting more, but there was no writing on the walls or spoopy lit lanterns to really put the edge on. Following Mal's instruction she waited firmly for them to catch up and eagerly smiled up at the two of them. Of course she was getting the normal lecture from her retainers, but it was along with their approval to proceed into the temple, so in all she was not disappointed.
With a giggle she looked up to the older sheikah and nodded, "I am not asking that we barrell head into danger! Taking it slow is much more my preference as you have no idea what kinds of things can be lurking in here....," she said before tapping her hand on the hilt of her blade, "I am however hopeful that I will be able to properly show you how much I have been practicing." Unlike her sister that had trained with her tutors for years in sword play, Kura had only recently desired to pick up the blade. In her mind she thought it would be wise to know how to defend herself in case she was without Garrett or Malikeith (which was not often lemme tell ya ).
Before walking forward she raised her hand above her brow and squinted her eyes. Despite the small amounts of sunlight that peeks through the cracks in the stoney structure, it was still rather dark. "Do either of you have means of a light or a torch?... oh wait you can see in the dark..."
'Damn am I unlucky here', she thought before shuffling forward, supposing that she would just have to take it rather slow as she moved forward. "Maybe one of you t-two should lead... I am worried about stepping on something," she commented before moving to slip her hand into Garretts -- a common habit of her's when she was younger, if she was scared or frightened of something she insisted on holding his hand for comfort, but she had not done it in years.
It was as if the moon had moved just right, or that the clouds parted only for the moment, letting the light reflect off of the colored crystals and shine onto the two of them. His smile grew and Kura felt a fluttering tension in her stomach, which was enough for her to grin in return as he stepped forward and reached for her. He spun her around and she laughed, resting her hands on his shoulders as he effortlessly paraded her around. This moment; in which they shared their childish secrets, was the happiest she had ever been, and it made her even more so -- to see that is made him happy too. That was all she ever wanted, and she was blessed to know that it was her that could bring him that happiness.
Then he gave her the one thing she wanted, and needed, --he offered her a home. A place where she could belong and live happily in peace. He offered her that sanctuary that she yearned for ever since she was young. Hyrule never felt like home, as it was more like a prison to her; though it was her own uncertainties and depression that kept her locked away. Now with her birthplace under siege, she worked hard to free it, for her sister, as Kura had little intention of going back. So she could not express her gratitude enough as Perseus looked at her softly and asked for a kiss.
Heart racing, her face bright red, she gave a meek nod as she stared into his blue colored eyes. This was her first kiss, at least her first real one, as she couldn't forget that just earlier Garrett kissed her forehead before she left the castle. Instantly she began to panic, worrying about trivial things, such as if her palms were sweaty, or if her lips were chapped. Though none of them prevented her from closing her eyes and standing on her toes to inch closer to his face. Her hand raised to rest on his lower cheek before she made sure that their lips met. Though it was just a gentle kiss before she pulled back, opening her eyes to meet his, and wanting to hide in her awkward embarrassment.
'Was that terrible? Oh no! What if he doesn't like the way I kiss? What if I have bad breath?!'
"Perseus... I-" she said softly, fading off as she was unsure what to say.
