Standing outside, he was wondering whether or not he had not been clear enough the first time they had gone through this song and dance. The first time he starved this place out and more or less burned it to the ground. No, the fact was he had been perfectly clear, it's just that the person who had dared to abduct the two was deliberately trying to hurt him. And for going after those close to him, well, he was going to kill them. There was simply no other way to describe it. He wondered briefly if Majora had something to do with this. If that was the case, then there was no alternative, he would hunt her down and erase her, and any trace of her, from all creation. Just as he would do to the kidnapper.
Of course, some may have considered the divine glow radiating around him to be overkill. Alex figured that it wasn't overkill enough. He really didn't give a damn what Hylia had to say on this one, knowing her, probably some shit about turning the other cheek which he would pointedly ignore. Mercenaries had been hired, his Garo were likely in the process of infiltrating the fortress while his Zora were working on working a way open. Once he had the latter, he'd personally go in with all whatever divine fury he had backing him up. He would burn this place to the ground once again before it was all over.
What worried him though was that unless that woman had a way out, she was cornered, and who knew what desperate criminals like her would do when cornered. As he waited on his flagship as several ships blockaded the port, he chose to forego plate armor this time. He would undoubtedly be have to swimming before this was all over, and he didn't want to drown himself in the attempt. He just made do with some leather armor. Those mercenaries or adventurers or whatever they were should have been getting ready too.

In hindsight, the kite was a good idea. A real good idea, as he watched it soar harmlessly in the ocean breeze. He had to admit, it was a good plan of hers. He took a look over at Lycoris, seeing how she was faring. Really, being out at the beach suited her, she always seemed so much happier than whenever she was cooped up in the fountain. Really though, why wouldn't she? Nice as it was, beautiful as it was, it really didn't compare to the beauty of the outside world, and he wished there was a way he could heal her. If she could leave that damn fountain then well, the possibilities were endless.
When was the last time he'd gone fishing? Well the truth was not for years and years. Really, it was something he was sure he could still do if fishing was what she wanted to do, but he was surprised. "I haven't gotten my own food since my family's fortunes changed, really." Really why would you? Part of the enjoyment of it all, especially when his siblings were involved, was that his siblings got to be pampered by various servants, just as they should have been from the day they were born. If anything, he only really felt some regret over the fact that it took him so long to get there.
But a boat, well that might be a problem. "Anyway, if you know where we can get a boat," Without exposing each other's identities. He could always just commandeer one as the Emperor but that would defeat the point of it all. "Then by all means, let's head out to sea and see what we can catch." Honestly, what was the worst that could happen? He knew how to fish! He was pretty sure he could still harpoon even.

That sounded like Lycoris alright. Give up her one day in who knew how long to go spend it helping the others. Really, it was part of what made her so endearing to him, the idea that she could be so selfless and caring for others. But, he had to put his foot down, he really did. As it was, she already did so much where she could, she deserved a little Lycoris-time. "Oh no you're not." He chided her ever so slightly. She could get pouty and disappointed or whatever all she wanted, but the fact he pulled away and put his hand on his hip with a rather stern look made it clear he would not approve. "I did not fight Majora just so you could blow our day out helping with the Clock Tower." He huffed.
Besides it was just the Clock Tower, damage to Clock Town itself had been mitigated pretty well considering all the pains he'd gone through. "Clock Town is doing fine, aside from the initial murder we discovered by that pirate, we're still alive. I didn't take my guards in with me to fight Majora." He remarked, rather proud of that particular fact. Yes, not many people could say they confronted Majora by themselves and lived to tell the tale... well, whole anyway. Technically the fairy in front of him had survived, but from what he had heard, it'd been an awful experience.
Tapping the pommel of his new sword, which he'd brought for protection, as well as the side effect of not being recognizable from his other blade, he did concede, just slightly. "If you really want to help, you can bless this thing, and the armor that goes with it, later. Specifically later, when we're back from our trip." Besides, that sword was already special in its own right, a spark of the divine, something he'd forged just to deal with Majora if and when she came back. Oh yes, he would do everything he could to make sure that if she appeared in Termina again and dared to wreak havoc, he might be able to put her down for good.
But that would be another day. For now, they had something else to do. Holding out the picnic basket for the fairy to take, and moving the kite over to his back, he stepped around her to try and drape the cloak over her small frame... while simultaneously nudging her towards the entrance to her fountain. "Now, we have an ocean to go visit. Move it, move it!" She was looking so forward to this, Clock Town would be fine, he wasn't going to let her spoil her own day.

Oh yeah, she was mad. He'd really done it now. He dun goofed. Alex held his breath as he waited for whatever she'd throw at him. Emperor or not, there really wasn't much he could do when it came to defying the Great Fairies. That and he really didn't want to defy Lycoris and he really did feel bad about standing her up. The red aura wasn't helping. He didn't even know that they could do that sort of thing. Well, in hindsight, near omnipotent magical beings, so something as simple as an aura should have been easy. But still, wasn't that going just a little bit overboard in conveying how furious she was with him?
Or well, not with him. He let out a sigh of relief as she threw her arms around him, showing that while furious, he didn't seem to be the target. So that told him two things, one, the outing was still on, two, whoever she was pissed at was in for a world of hurt. Alex did his best as awkwardly positioned himself with everything he was holding so that he could wrap an arm around her waist and pull her close, taking a moment to enjoy the pleasant feeling he got simply by holding her to him. "I'm fine. When I was in Clock Town getting everything, we ran into a criminal, Alastor, that had been on the run. We chased him down to the Clock Tower." He started to explain. He didn't want to take too long, they had to get to their destination~
So he'd just keep it brief. "He had kidnapped a child, and planned to use them as a sacrifice." The kid was alive, he would be fine. Probably traumatized, but he'd live. "It worked... somewhat. The child was released unharmed, but he managed to summon Majora, who proceeded to seriously damage the Clock Tower." Rebuilding was already underway, it wouldn't take too long. The fact that he'd been there personally for the event had been a bit of a morale booster for Clock Town. "That's what kept me away, I had to fight Majora and keep her from fully entering Termina." Especially considering how far he'd gone.
Still, it didn't justify him being so rude to a lady! So with a squeeze from his hug, he could only let out a soft "Sorry." He wasn't sure what else he could do there. Least not yet.

Well, yesterday had been a nightmare. Oh he'd managed to get everything that was required for their outing in Clock Town as he planned, but then things had to go to hell with the appearance of an escaped criminal and the return of an actual deity for the first time in twenty years. Really, was she just going to be a pain in the ass on and off as long as he was ruling? He supposed then that it was a good thing he had that mask so he could keep scaring her off whenever she showed up. Also helped that he was able to rip some knowledge from the head of the spirit within, help prepare him for the next time. The new sword at his hip was proof of that. He had some protections for the two of them that seemed innocuous and in all honesty, he had to admit it was better than his old sword.
And thus he stood outside her fountain, alone for once. Oh she was gonna kill him for this. A day late. An entire day late for their planned outing. Really, he wasn't sure what he was going to say. He figured he could just tell the truth, he figured she'd believe him, he just wondered if she'd accept it. Although what else did he have? There wasn't much better he could do excuse wise than "I was fighting a literal demon god returned to the world." He hoped that would be an acceptable instance. Would she even know of Majora's return? Surely news of what had happened in Clock Town had spread, perhaps she would have heard of it? That might make things slightly easier, but only slightly so.
Stepping inside, he brought the kite, chocolate, a basket filled with their favorite foods (she may have said his, but he always thought of her too) and red cloak with him. He still figured red would look good on him. He himself looked rather... regular. Hair down, a simple white shirt with a dark vest over it. A pair of breeches and boots. Really, the only reason he was able to do this outside and alone was because in this state, he was pretty much impossible to recognize as the Emperor. But other people who knew of it would see right through it. He just hoped the fairy inside didn't judge him too harshly.

Part of what she had planned involved her not using a glamour? Well now, what in the world could Lycoris possibly be planning that she couldn't use her magic, no magic for it. He knew what to bring, and of everything, he wasn't even sure what about any of that magic could possibly interfere with. Alex crossed his arms as he got a curious look on his face. He had a feeling she probably wouldn't tell him even if he asked, the surprise would have to be kept, and what a surprise he was sure it would be. Still, it was going to be rough keeping her hidden. With her snow white hair and amethyst eyes, add in that Fairy beauty, and she was sure to stand out. A cloak might not help much.
Of course, he seemed to notice the subtle shifting of her face for a moment, but the shifting seemed to stop as she geared up to hit him again with more of her fountain water. This time, Alex saw it coming just a little bit sooner than he had the last. He raised this arms as he shielded his face from the oncoming water. He still got soaked, or more soaked, if he could be, but at least the cold sensation of the fountain hadn't blasted him in the face. It just continued to make him look a bit more like his old self, with blond locks, darker in color for the moment, drooping down and sticking to his face. "I won't forget, I'll make sure to have everything ready to go by tomorrow." he assured her.
So he needed a kite, a good cloak, and chocolate. He could get all of that in Clock Town tomorrow before he headed back here. On the back of a Goht it wouldn't take long if he got up early enough to get busy. What kind of cloak should he get though? Red maybe? Red seemed like it might be a good color on her. He rose to his feet. "Tomorrow then?" He just needed to make sure that he was actually there on time, it would not do to have a disappointed fairy on his hands~ He just needed to figure out how he was going to work all of this, she only had a few hours out of that fountain, so he had to make sure that everything would be perfect.
As things began to get a bit more chaotic, Alex couldn't help but take some minor amusement in the declaration that lady luck was on Alastor's side... only for the fishman to get chewed out by said lady merely moments later. There was a small twitch of his lips, a threat to smile; a terrible thing to behold. There was a small amount of pride in being able to make the demon look visibly concerned. He wondered if Alastor would take note of that, perhaps he would take it as a hint? He had his doubts but maybe there was at least one pleasant surprise in this shitshow. As it was, Lycoris already wasn't going to be happy, this was going to be holding up his outing with her. Son of a bitch, demons holding up his date. Come on.
But when Majora started speaking, he simply took his hand off his sword hilt and held it up as a way of telling her to be quiet while he continued to stare at Alastor. Though he did note the words. Even now she claimed all as hers then. This was why gods were problematic. They treated mortals merely as property and toys. "Democracy? Anarchy to the West. Oligarchy to the North. Monarchy to the South. Oblivion to the East." There was no widespread Terminean democracy, nor did one ever exist. Also, there were no more dead in Ikana. Where did that come from? "Furthermore, I have done nothing to dismantle Clock Town's election. I simply stand above the Mayor." He remarked as he nonchalantly pulled the object out of the cloth and flashed it in Majora's direction, not even turning his head, before returning it to the cloth. What he had shown however, was something worth noting... well, probably not to Alastor anyway. Simply pulling the object out illuminated the room., the mask being the face of a maiden fair. Indeed, it seemed almost unearthly.
"Not only have you failed at what little history you try to cite, but you don't even know the deity you worship. Majora has a soft spot for children, in what world does sacrificing a child to call for her sound like a good idea?" He may not been a fan of the gods, but he at least made sure to know what it was they stood for and shit before going on a crusade. Maybe that was a punchline in itself, the guy who had no love for the gods knew more than the supposed lifelong follower. "But perhaps this is a bad day to quote, fuck with you. It seems your little lady plans to do worse to you than I ever could. Shall I set an appointment after she's done?" He noted.

there were ways for kicking and screaming.
What in the world was the Emperor doing here? Well, his reason for being here was that the Carnival of Time would be held soon. It was his duty to oversee it and see that the festival went off without a hitch. It was a time for imperial citizens to break away from the monotony of their lives and experience some festivities. It was only fitting that he be there to make it grand for them. Of course, he had known about Alastor. The Zora was the most wanted man in Termina, after all. He was an Emperor with no external threats to face and nothing else to focus on, it would be hard for such a criminal to escape his notice, especially when dealing with an Emperor that took pride in his work.
So when there were suddenly cries of a Zora rampaging through Clock Town, Alex naturally took an interest. Taking his Custodian Guards, he looked to the captain. "Give her to me." He spoke softly, and he was handed an object swaddled in cloth. Three Gohts who had been patrolling were gathered, stepping into formation behind his guard, who surrounded the Emperor, spears out, shields up. With that, they simply went to the Clock Tower, where this villain had decided to make his stand. Of course, that plan quickly went to shit as demonic entities and shit started showing up inside the Clock Tower. Right, whatever the fuck was going on now was far beyond something that most people were ready to handle.
So Alex simply waved them away, carried his bundle inside, and stood amongst the two, their shadows, and the damned, hand on the hilt of his sword, simply staring down the demonic puppet master as fearless as he had claimed to be. Majora. he had heard, clear and ungarbled by the din. Had it been in his mind then? He looked down briefly, had it been a warning then? A simple identification from someone who, well, this would be interesting perhaps. He looked at the damned, the shadows, stirring as if terrified, and finally the demonic goddess herself, his eyes locking with hers, the glimmer of recognition apparent in his, as he reached ever so slightly into the cloth.
And then he completely disregarded her.
"Release the child, Alastor, and you will merely get the block. Otherwise I will have you crucified. You are outnumbered, outmatched, and surrounded. Make your choice. Make it now." He spoke, not even a tinge of fear readily apparent for someone who'd just met an evil demon goddess, the bane of all Termina. Really, what was up with that?

Bring the chocolate. The other things he could get, bring some food and bring a kite. From what he had to guess, maybe the Great Bay? It was a great place to fly a kite, plenty of place to run, nice outdoor breeze, the salty scent of the air. Maybe that's where she was feeling like going. Still, he couldn't help but find some amusement in the specific request for chocolate. "You really are hooked on that stuff aren't you?" He let out a chuckle. She was a powerful fae that was older than nearly everyone in the world as far as he knew, wise beyond her years with the experience and magic to boot. Yet he had managed to perhaps discover her weakness was that of simple chocolate. "Fair enough, none of that should be difficult to acquire."
And don't come all dolled up. Fair enough, if he was recognized it would be a hassle, they would want his attention or something and that would just ruin the time out. Then there'd be the scandal of being along with the Great Fairy. Though would that be a bad thing? Maybe not. Nodding, he agreed. "I could just let my hair down and wear something different." Sure, he may have looked natural all dolled up, but even minor changes could render someone completely unrecognizable. Really, if nothing else, it'd be less changing how he looked and more going back how he used to look. When he'd first met Lycoris he didn't have the whole regal Imperial style going. He was just a guy with messy hair and standard clothes.
Taking a moment to contemplate the use of a cloak though, he found it a bit odd. "Do you really need a cloak though? I always imagined you could just fix a glamour if you really wanted to hide." Really, the idea that she had magical limits was a bit of an odd one. He understood she was permanently injured, but that was physical, not magical. He could get a cloak, but he always figured that cloaks seemed to draw some attention because it was an obvious way of saying you didn't want to be noticed. But, if it was a cloak that she wanted, it was a cloak that he would get. Getting her what she wanted was the least he could do!

Alex grunted as he did his best to shield himself from the splash of water that collided with him. Instead though, it went straight into his face, matting his hair down and getting rid of that fancy style that they worked so hard to make look prim, proper, and regal. In truth, he preferred it like this. It was more in line with how he looked before he came into... all this. The empire, the riches, all of that. He'd come here to ask for her blessing before he was even King. Yes, Lycoris was one of the few that knew who Alexander was, rather than the many who knew of Emperor Iskandar. He looked through his dripping locks to her before he laughed. "Only in numbers." He complimented.
Still, she wanted to go somewhere the moment he had a free day? She'd been building up energy to get out of the Fountain for a bit then. For a moment, he felt a brief pang of heartache as he was reminded that she was trapped here for vast majority of her time. It also reaffirmed that he needed to find a way to get her healed up so he could get her out of this fountain. Nice as it was, she should be able to explore as she pleased, see the world, live in a mighty castle. Anything like that. But for now, Alex could only smile as he gave her a soft, pleased look. "Tomorrow then." He was the motherfucking emperor, and if he felt like taking a day off, he could damn well take a day off.
Playing hooky though? She wanted to be discreet then. "Anything you want me to bring?" Just what could she possibly be planning? Perhaps he should forego all the regalia and all that, just come as Alex or something.

And there she was, as brilliant as any star in the sky. Really, why she ever chose Lycoris was beyond him when she was so much better. Reaching over, he took the peach and began to ruthlessly tear into it. It was just too sweet not to, really. He was Emperor, he had access to all the most exotic foods in the known world, and here he was, simply tearing into a normal peach. He simply nodded to her question as to whether his day had been good before continuing to tear into the peach. It had only been a couple minutes before everything but the pit had remained, and there was no way he was eating that crap. It was just in time to answer about the paperwork, the bane of any monarch, yes.
Alex laughed a bit at that. "I actually enjoy it, believe it or not." Yes, what most kings considered the bane of their existence, Alex actually didn't really mind doing. Writing policy, signing laws, writing correspondence, all these things, the Emperor took joy in doing. It was something that helped the Empire, it was something that helped his subjects. It was this diligence and the paperwork that allowed him to build the wealth that allowed his siblings to live the good life. He had much to be thankful for all because he read some paper and wrote his name on it now and then.
"But this has been a good day, yes. You always make it even better." He smiled, wiping his mouth. For an Emperor to act so... unseemly! It was boorish! But he could be a boor around Lycoris and he always enjoyed that. Still, "Have you had any trouble today?" He wanted to know. She was stuck here, her injuries made that clear. Someday he'd figure out a way to get her out of the fountain, to heal her beyond even what her own powers could accomplish. He stepped closer to the fountain waters before sitting himself down at their edge, marveling at just how clean and crystal clear they were.
